FULL-TIME! MADRID WIN 2-1! God knows how they did it but second half goals from Higuain and Callejon give Madrid the win here in Mallorca. Mourinho's men now head eight points clear of Barcelona at the top of Liga, with Barca playing Betis tomorrow evening. That's it from me, Luke Matthews this evening. Thanks for joining me, Luke Matthews tonight. Goodnight and god bless!
We're heading into injury time now and the biggest surprise of the evening? Ozil is still on the pitch! Not much happening now as Madrid wind down the clock.
Looks like Madrid have done enough to win this somehow. Far from their best but the visitors have shown the ingredients of champions tonight.
2-1 MADRID! Benzema's effort is well stopped but the ball falls to Callejon 18 yards out who does brilliantly to slam the ball past a number of defenders and into the net!
Josep Lluis Martí
Yellow CardChory Castro
Still 1-1 here with both teams beginning to look tired. I wouldn't put it past Madrid to score a winner, especially with their record of scoring late goals.
Yellow CardFabio Coentrao
We're in for a grandstand final 10 minutes here with Madrid knocking on the door, looking for that elusive winner.
MADRID GOAL DISALLOWED! Xabi Alonso's free-kick is met by the head of Ramos who finds the back of the net. However, the referee awards a free-kick as the defender was offside when the ball was played into the box.
WHAT AN EFFORT! Ronaldo tries his luck 30 metres out and his ferocious effort slams off the middle of the crossbar with the keeper helpless. Wonderful attempt from the Portuguese attacker and a reminder to Mallorca that if they're not careful, they could end up losing this one.
It's difficult to say Madrid deserve to be back level but with the talent they have on the field and the momentum they will now have, you have to fancy Mourinho's men to grab a winner.
1-1! HIGUAIN EQUALISES FOR MADRID! Benzema and Ozil link up well before the German slides a through ball to Higuain. The Argentine clips the ball over the keeper, via a slight deflection off Tissone with the ball ending up in the back of the net.
Coentrao and Kaka link up well here as the Portuguese international slides the ball to the former Milan man who tries his luck 30 metres out. His shot is powerfully struck and requires Aouate to turn the ball over the bar for a corner.
Mallorca's backline are still standing firm yet there are more than 20 minutes to go. Surely the home team are starting to feel tired now?
Ball falls to Pereira on the edge of the box. The winger;s effort is scuffed and hit into the ground yet it still forces Casillas to sprawl across his goal to turn it around the post for a corner.
Credit really does have to be given to Mallorca for one of the most impressive performance of the season so far. Well, there's still 24 minutes left to go for Madrid to get back into this one.
Madrid are really struggling to create at the moment as they patiently stroke the ball around the pitch. Time is running out for Mourinho's men who need to start having efforts on goal.
Just seen that offside decision again and the referee got it wrong there. Victor was in his own half as the ball was played to him so poor decision from the officials.
Callejon goes down in the box under Nunes' challenge yet no penalty given and rightly so as the former Espanyol man has taken a tumble there. From the breakaway Victor is played one-on-one with Casillas yet he is adjudged to be offside as he slides the ball into the net.
Cendros is in the book for bringing down Ronaldo. Not a dreadful challenge yet that is the third time the right-back has cheaply brought down the Portuguese international so a yellow card is deserved.
Yellow CardPablo Cendrós
Looks like Kaka and Coentrao are ready to come on. Can Kaka roll back the years and rescue Madrid?
Yellow CardFernando Tissone
Castro whips a corner into the Madrid penalty area. Hemed gets his head to the ball again yet he can only head in into the ground and wide of the goal.
Pereira whips a cross into the box from the right yet neither Hemed or Victor are around as Casillas plucks the ball out of the air with ease.
All Madrid in the opening five minutes of the second half yet no chances to report on. Well, unless you count Benzema's effort here as a chance - the Frenchman blasting the ball over the bar from 15 yards out.
That substitute from Madrid shows how Mourinho wants his men to play in this second period. Two up front with Ozil perhaps dropping a little deeper.
We are back underway in the second half. What should we expect from the visitors? Mourinho has made one change at the break with Higuain replacing Diarra.
Time for a few of your thoughts on Twitter. Muritala says Mallorca have played very well and deserve their lead while John Alex Eghosa is hoping Madrid do not bounce back. Imatiniv Mesylate is convinced however that Madrid will bounce back. Keep tweeting me your views @LukasMaf and remember to follow me.
HALF-TIME! Madrid are losing 1-0 to Mallorca at the break with Hemed scoring the only goal so far in the 39th minute. Deserving lead it has to be said but can the Island club carry on putting this amount of effort into the game? Let me know your thoughts on the game on Twitter @LukasMaf. Oh, and join me in 15 minutes for the second half.
