FULL-TIME Liverpool 5-1 Norwich City. As comprehensive as you like from the hosts, who bounced back in style from their weekend defeat to haul themselves back into contention at the top of the table thanks to a Luis Suarez-inspired display. The talismanic forward netted four of the five goals, with three absolute stunners and even laid on a late goal for Raheem Sterling, rendering Bradley Johnson's header an irrelevance.

90' + 1'
Luis Suarez receives a standing ovation as he is replaced by Iago Aspas. What a night for Liverpool's star man and history maker.
Bradley Johnson works his way into a promising shooting position but Simon Mignolet saves well. What a response to the weekend humbling at Hull this has been from Brendan Rodgers' Liverpool side.
Assist Luis Suárez
Goal Raheem Sterling
GOAL! And that crowns off what has been a thoroughly impressive performance from Liverpool as Raheem Sterling gets in on the act, tapping home after unselfish play by Luis Suarez. Who else?
Steven Gerrard is desperately unlucky as his jabbed effort from Philippe Coutinho's exquisite pass comes back off the base of the upright.
Luis Alberto tests his luck from outside the area but is denied by John Ruddy who, to his credit, has kept going despite the bombardment of efforts on his goal.
Assist Nathan Redmond
Goal Bradley Johnson
GOAL! Nathan Redmond returns the favour and this time it pays dividends as Bradley Johnson climbs above Daniel Agger to nod past Simon Mignolet. That goal has been just rewards for a good performance going forwards from the Canaries, if nothing else.
Bradley Johnson rolls the ball through for Nathan Redmond but the winger snatches at his finish and Simon Mignolet is happy for the ball to drift wide of his goal.
Luis Suarez is everywhere, buzzing around a fatigued Norwich backline and this time he lays the ball on for Steven Gerrard to hit a trademark long-range strike but he gets too much purchase on the ball and it zips just wide of a statuesque John Ruddy's post.
Glen Johnson is quick to pull the ball back for man of the moment Luis Suarez but this time the Uruguayan's contact with the ball is poor and he scuffs the ball towards goal but John Ruddy collected easily.
Goal Luis Suárez
GOAL! Luis Suarez does it again! This time, he benefits from a foul on Steven Gerrard by Russell Martin to lift the ball up and then down into the top corner beyond a hapless John Ruddy as Norwich's tormentor-in-chief comes back to haunt the Canaries yet again. Superb.
Steven Whittaker takes to the field with Leroy Fer coming off as fellow substitute Luis Alberto tries to slot the ball through for Luis Suarez but is foiled by the Norwich defence.
The visitors make a change as Gary Hooper replaces the ineffectual Johan Elmander while Luis Alberto comes on in place of Jordan Henderson for Liverpool.
Yellow Card Jon Flanagan
Philippe Coutinho is menacing down the right on this occasion and his sumptuous pull back is met by Steven Gerrard, who hits low and hard but it is straight at John Ruddy. Norwich counter with an effort of their own as Josh Murphy tries to display his credentials, striking from similar range but finding Mignolet in the way.
You have to credit Nathan Redmond, he just refuses to give up. This time his cross is too deep for an forlorn-looking Johan Elmander while Glen Johnson is similarly annoyed with his end product at the other end as Ryan Bennett hacks away.
Luis Suarez is at it again but this time finds John Ruddy slightly more difficult to beat as his shot from a tight angle is parried away and eventually cleared by Norwich.
Nathan Redmond finds himself at the heart of Norwich's attacking move once again but after his cross is cut out, his effort from range fizzes just wide. Moments later, young winger Josh Murphy comes on for Wes Hoolahan.
Luis Suarez wants a penalty as he goes down under pressure from Russell Martin but referee Anthony Taylor waves away the striker's protests.
Liverpool win a corner after Raheem Sterling's effort is diverted out of play and the ball is rolled back from the quadrant to Joe Allen, who bends an effort towards the top corner from outside the 18-yard box but John Ruddy stuns Anfield with a sublime save to tip it out for another corner. The next delivery is collected with ease by the Canaries stopper.
Johan Elmander goes down clutching his head after coming out worse in an aerial battle with Martin Skrtel but after lengthy treatment, the loan striker is ready to continue.
John Flanagan latches onto Steven Gerrard's wonderful pass and moves forward with the ball but pulls his shot well wide of the target.
Steven Gerrard slips in Raheem Sterling on the right hand side of the penalty area and the youngster's clipped ball back to his captain is headed down into the ground by Gerrard, but John Ruddy is there to smother.
