That's it from me, see you next time!
What should have been a walk in the park for Dortmund ended up being anything but. They nearly let this game get away from them, but Langerak's clutch save right at the end saved all three points. You'll bet your bottom dollar that Jurgen Klopp will not want to see any of this nonsense in the Benabeu on Tuesday.
90' + 4'
NO! Dortmund hang on!
90' + 3'
Giefer up front for the closing stages....is there time for Fortuna?
90' + 2'
LANGERAK WITH A WORLD CLASS SAVE! Fortune is not smiling on Fortuna! Latka's header from a cross is heading right into the bottom corner, but the keeper dives to his right and claws the ball away right off the line! One more half inch and that was over the line!
90' + 1'
HUMMELS NEEDED TO GET IN THERE! What a close shave for the visitors. Bellinghausen's determination forced a cross in towards the six yard area, where Hummels stretches to take the ball away from Reisinger!
Three minutes of additional time...Fortuna siege imminent...
Yellow Card Adam Bodzek
Assist Axel Bellinghausen
Goal Adam Bodzek
FORTUNA PULL ONE BACK! Lambertz' free kick is left all alone by the Dortmund defence, and Bodzek steals in to nod home! Game on?
Right now, it's all about Lewandowski, and if he can keep his consecutive goalscoring streak going past 13 games. He has two minutes plus stoppage time to do it.
Yellow Card Mats Hummels
Reisinger has certainly energized Fortuna since his arrival off the bench. Had he came on earlier, the hosts could well still be in this game.
REISINGER! Of all the places to plant a header, he plants it right at the keeper! And it was a great position too, dead centre six yards out after Hummels had missed a cross into the box.
The difference in quality from Dortmund's substitutes is as clear as day. Lewandowski,Kuba and Reus have all had an impact.
REUS REUS REUS! So close to 3-0! Kuba's electric pace takes him right into the box from the right, and his swing across goal is parried by Giefer. Reus pounces, but his shot is right at the keeper!
Maco Reus is primed to come on the pitch, and it looks like Hoffman will make way.
SCHIEBER COULD HAVE MADE IT THREE...but Giefer is quick off his line to save his finish at full stretch! Good goalkeeping, but he really should have had no chance
Yellow Card Stefan Reisinger
BIG MISTAKE from the referee! Reisinger's ball clearly strikes the arms of the prone Hummels inside the area...as clear a penalty as you will ever see. But the ref refuses to acknowledge the howls of the Fortuna faithful, and instead books Reisinger for dissent. Very poor officiating, no wonder the home side are furious.
A goal and an assist for Sahin, and Dortmund are surely favorites for the three points. A mountain for Fortuna to climb with time ticking away.
Assist Nuri Sahin
Goal Jakub Blaszczykowski
And straight away, the substitutes make their impact! Sahin, from the top of the box, slips the ball into Kuba, who's marginal offside is not spotted, and he slots home!
And here come the changes. Lewandowski and Blaszczykowski make their entrance into the game.
Perhaps it's time for Dortmund to make a change, the temp of the game has dropped markedly and they seem to be running out of ideas.
DORTMUND SURVIVE! Santana and Hummels both miss a ball, and Langerak is forced to rush out and touch with his knee! But the bal rolls right to Bellinghausen...who throws himself at the ball only for it to roll wide!
Malezas with a great show of upper body strength to block Kirch from sneaking through to the byline. Good awareness to position himself for the block initially as well.
Van den Bergh gets away from Kirch with an excellent first touch, but cannot do the same to Santana, who strides out of the box with authority to whack the ball out of play.
Shcheiber does well to guide the ball to Leitner unmarked on the left. The youngster takes it well first-time and drills into the danger area, but Latka is there to stop the cross from reaching a Dortmund player.
Hoffman with a dangerous ball into the middle...Nuri Sahin arrives at pace into the area...but is inches away from getting a touch onto the ball!
Yellow Card Johannes van den Bergh
The good and the bad from Leitner. An excellent step over takes Malezas out of the equation, but with space to cross or pick out a shot, he instead slides right into the arms of Giefer.
Kruse with a lovely flick over the head of Grosskreutz, and is primed to lash in towards Schahin, but Santana is there to harry him off the ball.
Yellow Card Julian Schieber
But Giefer is tall and commanding, plucking the ball out of the air. He goes to release the ball, but Schieber inexplicably jumps right into him in a clumsy attempt to catch him napping. What was the Dortmund striker doing? Yellow card, and well merited.
Yellow Card Ken Ilsö
Ken Ilso absolutely cuts through Leitner near the corner flag. Poor tackle, deserved yellow card, and a decent free-kick opening for Sahin to swing in.
OOOOOHHH KEHL GOT A CRUCIAL TOUCH THERE! Ilso's strike was arrowing towards the bottom corner, but the Dortmund skipper flicks a toe to divert the ball away from goal!
Here we go again!
We're at the half-time break, and Dortmund lead thanks to a stunner from Nuri Sahin from distance. Fortuna started brightly, but could not quite sustain it, though they are far from out of the game. Will Klopp need to call on his bench big-hitters in the second half, or can the reserves close out the result by themselves? Join us for the second half in a bit.
Langerak with an awkward punch to get rid of a free kick, with Latka lurking underneath. That's about the last action of the half...no stoppage time as we move into the interval.
