Spilled a couple of stinging efforts and did not look comfortable at all. Not to blame for the goals but perhaps could have done better.
Got forward as well as ever but should have done much better in dealing with Vertonghen for the Belgian's first goal.
Made some crucial interceptions during periods of Tottenham domination which saved his side's bacon. Passed the ball calmly from the back.
Dealt with nearly everything thrown at him in a defensive sense and provided a wonderful assist for Suarez to open the scoring.
Kept Defoe largely quiet but will be unhappy with the nature of Tottenham's equaliser - which came from the type of aerial ball he generally clears with ease.
Had to fight against a numerical disadvantage in the first half but improved with help in the second. His long passing range was unrivalled and the captain was committed as ever in the challenge. Dispatched his penalty coolly.
His trickery and eye for a through ball caused Tottenham plenty of problems. Unfortunate to be sacrificed as Liverpool looked to gain control in midfield.
Worked hard and provided a sensible, safe passing option for his team-mates in attacking areas. May not be an attacking star but is vital to Liverpool's shape at times and did well to nip in before Lloris to plunder an equaliser.
Overrun by a dominant Tottenham midfield. Made some crunching, important tackles but passed the ball poorly on occasions. A mixed day for the Brazilian.
Could not get into the game in the first half but his influence predictably grew following the introduction of Joe Allen.
Took the opening goal with typical ruthlessness and ran himself into the ground for the cause. Struggled to get on the ball at times, but was as brilliant with it as ever.
Beaten by an excellent finish for Suarez's opener but gifted Liverpool an equaliser with a crazy venture out of his box.
His poor backpass tempted Lloris out of goal and allowed Liverpool to equalise. Fortunate to get away with a tug on Coutinho in the box in the first half.
Had no moments of questionable defending despite his side conceding three goals. Kept Suarez's dribbling down to a minimum, which is more than most Premier League defenders have done this year.
A centre-back's job does not generally involve scoring goals but the Belgian grabbed two in brilliant fashion whilst keeping up his duties at the back in some style. A fantastic performance.
Defended stoutly and used possession intelligently going forward. Blotted his copybook somewhat with the foul on Suarez which gave away the penalty but wasn't helped by Defoe's poor pass.
The Liverpool midfield could not touch him in the first half. Faded somewhat in the second but still showed some beautiful touches and pieces of dribbing skill.
Drifted in and out of the game and missed two gilt-edged chances. The first saw him drag wide in front of the Kop whilst the second was a back-post effort which was, in truth, well blocked.
Helped Tottenham control the game for the opening periods but had little impact when Liverpool added numbers in that position in the second half.
Helped the visitors control the game in terms of possession for long periods. Crunched into tackles with authority and passed well.
His constant shooting in positions which promised more rightly attracted the ire of his team-mates. Will struggle to explain the backpass which brought Suarez's penalty.
Made numerous darting runs which had the Liverpool defence visibly panicked. Provided a swinging cross for Vertonghen's first before causing havoc with a well-delivered free kick which allowed the defender to score his second.
