Had precious little to do, though he did come off his line quickly to deny the onrushing Long in the first half. Could do nothing to stop Fryatt's wonderful effort before parrying well from Meyler.
A dominant performance that will have done his World Cup chances no harm. Strong in the tackle and carried the ball out of defence well.
Forced off inside 20 minutes after a collision with Figueroa saw him replaced by Vidic. His World Cup hopes may now be in doubt.
Looked to get forward but was involved in little of any note. If Evra is to depart, a suitable replacement he is not.
Showed some neat touches in and around the box. Almost opened the scoring when his deflected effort flew just over the bar in the first half.
Claimed his first assist in a United shirt and was a constant nuisance in the air from set-pieces. Lost the ball far too often, however, and picked up a booking for a poor challenge on Quinn. Should have scored twice in the second period but wasted both opportunities.
Caused Boyd and Rosenior plenty of problems early on as his runs helped create space for Januzaj. Faded as the game wore on.
Showed plenty of willing but most of his runs were horizontal rather than looking to penetrate the defence. Failed to take a good opportunity to impress.
Put in a strong showing while donning the captain's armband as he kept the ball effectively in midfield and won a number of challenges.
The best player on the pitch as he began on the right before taking up a roaming role as the match went on. Should have had an early penalty and saw a swerving effort saved in the second period. Superb run helped create Wilson's second.
Saw an effort blocked by Bruce but didn't let it deter him and opened the scoring with a thumping finish. Gained confidence thereafter as his movement caused problems and capped a magical night with his second goal before being substituted.
Had no chance with Wilson's opener but parried well from Januzaj's swerving effort. Coped well with balls into the box, though should have done better with Fellaini's original effort in the build-up to the second goal.
Out-jumped by Fellaini for the opening goal and sold himself far too early in trying to stop Januzaj for the second. Not the type of display that many have come to expect this season.
Did his best to get forward but was bettered by Januzaj on occasion. Replaced at half-time as Bruce looked to attack the hosts.
Made a superb early block to deny Wilson and made further key challenges as the hosts threatened. The best player in a blue shirt on the night.
Very fortunate not to give away an early penalty and was regularly left for dead by Januzaj. Never a threat in the final third.
Ahmed El Mohamady
Got the better of Buttner on at least two occasions as Hull slowly grew into the game. His crosses failed to hit their targets, though.
Anonymous for large periods as he failed to support neither Long nor Fryatt sufficiently. Dead-ball delivery was poor.
Tracked back well to try and assist Rosenior in the first half without making any tackles of note. Looked to keep the visitors moving forward in the second period.
Showed some good touches but failed to beat the first man against whom he came up on too many occasions.
Failed to prevent the opener as he hung out a lazy boot, though almost grabbed an equaliser as his shot from the edge of the box was pushed away by De Gea.
Ineffectual as the Tigers failed to get the ball forward to him during the first half. Replaced by Fryatt at the break.
Came off the bench early on and was hardly worked on his final appearance for United at Old Trafford. Caused problems from set-pieces.
Looked keen to do as much as he could in what was likely to be his final 20 minutes as a player at Old Trafford. A vintage, if brief, showing.
R. van Persie
Showed some lovely touches with his back to goal and, after missing a couple of chances, secured the three points.
