Ferades wis the corner for Chievo and takes it. He delivers the cross, but Abbiati makes an easy save. The Flying Donkeys are playing well here. Milan look a little relaxed.

Milan get the second half underway as Chievo make a couple of changes.
Two goals from Pato have given Milan a comfortable lead against a decent Chievo side at San Siro. Both sides have had chances, the Rossoneri though are deservedly ahead. Ohhh! It should have been a hat-trick for Pato who smashes an angle drive across goal, but Sorrentino tips the ball out.
Ohhh! It's almost three from Milan as Ronaldinho finds Ibrahimovic who sees Sorrentino off his line and goes for the lob, but the goalkeeper makes up ground as he back-peddles to make the save.

Pirlo and Seedorf are playing well as they cover each other in the defensive third. Despite Milan's advantage, Chievo are playing well as we approach half-time.
Ohhh! Mistake by Antonini who gifts the ball the Bogliacino. He doesn't think twice about shooting, but Abbiati gets strong hands behind the ball.
Milan in full control here at San Siro. Chievo have offered little resistance.

How football changes, just when Chievo were getting back in, Milan dig the knife in to stretch their lead. Constant will be kicking himself as his double miss came seconds before Milan's second goal.
GOAL! Milan double their lead and it's Pato again! Ibrahimovic lays the ball off for the Brazilian from a free-kick and he smashes one through to beat Sorrentino. It takes a deflection off Andreolli on its way in.

Ohhhh! Sublime save from Abbiati on Constant's vicious strike. The Milan man tips the ball around for a corner. Great pressing by Chievo.
Free-kick Milan as Pirlo is brought down by Granoche who is on a yellow card. The Italian midfielder takes it and spins one over the wall... Sorrentino makes the save.

Good save by Abbiati who catches the ball from a Granoche header. Antonini should have done better there, but he losses his man.
Constant goes on a run for Chievo, but his shot is fizzed wide of Abbiati's goal. The visitors seem a little stunned by Milan's lead.

GOAL! Milan take the lead, and it's Alexandre Pato who marks his return to club action with the strike. Ibrahimovic with the assist and Pato finishes it with a sublime volley into the back of the net. No chance for Sorrentino.
Great pass from Pirlo who feeds Ibrahimovic with a ball over the top, but Sorrentino is quick to race off his line and anticipate the big striker who bears down on goal. Chievo escape.
As expected, Milan are dominating the affair as they keep possession. Seedorf whips in the cross... mix up by Cesar who lets it run, but Mantovani clears the ball downn the field.
Zambrotta plays a diagonal one-two with Ronaldinho, but the Brazilian's return is a poor one. Chievo escape as the Italian defender gets himself into a dangerous position.
Milan are very aggressive here, but Chievo are hanging on. The fans are on their feet now as they encourage the home side.
Great work by Ibrahimovic who forces the pressing... ohhh! Chievo clear and the ball goes out for the corner. Chievo clear the set-piece. However, Milan have upped the ante and are heaping the pressure on their opponents.
Bentivoglio does well with the cross from the right, Abbiati is there to make the save.
Good work by Chievo who pass the ball around well. Constant has a strike cleared by Silva. It's still with the Flying Donkeys who come forward with Pellissier... He shoots... over the crossbar!
It's Milan who have the first real chance of the game and it falls to Pato. He receives the ball on the edge of the box and shoots low, but Chievo's Sorrentino gets down to make the save. Promising start from the Rossoneri.

Milan can go top of the league with a win tonight for 24 hours at least as Lazio are away to Bari tomorrow. Brazil coach Mano Menezes is in the stands, he will be watching Pato, Thiago Silva, Ronaldinho and Robinho who is on the bench.