Bellinghausen has been on the periphery of the game for large spells, but whenever he get's on the ball, you bet there will be trouble. The winger whips in a devilish ball towards the centre of the box that no-one in red looks to attack, for some unexplainable reason.
Bittencourt with a cross over the top to Leitner on the right side of the box. Leitner feints left, and right, trying to get a defender to bite. But just when it looks like he's wriggled into shooting space, Leitner inexplicably passes straight to the defence. Alright then.
Yellow Card Robbie Kruse
Kruse booked for going into the back of Sahin, that's a no no.
That was an excellent run by Hoffman! He goes caring through two players on the right towards the top of the box and passes inwards, but Schieber's touch back does not give him any room to operate.
The match is very finely poised as things stand. Dortmund keep coming at the hosts relentlessly, but Fortuna still harbor a threat on the counter attack - Hummels and Santana have had to be alert.
Grosskreutz with an important interception, on his backside, to cut out a pass to the otherwise goalbound Kruse.
Felipe Santana's a big man, but even he could not stay standing after Schahin flattens him with a forearm shiver challenging for a high ball.
Hummels at the other end doing what he is paid to do...getting a touch on the ball at full stretch to prevent Kruse's dangerous effort from going on target.
Look at Mats Beckenbauer, beating two players with ease, charging through the middle...but there is Latka to make a good interception!
Oh dear...Grosskreutz' attempt to one-touch a long ball towards the box as a cross ends horribly, as the defence cuts it out with consummate ease.
Van Den Bergh tries to drill a low cross in to the six yard area, but Santana is not fooled, and makes a strong interception.
Sahin bends in a dangerous free kick, and Leitner comes within an inch of getting a firm header on at the far post. A foul is eventually called on Hummels.
Sahin really looked like he enjoyed that one...and why not? It was an absolutely sensational strike, diminished in no way by Giefer getting a hand onto the ball. Dortmund on top and look comfortable.
Assist Moritz Leitner
Goal Nuri Sahin
NURI NURI NURI SAHIIIIIIIINNNNNN!!!! WHAT A HIT! Spotting Giefer straying a little too far off his line, the midfielder lashes a magnificent effort from at least 30 yards off Leitner's layoff. Giefer gets a hand on it, but cannot stop its trajectory into the top corner!
Giefer is a lucky duck...striding out of his area and losing the aerial battle with Hummels. The ball is worked by the big defender to Schieber, who chests the ball onto the base of the post!
You could probably pop a balloon on Marco Reus' spiky cut. A shot of him on the bench carrying about two pounds of gel on his head.
Jurgen Klopp's men seem to have weathered the early storm. They're stroking the ball around comfortably, albeit in relatively nonthreatening positions.
The delivery sails over the head of anyone relevant, and resets for a throw-in on the opposite side. Bleh.
Finally some sustained possession for BVB inside the opposition half. Moritz Leitner knaws and kicks against Bergh near the corner flag. Last touch off the left-back...corner to come.
Hummels has not had a good season, and was at fault for Madrid's lone goal on Wednesday. But the defender is making amends so far today with some solid defensive plays. One toe-poke inside the six yard box diverts a cross away from Schahin, who was poised to smash home!
Schahin's got a spring in his step to start! He goes barreling straight down the middle towards goal, and only an ungainly intervention from Hummels puts him off his stride...with Bellinghausen totally unmarked on the left.
The fans inside the Esprit Arena are certainly in full voice today. Dortmund and Bayern are pretty much rockstars after their exploits midweek against Spain's top two, and what a boost it would be for Fortuna to take points off the toast of the town!
DORTMUND SURVIVE BY THE SKIN OF THEIR TEETH! Lambertz lofts one over the top for Kruse to chase - and he beats Grosskreutz to the ball on the right. Schahin is peeling away in space in the box, and Kruse picks him out. But alas, Schahin's first touch is too poor, taking him away from goal, where he goes down under pressure from Santana and Langerak. No penalty, and rightfully so. In fact, shouldn't that be a yellow card for simulation?
Early free kick for Fortuna comes to naught, as Santana butts the ball away from danger. The home side seeing all of the ball in the initial minutes.
Here we go!
We're just about to get underway, the teams are on the pitch...
Klopp is clearly not taking any gambles on his stars today with a trip to the Spanish capital on the horizon. BVB's 4-1 aggregate lead over los Blancos is as good a situation as they could have hoped for, but the tie is far from sealed. Over in Madrid, Jose Mourinho has also rested Cristiano Ronaldo for today's Madrid derby - clearly he wants the Portuguese to stroll in guns a blazing on Tuesday. So a smart play from Klopp today.
An almost completely unrecognizable lineup from Jurgen Klopp to the one that trampled on Madrid midweek. The ever-prolific Kevin Grosskreutz features as a full-back, and Mats Hummels is the only surefire starter in the group. But not to worry, Mr Boombastic himself Robert Lewandowski is on the bench should goals need getting.
Fortuna: Giefer; Balogun, Latka, Malezas, Ilso; Lambertz, Bodzek; van den Bergh, Kruse, Bellinghausen; Schahin.
Dortmund: Langerak; Kirch, Santana, Hummels, Grosskreutz; Sahin, Kehl ; Hofmann, Leitner, Bittencourt; Schieber.
Let's look at our teams, shall we?
