Could do nothing about Bardsley's goal, but wasn't too troubled otherwise. Launched a couple of kicks into the far flung areas of the pitch late on when he could have kept hold of the ball a bit longer.
Defended solidly, but was a little pedestrian when on the ball, taking too long and seeing himself shut down on some occasions, and swung a late clearance behind that didn't inspire confidence.
Made good runs down the left especially when Ji Dong-Won was his marker. Was made to look silly a couple of times by Sessegnon, but not much he could have done about that.
Kept James McClean very quiet in the first 45 minutes, and got forward pretty well to help out in attack, forcing a save from Mignolet early on in the second half.
Defended well and kept it simple. A strong performance from the centre-back, going unnoticed for long stretches.
Often an overlooked member of the team, but they play a hell of a lot better when he is pulling the strings. Often looked for the expansive pass to Riise on the left, and found him too. Was a little less effective in the second half, but still used the ball well.
Earned the free-kick for Dempsey to open the scoring. Like a few of his team-mates, took too long on the ball and lost out to the opposition too many times.
Looked lively in the opening stages and struck up a good battle with Phil Bardsley at left-back. Had an effort from a tight angle saved within 10 minutes. A generally strong game from the Irishman, combining well with Kelly on the right.
Not his best display, but was a little starved of service, particularly in the second half. Had one volley very well blocked in the first half, and challenged well for the high balls.
Got the opener with a fantastic free-kick around the wall, his 17th of the Premier League season. Had another effort cleared off the line in the second half.
Made a decent block in the opening 10 minutes from Duff. Got a hand to Dempsey's free-kick, but couldn't prevent it from going in, and stood no chance with the second. Made two great saves to deny Dembele in the second half.
Stood off Dembele for far too long, allowing him a chance to shoot. Defended fairly well afterwards, but was sacrificed as O'Neill went on the attack.
Made one fabulous block to get in the way of a Pogrebnyak volley. Was unfortunate to see another send Dembele's shot spinning into the top corner.
Was fairly untroubled for long stretches of the game, with Fulham preferring to attack down the middle or the right flank. Didn't get forward too much though before being switched to centre-back with 20 minutes to play.
Took his goal superbly. Made a good pass and carried on his run, sending a stunner into the bottom corner. Got back to defend well when his side were up against it. Had one late shot, but couldn't find the target.
A very subdued first half. Was a little more involved in the second, showing some nice moves to get the Sunderland fans going. Made some good runs when the visitors countered.
Deployed on the right wing, but played a little too deeply to trouble Fulham's defence. Was pushed to right-back after the introduction of Fraizer Campbell.
Flashes of brilliance throughout the opening 45 minutes, but should have got a goal minutes after Sunderland conceded the first. Set up Bendtner really well after a fantastic flick got him past Riise, but the Dane couldn't convert.
Perhaps a little too eager to make tackles, giving away the free-kick for Dempsey to score the opener. Found Sessegnon with a great pass minutes later that should have got him an assist. Lost Dembele too easily for the second goal.
Was in the right place at the right time to block a Dempsey effort on the line. A fairly quiet game, but he passed the ball well in the midfield.
Looked on the periphery for long stretches, but used the ball intelligently when he got it, setting up Bardsley's goal. Was on the fringes during the second half and replaced with almost an hour gone.
Came on to replace Ji Dong-Won, but looked fairly isolated in his first few minutes on the pitch. Wasted his chance in the 74th minute as he screwed a shot over and wide. Nodded a header down well for a chance Campbell should have converted.
Missed an absolute sitter that would have squared the match. A poor effort from seven yards, placed wide of the post.