Liverpool respond through Philippe Coutinho who tries to take on Ryan Bennett after another silky run before firing a low strike wide of goal from a set piece, after Jordan Henderson was felled by Leroy Fer.
Bradley Johnson wins a free kick after a tussle with Glen Johnson and Nathan Redmond, who has delivered some terrific balls into the box today, floats a ball towards Sebastien Bassong, but the defender can only head over the bar.
Steven Gerrard looks to feed Luis Suarez down the middle but the Uruguayan is offside.
Norwich get us back underway here for the second half at Anfield, can they launch a stirring fightback?
HALF-TIME: Liverpool 3-0 Norwich City. The Reds are on course to bounce back from their defeat to Hull City at the weekend and perhaps also secure a third successive five-goal romp over the Canaries .Luis Suarez's hat-trick was vital and perfect in equal measure, featuring a blockbuster, a tap in and an individual strike as the Uruguayan made history for the club by becoming the first player to score three hat tricks against the same club for Liverpool.
45' + 2'
Philippe Coutinho whips in a centre out on the right but Sebastien Bassong is there to save the day once more for Norwich.
45' + 1'
Martin Olsson clears downfield and Wes Hoolahan is on hand to tee up Johan Elmander, who has been anonymous so far, but the Swede's effort sums up his first-half offerings - woeful, as the ball flies way off target.
Raheem Sterling wins a corner off Martin Olsson down the right flank but Sebastien Bassong is equal to the delivery from the corner and clears.
Yellow Card Steven Gerrard
Steven Gerrard is into the book as he scythes down Nathan Redmond and from Norwich's subsequent attack, Daniel Agger does well to stand up Jonny Howson, who had strode forward well towards the area.
Nathan Redmond has been a rare bright spark for the Canaries this afternoon and he supplies the goods from out wide again but this time Simon Mignolet can gather rather easily.
Raheem Sterling sets off down the left before whipping in a ball towards Luis Suarez but Ryan Bennett averts the danger but it is only brief respite as Steven Gerrard tests John Ruddy from 20 yards out.
Norwich briefly threaten as Nathan Redmond floats a ball into the area but John Flanagan can clear with ease. Liverpool are romping to victory here.
Assist Raheem Sterling
Goal Luis Suárez
GOAL! Remarkable, absolutely remarkable. Luis Suarez completes his hat-trick with a goal of the highest order and creates Liverpool history in the making. After flicking the ball over a bewildered Leroy Fer, Suarez advances into the area and drills past Ruddy to become the first-ever Liverpool player to score a hat-trick three times against the same opposition. Wow.
Yellow Card Joe Allen
Joe Allen is cautioned for hauling back Bradley Johnson but Nathan Redmond's free kick is straight at a grateful Simon Mignolet.
Luis Suarez is at the heart of everything and almost sets up two presentable chances for his side first with a cross to Raheem Sterling, who is flagged offside, before finding Steven Gerrard in the box only for Leroy Fer to recover and clear.
Bradley Johnson goes for goal from just outside the area but it flashes wide of Simon Mignolet's left post. The Canaries continue to threaten here.
Goal Luis Suárez
GOAL! Luis Suarez is at the double and while this is far less glamorous than his first, it is still vitally important in building on his side's lead as he turns Philippe Coutinho's corner home from close range. The Brazilian's delivery is excellent but Suarez does brilliantly to flick into the back of the net with the ball bouncing. What a player.
Norwich City are tracking back to good effect however, and both Russell Martin and Wes Hoolahan have to be on red alert to deal with John Flanagan and Philippe Coutinho's forward surges into the box.
Norwich go so close to a leveller and it's Wes Hoolahan for a fourth time now who has the chance but this time, he really should have put his side ahead. Bradley Johnson's centre is deliciously placed but Hoolahan goes for goal with his left foot when his right would have been better suited and volleys harmlessly over the bar. A huge let off for Liverpool.
Philippe Coutinho goes close to finding a route to a second Liverpool goal on two occasions in the space of a few minutes. First, the diminutive playmaker whips a cross across the face of goal but no-one is there from a Liverpool perspective before playing a one-two with Raheem Sterling before unleashing an effort from range but Russell Martin was on hand to mop up for Norwich.
Yellow Card Bradley Johnson
Bradley Johnson cynically hauls down Luis Suarez to gift Liverpool a free kick around 35 yards out. Suarez declines the opportunity to shoot on this occasion but the Reds try to pass the ball through to him, only for John Ruddy to collect.
