• Imtech Arena, Hamburg
Referee: F. Zwayer
• Attendance: 57000
M. Mandžukić 21', 74', 76'
A. Robben 54'
So Bayern continue their assault on silverware as they march into the DFB-Pokal semi-finals in commanding style. A hat-trick from Mario Mandzukic and strikes apiece for Dante and Arjen Robben have sealed an emphatic win for the visitors, and heaped further misery on Hamburg. Thanks for joining me!
The referee is kind and awards no injury time - that's that!
Yellow CardTomás Eduardo Rincón
Zoua drives for goal and unleashes a strike but it's high, wide and handsome. Game's up for Hamburg.
Bayern happy to keep possession around the central third here. The clock can't wind down quickly enough for Hamburg.
Dante is down after catching Zoua's studs when clearing the ball. Bayern get us back underway.
Almost a chance for a sixth as Rafinha wins it back high up the pitch but Tah heads his cross clear.
Well Hamburg were set up to stop this becoming a rout, but they've not managed it - two defensive lapses in as many minutes have given Bayern a handsome lead, and a morale-boosting hat-trick for a certain Croatian striker.
GOOOAAAAALLLL! And it's five, and a hat-trick for Manduzkic! Hamburg failed to clear Alaba's free kick and the Croat turns and fires past Adler.
GOOOAAAAALLL! And it's four! Robben picks out Gotze who dances into space and picks out Mandzukic at the far post for the simplest of finishes.
Looks like a painful one for Badelj, who seemed to jar his leg there as he tried to block Schweinsteiger's pass. He's receiving treatment.
Shaqiri tries to get in on the act this time but he can't keep his volley on target from Mandzukic's chested layoff.
Half a chance for Mandzukic at the far post but his header is claimed by Adler.
Double change for Bayern - Lahm and Thiago head out, and Bastian Schweinsteiger gets a run-out along with Xherdan Shaqiri.
More pressure from the hosts but a lovely turn from Dante and a touch from Lahm suddenly sees Bayern back in control.
Almost a costly slip from Dante but the ball evades John and Rafinha picks it up. Bayern just taking their foot off the gas here.
Better from Hamburg! Arslan finds John in space, who holds up the ball and tees up Illicevic, but his shot is saved by Neuer at the near post.
Thiago concedes a free kick this time and Hamburg can try to mount an attack.
Hamburg can't be faulted for their efforts so far but they have shown next to no offensive threat. They won't want this to turn into a thrashing or their morale could drop even further.
Yellow CardTolgay Ali Arslan
A rather cynical check from Arslan sees him in the referee's notebook, and leaves Thiago a little miffed on the ground.
GOOAAAALLLL! Bayern have their third! Route one this time - Kroos with a perfect ball over the top, controlled and fired home crisply by Robben. 3-0, and game over.
Guardiola still looks far from impressed on the touchline, but his side are in total control.
Lahm seems to have slotted into the back four to allow Martinez is accustomed role at the heart of midfield. System remains the same, though.
Robben and Gotze almost carve Hamburg open with some fine flicks but the final pass is just too heavy from the Dutchman. Change for Bayern, meanwhile - Javi Martinez is on for Boateng.
Almost a chance for Hamburg! Calhanoglu tried to slip the ball through to John but it took a nick off Dante and Neuer came out to smother it.
We're back underway!
Everything pointed to a comfortable Bayern win before the game, and so far, that's exactly what we're being treated to. Hamburg battled well early on but Gotze carved them apart down the left to set up Mandzukic, before Dante's header put the holders in cruise control. Can HSV respond in the second half? Stick around to find out!
Delightful flick from Robben to Mandzukic but he can't quite escape the attentions of Rincon. No injury time to be played, so that's that for the first 45.
And that could've been the third! Bayern steal it back, Boateng crosses for Gotze, and his layoff his side-footed by Robben straight into Adler's gloves. Good chance.
Yellow CardZhi Gin Lam
Kroos swings in a free kick but it's headed away and cleared by Rincon. Just three minutes until the break - HSV cannot concede a third now, or this one is over.
Rafael van der Vaart
Tolgay Ali Arslan
More bad news for HSV - Van der Vaart has been replaced early with Arslan. Hard to see if he had a particular problem but he was greeted warmly by the Hamburg bench.
Robben's delivery is deep and Adler watches it bounce behind.
Mandzukic draws a foul and Bayern have a free kick, 35 yards from goal.