RAMOS HITS THE POST! Xabi Alonso whips a free kick into the box and an unmarked Ramos slams his header off the post before Mallorca clear the danger. Big let off for the home team there.
Looking back at the goal, Arbeloa really should have done a lot better as he failed to pick up Hemed. Take nothing away from the finish though, it was a great header.
Last week when Madrid went 1-0 down, they equalised within two minutes against Granada. Not this evening though. Mourinho's men are on the ropes and waiting for the bell. Well, the referee's whistle.
Who can say Mallorca do not deserve their lead? They have simply outclassed Madrid in the opening 40 minutes with the visitors struggling to muster opportunities on goal.
1-0 MALLORCA! HEMED SCORES! Castro plays a one-two after a corner before whipping the ball into the box for the Israeli striker to put a diving header into the far corner!
Snapshot from Benzema who slams the ball towards goal from the edge of the box. It's a nice effort but Aouate stops the danger.
Hemed powers forward and keeps clear of Pepe yet he is unable to find an unmarked Castro with Ramos cutting out the danger.
Great performance from the home team so far with Victor and Tissone the standout performers for me. Can they keep up their efforts for another 55 minutes?
Not much although Ronaldo does register the away team's first effort on target tonight. It's straight at the keeper though who claims the ball with ease.
Free-kick from range for Madrid now as Ronaldo is fouled by Cendros. What can the Portuguese international do from 35 metres out?
Big scare for the visitors a few minutes ago. Madrid really are struggling to create opportunities at the moment while Mallorca look dangerous every time they go forward. Upset on the cards?
HEMED SHOULD SCORE! The home team hit Mourinho's men on the counter-attack as Castro is put clear before the Uruguayan winger slides the ball to Hemed. The Israeli forward is being hunted down by Ramos and could only slide the ball the wrong side of the post from 15 yards.
Nothing happening of note at the moment with Mallorca enjoying a decent spell of possession. Chico, the defender on loan from Genoa drifts past several Madrid players out of defence before being fouled by Diarra.
We're approaching the half way mark in the first period and the score is still 0-0. Tricky for Madrid so far as some sloppy defending from the away team nearly allows Victor in before Casillas clears the danger.
Have to say, I've been very impressed with the home side's defence so far who seem to be dealing with the immensely talented Madrid attack with ease so far. Last week when I praised Granada, it turned out to be the kiss of death...
Madrid are looking good in possession at the moment as Ronaldo and Benzema show some class whilst linking up. However, Ramis snuffs out the danger.
Very engaging game at the moment with both sides looking lively. Nothing came of that Xabi Alonso free-kick by the way. Bit of a waste from the former Liverpool man.
Ronaldo takes a tumble under the challenge of Cendros. Looks like Xabi Alonso will whip a ball into the box from the resulting set-piece. Could we see a goal here?
So the home team have come to life in the last few minutes as Victor looks for a penalty. The striker goes down under a challenge from Diarra but the referee awards nothing.
MALLORCA SHOULD DO BETTER! Pereira gets down the right flank before playing a low ball into the direction of Victor. The forward tries a fancy flick whilst under pressure yet his effort misses the target.
Not much is happening at the moment yet Madrid look to have settled the better of the two teams. Mallorca have been unable to get a foot on the ball so far.
The visitors have made a bright start here in their traditional all white kit yet have been unable to create a goalscoring opportunity in the opening few minutes as Benzema is unable to control Ozil's ball.
We're underway here in the Balearic Islands and Madrid are immediately on the attack.
Both sides are now out on the pitch here. Good atmosphere in the stadium as we approach kick-off. Keep sending your predictions in!
So Benzema comes back into the starting line-up this evening after shrugging off a knock. No real surprise there then yet some may not have expected Callejon to start the game. Is this a winning Madrid starting 11? I’m guess we will find out soon.
Real Madrid (4-2-3-1): Casillas; Arbeloa, Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo; Diarra, Xabi Alonso; Callejon, Ozil, Ronaldo; Benzema
Mallorca (4-4-2): Aouate; Cendros, Ramis, Chico, Caceres; Pereira, Joao, Tissone, Castro; Hemed, Victor
Here come the teams…
Remember guys, you can let us know your predictions and opinions on the game on Twitter so tweet me @LukasMaf. Oh, and keep it clean peeps!
Hello and welcome to Goal.com's coverage of the Saturday evening Liga fixture between Mallorca and Real Madrid from the Iberostar Stadium. Victory for the visitors would see Jose Mourinho's men extend their lead at the top of the league to eight points with Barcelona not playing until tomorrow.