Norwich's riposte is to march to the other end and find another avenue towards goal but Wes Hoolahan is frustrated by those in front of him yet again as Steven Gerrard is on hand to get a block in.
John Flanagan makes inroads up the left hand side of the pitch but Norwich eventually clear as Liverpool look to press home their advantage, handed to them by a Luis Suarez masterclass.
Goal Luis Suárez
GOAL! Oh my word, this man is capable of just about anything. Proof is in the pudding with this goal as Luis Suarez scores one of the goals of the season so far. John Ruddy's clearance isn't particularly great and when Martin Skrtel nods the ball back into the Norwich half, Suarez picks the ball up 25 yards out and volleys into the top corner past a stunned Ruddy. Breathtaking.
Luis Suarez is denied by some brilliant defending from Russell Martin as he looked to bend the ball towards goal before Glen Johnson finds Jordan Henderson, whose hooked effort across goal is poor and lacking in conviction.
Liverpool are slowly beginning to build some momentum here and come close again as Glen Johnson and Jordan Henderson both go close in quick succession. Johnson has an effort blocked before Henderson fires high and wide when well placed.
Steven Gerrard is the latest to get a shot off on goal but finds Jonny Howson in between him and goal after Philippe Coutinho and Glen Johnson had combined to tee up the skipper.
It's poor play from Liverpool again but Norwich fail to benefit. Joe Allen is sloppy in possession and the ball breaks for Wes Hoolahan once again, who charges forward with intent. The Irishman gets a shot off on goal but Simon Mignolet is equal to it, getting down well to his left to hold onto the ball.
Now Norwich are almost in again in a yo-yo like start to the match. Nathan Redmond, again, is the instigator with a determined run down the left before crossing for Wes Hoolahan. Unfortunately the Irishman could not adjust in time and scuffed his effort with Raheem Sterling in attendance to help clear the ball upfield.
Philippe Coutinho goes on an incredible mazy run, committing three challenges and shapes to shoot but Sebastien Bassong makes a terrific block to thwart the Brazilian.
All that after Nathan Redmond had launched a cross into the area which Martin Skrtel did well to clear under pressure. Luis Suarez then tries to release the ball down the left wing to Philippe Coutinho but Russell Martin shepherds the ball out.
Bright start from Norwich City, who engineer the first shooting chance of the evening as Johnny Howson takes aim from range but his right-footed effort ultimately sails over the bar.
And we're underway here at Anfield as Liverpool kick us off after the teams swap ends.
Luis Suarez, though, has scored seven in his last three matches against this opposition, netting two hat-tricks in the process and, as a collective, Liverpool plundered five goals past Norwich in both of last season's meetings.
The Reds badly struggled in Daniel Sturridge's absence at Hull and looked bereft of ideas up front, with even Luis Suarez struggling to exert his matchwinning influence but Liverpool's home form - defeat to Southampton aside - cannot be faulted, with five wins out of six at Anfield.
Liverpool's surprise 3-1 loss at Hull was the second time in successive matches that Liverpool have conceded three goals and, having registered three clean sheets from their first trio of fixtures, Brendan Rodgers' side have kept just one in their last 10.
It may come as something of a surprise to Norwich City fans and the Liverpool faithful alike that Gary Hooper is dropped instead of Johan Elmander after the former's matchwinning contribution against Crystal Palace at the weekend, which sealed a second win in three league games.
And here's the Norwich City starting XI. Ruddy; Martin, R Bennett, Bassong, Olsson; Redmond, Howson, Fer, Johnson, Hoolahan; Elmander.Substitutes: Nash, Whittaker, Turner, Hooper, Garrido, Becchio, Murphy.
Here are the line ups in full, starting with Liverpool. Mignolet; Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Flanagan; Gerrard, Allen; Sterling, Henderson, Coutinho; Suarez. Substitutes: Jones, Toure, Luis Alberto, Aspas, Moses, Sakho, Lucas.
Chris Hughton, meanwhile, makes just the solitary change as Bradley Johnson comes in for Gary Hooper meaning a slight reshuffle for his Norwich City charges. Hooper's relegation to the bench should mean the Canaries will line up in a 4-5-1 formation as Hughton tries to thwart the Liverpool midfield with added numbers.
The team news is in and Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers makes three changes to the side that lost 3-1 to Hull City on Sunday, with Daniel Agger, Joe Allen and Philippe Coutinho stepping in for Kolo Toure, Lucas Leiva and Victor Moses, who all disappointed in defeat to the Tigers.
Good evening and welcome to this LIVE commentary of Liverpool v Norwich at Anfield.
