Had absolutely no chance for Soldado's unstoppable strike after five minutes. Comfortably kept Valencia at bay after that with a few decent saves including a rasper of a shot from Jonas and a close-range strike from Soldado.
Was matched up against Soldado in the match and it was an intriguing battle. Made sure the Valencia man knew he was there with some very few strong but fair challenges but still had some trouble when dealing with the movement of the pacey opposition attackers.
Got up and down the left wing excellently and showed some decent attacking instincts in the Valencia half. Set up Gavilan with a nice pass down the flank for his team to assist Pedro Rios' goal. Was solid in defence and intensely pressed the Valencia attackers.
Was guilty of dropping off Soldado at times and allowed the Valencia players too much time and space to operate in the final third. However, improved his game as the match went on and did not give out a lot of change in the back line.
Did not have the most difficult of matches playing up against an out-of-form Feghouli and Piatti, and comfortably got through the match without much incident. Left Piatti to resorting to come inside to try and affect the match.
Provided a decent barrier in front of the Getafe defence and did not allow Jonas to come deep to receive the ball and attempt to pick out passes. Intercepted potential through balls time and time again and was solid in his challenges.
Buzzed about the midfield and was always a thorn in the side of the Valencia midfield. Came close to grabbing another goal for his side when he lashed a shot at goal from the edge of the box that went just over Guaita's crossbar.
Dropped off into deeper positions and linked up well with Miku in attack. Had a couple of shots that went astray from the edge of the box but his dribbling ability caused Valencia problems through the middle.
A fantastic performance from the speedy winger this evening, in which he secured no less than three assists. Whipped in a superb cross for the Rios' header, hung in a dangerous cross to the back post for Bruno's own goal, and saw his attempted shot turned into the net by Miku.
Showed superb determination to make a late run into the box and power an excellent header past Guaita for the early Getafe equaliser. Was dangerous when dribbling down the right-hand side and put a couple of cracking crosses into the box.
Led the line very well for Getafe throughout the match and was always causing trouble in and around the penalty area. Showed brilliant striking instinct to grab the third goal for Getafe, which ultimately killed Valencia off in the first half.
Did not cover himself in glory at all for Getafe's third goal, in which he failed to tip Bruno's miskicked clearance over the bar. Was not given a lot of protection by his defence but did manage to pull off a couple of decent saves from long-range shots.
Struggled badly as Getafe came forward in droves and flooded the Valencia box in the first half. His usual excellent communication with Victor Ruiz was completely absent in this match. He did not know who he was marking or his positioning at any point in the match.
A night to forget for the Valencia right-back. A collection of bad errors allowed Getafe to take a commanding lead into the second half. Completely lost the run of Gavilan down the left which led to the equalising goal for the home side. Gifted the hosts the lead with a horribly misjudged touch that looped over Guaita and into the net.
Not his best performance. There was never any doubt about his attacking prowess going forward but there are still some question marks in defensive areas. Was guilty of dropping far too narrow in the defence.
He and his central defensive partner played the match as if they had never played with each other before. Got in each other's way and played into the hands of the counterattacking Getafe frontline. Should have been much more strong in the tackle and allowed opposition attackers too much space.
Attempted to dictate play from deeper positions and did this quite well, particularly in the second half. However, he was needed in more advanced positions and when he did venture forward his final pass was not good enough. Struggled to effectively establish a link between attack and defence.
Had a match that was very much hot and cold. Got into decent positions throughout the match in the final third and picked out Soldado with a couple of decent whipped crosses. However, when coming into deeper positions lost the ball on more than one occasion and a poor touch let him down when he had the opportunity to score through on goal.
Gave the ball away with a horribly sliced pass in the first half which allowed Getafe to break forward and grab their first goal. Recovered from this slightly and started to get stuck in in midfield but did not offer much going forward.
The winger was silent for the majority of the match. Had a few moments of possession down the right and left wing, but was unable to take advantage of this and more often than not stuck the ball back inside. Substituted on the hour mark.
Got the match off to a flyer with a fantastic finish into the top corner after five minutes but should have got at least another two goals in the match. His best chance to double his tally came in the second half when he glanced a header wide from close range after a Feghouli cross from the left.
Set up Valencia's opening goal with a twisting dribble through the middle and a nice pass through to Soldado. Did manage to get into useful positions in the box in the second half but his final pass was not as good as previous assist. Linked up well with Soldado throughout the match.
- 1 Diego Alves
- 20 Ricardo Costa
Slotted in at right-back for the calamitous Bruno in the second period.
Was introduced on the left wing but did not fair much better than Piatti in terms of effecting the play.
- 24 A. Costa
- 6 Albelda
Came on as Valencia chased the match but failed to affect the game.