Rincon draws a cheer for a commited - but fair - challenge on Robben. The home fans have been in good voice so far, but they've had little to shout about once more here.
Almost a chance for Lahm! A neat exchange with Mandzukic sets him up with a shot inside the area but Tah does just enough to halt his run.
A rare chance for Robben to run at the defence but Westermann slides in to block his effort.
Penalty shout for Bayern! Thiago flicks the ball on to Alaba, who goes down under pressure from Lam, but the referee opts against awarding a foul. Correct decision.
Bayern have concentrated their efforts down the left so far this evening, but John has done his best to stand up to Gotze and Alaba for the most part.
Careless from Kroos to concede possession. Hamburg attack and John's cross is headed away by Boateng, and Jansen tries a volley, which ends up somewhere near the corner flag.
Alaba can't quite keep the ball in down the left and Hamburg will get some reprieve with a free kick in their own half.
A long ball for Gotze sails behind for a goal kick and Guardiola looks aghast on the bench. Cheer up, Pep - it ain't going too badly!
An immediate riposte from Hamburg as John picks the ball up near the byline, cuts inside and drills at the near post, but it's a comfortable stop for Neuer.
GOOOAAAAALLL!! Bayern double their lead! A dreadful pass from Badelj gives it away and Gotze sets up Alaba in the area but his shot is blocked behind. Kroos' corner is powered goalwards and neither Adler nor Calhanoglu can keep it out.
Kroos and Thiago are just beginning to exert some dominance in the middle - the game was rather passing them by early on. Bayern have a free kick wide on the left here.
GOOOAAAAALLLLL! Well, it had to happen after I just said that - Bayern take the lead! Brilliant run from Gotze to get past Lam and he picked out Manduzkic at the far post, who had the easiest of tap-ins.
Approaching the 20 minute mark and it's all been rather drab so far. Bayern bossing possession but no chances of note to speak of as yet.
Hamburg win a free kick in dangerous territory but Neuer claims the delivery well. Bayern look to break with Thiago but it peters out and the ball is back with Boateng.
Illicevic just catches Rafinha but escapes a booking. Bayern attack again down the left but Jansen clears away.
Illicevic can't keep the ball in from Alaba's cross and Bayern have another corner.
A teasing cross from Lahm just evades Mandzukic, but here come Bayern again...
Offside given against Kroos and Hamburg look to build from the back again, but the long kick is picked up by Dante and Bayern resume monopoly of the ball.
Hamburg with a throw in Bayern's half, now. Better.
Badelj almost releases Calhanoglu but Boateng lets it run across his body to safety. Couple of half-chances on the break for the home side - some slightly encouraging signs.
Gotze again caught in possession, this time by John. Dante blocks Van der Vaart's pass and Bayern get it back again, though.
Badelj robs Gotze and Westermann tries to launch a long ball over the top but Rafinha deals with it well.
First half-chance as Robben's corner is deflected through the crowd and out for another. HSV clear at the second attempt.
Bayern are encroaching ever further into HSV territory. Still no clear chances as yet, though.
Teasing cross from Alaba but it just doesn't fall for Gotze. Bayern back in possession on halfway.
Patient start from Bayern. Hamburg are sitting in their own half but are quick to press the second the ball crosses halfway.
Fabulous interplay between Mandzukic and Gotze but the latter's cross is cleared just before it reaches Robben.
Hamburg pressing early on but the ball's back with Neuer.
And we're off! Bayern, in dark grey away kit, get us underway...
Lahm and Van der Vaart are doing the captain's duties (toin coss, that is) inside the centre circle - kick-off seconds away!
The atmosphere inside the Imtech Arena is certainly not indicative of a side struggling - another brilliant and boisterous crowd is packed in here.
Things couldn't be much worse for HSV heading into this one, and even the 'bogey-team' status they once held over Bayern has evaporated in recent meetings - they've scored 28 against tonight's hosts since they were last beaten by them. Still, anything could happen in a cup tie...
BAYERN MUNICH: Neuer; Rafinha; Dante, Boateng, Alaba; Lahm; Thiago, Kroos, Gotze, Robben; Mandzukic. Key news from tonight is, of course, that Toni Kroos earns a starting spot, despite the recent reports of unrest as he haggles over a new contract.
HAMBURG: Adler; Lam, Tah, Westermann, Jansen; Badelj, Rincon; John, van der Vaart, Ilicevic; Calhanoglu.
Team news is on the way, starting with hour hosts...
