PROSHOTS

The two title contenders both had to settle for a point away from home, with PSV coming from two goals down to secure a home victory elsewhere

HERACLES
3 3 AJAX
Ajax drew their second consecutive league match away to Heracles on Saturday, conceding two late goals to lose further footing in the tile race.

An own goal from Ben Rienstra and a Lasse Schone stike handed the reigning champions a comfortable advantage heading into half-time. Mike te Wierik's strike for the hosts in the 61st minute appeared to be futile when Tobias Sana restored Ajax's two-goal advantage just a minute later, but a late capitulation from the visitors saw the hosts salvage a point.

Thomas Bruns cut Ajax's lead to one goal in the 80th minute, and substitute Luis Pedro struck ten minutes later to hand his side a surprise result.
NAC
0 3 VITESSE
NAC failed to bounce back from their recent drubbing away to PSV, as a 3-0 home defeat to Vitesse sees the hosts continue to linger in the relegation zone.

The first real chance of note arrived in the 32nd minute and saw Jonathan Reis open the scoring for the ambitious visitors, rifling home from close range to hand his side the lead heading into half-time.

The hosts were pegged further back early in the second half, when Wilfried Bony pounced on a rebound to double his side's lead. The Ivorian wrapped up the victory in the 68th minute, when he capped a virtuoso run through the heart of the NAC defence with a composed finish.
RODA
1 1 TWENTE
League leaders Twente were held to a draw by a solid Roda side on Saturday, with two late goals seeing the spoils shared.

A dull first half saw neither side forge any opportunities of note, with an offensive Twente side failing to find a way through the hosts.

It took until the 68th minute for the scoring to be opened, when Luc Castaignos converted a rebound to put the visitors ahead. Roda's response was immediate however, with Guus Hupperts salvaging a point for his side following neat build-up play.
PSV
3 2 WILLEM II
PSV survived a first-half scare to claim all three points at home to Willem II this weekend.

Jens Podevijn and Niek Vossebelt handed the lowly visitors a two-goal lead within the opening half hour, an advantage their side took into the interval.

It took until the 67th minute for the hosts to muster a response, when Kevin Strootman pulled one back for his side. The Netherlands international leveled matters shortly after with a low strike from outside the area.

A tense ending to the match saw PSV claim a late victory, with Tim Matavz's 82nd minute winner handing his side a precious win.
AZ
0 2 NEC
AZ's impressive unbeaten home run was brought to an end by NEC on Saturday, with the visitors inflicting a 2-0 defeat on the struggling hosts.

The hosts were without the suspended Adam Maher and Jozy Altidore, and the visitors capitalised on the absence of the pair and several others with two early goals.

Ryan Koolwijk opened the scoring from a free kick just 15 minutes in, beating both the wall and goalkeeper Esteban with a well-struck effort. The Dutchman doubled his side's lead two minutes later, stepping up to the spot after Nick Viergever had conceded an unnecessary penalty.

The hosts were unable to claw back the deficit and were made to settle for a loss which leaves them in 13th place.
ADO
1 2 FC UTRECHT
Utrecht recorded an impressive victory away to ADO Den Haag this weekend, a result which sees them rise to 6th in the league standings.

The hosts were handed a spot kick early on, which midfielder Holla coolly converted. The visitors remained calm Alexander Gerndt drew his side level just 6 minutes later however, slotting a calm finish past Robert Zwinkels.

Jacob Mulenga grabbed the decisive goal five minutes before halftime, converting a routine delivery to hand his side the lead. A second half resurgence from the hosts did not result in a goal, and the Domstedelingen hung on to record a valuable victory.
VVV
2 3 FEYENOORD
Feyenoord ended their winless run at the De Koel Stadion on Sunday, coming from two goals down to record a valuable win.

Oguzhan Turk and Guus Jopen appeared to send the hosts on their way to victory with 19th and 21st minute strikes, respectively, but the visitors had other ideas.

A first-half injury-time penalty from Feyenoord's Lex Immers cut his side's deficit in half, and the Rotterdam side continued their resurgence in the second half.

Wesley Verhoek levelled matters just two minutes after play resumed, and turned provider in the 64th minute. The Dutchman teed up Graziano Pelle with a fine delivery, who duly delivered and sealed a win which sees the visitors draw level on points with rivals Ajax.
HEERENVEEN
3 0 GRONINGEN
Heerenveen emerged victorious from the latest edition of the Dutch Northern Derby, with the hosts running out 3-0 winners over the struggling visitors.

A timid first half saw neither side threaten the opposition goal, but a lively second period saw Heerenveen put three goals past the hapless visitors. Rajiv van la Parra opened the scoring with a cool finish in the 61st minute, and Alfred Finnbogason doubled his side's lead from the spot four minutes later. Van la Parra wrapped up the win with under ten minutes to play, latching on to an impressive delivery from Filip Djuricic.
RKC
1 2 ZWOLLE
Recently promoted Zwolle recorded an impressive win away to RKC on Sunday.

Fred Benson handed the visitors an early lead with his 5th-minute finish. Neither side came close to finding the next goal in the first half, and the hosts were punished for their inefficiency shortly after play resumed. Ronnie Reniers doubled his side's lead with a simple tap-in on the hour mark, sending the hosts in frantic search of a way back into the tie.

Teddy Chevalier handed RKC a lifeline late on, but with just four minutes to play the hosts were unable to salvage anything from the tie.
