Home side strikes in both halves of the match putting the Red and Gold in a difficult spot at the bottom of the table in Group B of the AFC Cup...

Kazma SC trounced East Bengal 3-0 in a Group B match of the AFC Cup played at the Al-Sadaqua Walsalam Stadium, Madīnat al-Kuwayt, Kuwait.

Yousef Alsulaiman broke the deadlock in the 38th minute and was soon accompanied by Nasir Alwohaib (44') on the scoresheet before Abdoh Jammeh completed the tally of three goals in the 58th minute.

The Kolkata outfit were without several of their first team players like Mehtab Hussain, Reisangmi Vashum and Naoba Singh who were ruled out due to injuries, while Aussie striker Tolgay Ozbey was replaced in the 72nd minute after being unable to find a goal.

Kuwait's Kazma have hence climbed to the top of the group table as they pip Yemenese side Al Arouba, who drew with Arbil of Iraq in their second round match, on goal difference.

East Bengal will next play hosts to the third placed Arbil on 4 April at the Yuba Bharati Krirangan (Salt Lake) stadium in Kolkata.
