Live Commentary

  • That's it from Kiev this evening. Keep it here on Goal.com for the rest of tonight's match reports and reaction from across Europe. I'll be back for Ligue 1 action on Saturday evening.
  • 90' + 3'
FT: Dynamo Kiev 0-2 Paris Saint-Germain - PSG ARE THROUGH TO THE LAST 16!
  • 90' + 2'
Bogdanov reprimanded for a foul on Ibrahimovic, and there is just seconds left here. A rather routine win for PSG, who have sealed their passage. They weren't at their best, but a double from Lavezzi has seen them earn their third Champions League away win.
  • 90' + 1'
MILEVSKIY! Oh, fantastic cross from the right by Yarmolenko, and Milevskiy ghosts in behind the defender, and heads agonisingly wide. Really should've done better there. Testament to Dynamo's finishing problems tonight.
  • 90'
    Yellow Card Danilo Silva
  • 90'
    THREE ADDED MINUTES
  • 89'
A PSG player is down, as Koval breathes a rather regrettable sigh of disappointment. Meanwhile, the PSG fans inside the stadium are dancing in glee at their qualification.
  • 87'
    Yellow Card Artem Milevsky
  • 87'
    Substitution Nenê Javier Pastore
  • 87'
Final substitution in Kiev - Javier Pastore comes on for the booked Nene. Meanwhile, Milevskiy also goes into the book, for dissent.
  • 86'
The disappointment on a couple of the Dynamo players' faces, as well as manager Blokhin is clear to see. They have wasted the best chances in this match, in the first half. Profligate finishing has denied them.
  • 85'
    Yellow Card Nenê
  • 85'
Free-kick as Taiwo writhes around on the floor, after a crude challenge by Nene. An elbow went in there by the Brazilian, and he earns himself a yellow card for his actions.
  • 83'
Tempo has significantly dropped, as we approach the final seven or so minutes in Kiev. It's Porto 3-0 Zagreb in the other Group A game this evening.
  • 81'
DUDU! He's once more denied by the brilliant Salvatore Sirigu this evening. Veloso picks out the Brazilian on the wing, in space - with Dudu launching a fine shot which is again parried powerfully by the custodian.
  • 79'
Yarmolenko and Veloso combine, as Matuidi returns to scupper their attacking foray. Dynamo have resigned themselves to Europa League football it seems.
  • 78'
    Substitution Marco Verratti Sylvain Armand
  • 78'
    Substitution Denys Garmash Andriy Bogdanov
  • 78'
Bogdanov comes on for Garmash, who has endured a mixed evening. Sylvain Armand also come on for Paris Saint-Germain, replacing the rather erratic Marco Verratti.
  • 77'
A dip in tempo is noticeable, but Ibrahimovic revives a move as Lavezzi surges through the middle. The Swede loses out to Betao, as a crowd of defenders hinder his progress.
  • 75'
Dynamo with their fifth corner of the match, as Veloso readies for the delivery. It's with his left foot, and high towards Milevskiy - easily headed away by the solid Thiago Silva.
  • 73'
Taiwo is fine, remarkably, as PSG slip back into possession. Verratti is involved in the move, but Khacheridi sees the ball back safely towards Sirigu.
  • 71'
A rather nasty injury suffered by former Marseille star Taye Taiwo after a challenge involving Clement Chantome. It appears that he has landed awkwardly on his shoulder. Will require some medical attention.
  • 70'
Milevskiy enjoys a rude awakening after seconds on the pitch - he's been fouled twice - winning free-kicks from Lavezzi and Matuidi. 20 minutes to go at the Olympic Stadium.
  • 68'
Substitution Mohamed Lamine Sissoko Clément Chantôme
  • 68'
More news in Portugal, as Porto take a 2-0 lead against Dinamo Zagreb, Joao Moutinho scoring the second. All gearing up for a mammoth matchday six clash between Porto and PSG at the Parc des Princes, with the top spot of Group A up for grabs.
  • 68'
And we have a first substitution for PSG - Clement Chantome enters the fray in place of Mohamed Sissoko
  • 67'
Substitution Haruna Abdulkarim Lukman Artem Milevsky
  • 67'
Substitution for Dynamo Kiev - Artem Milevskiy on for Lukman Haruna
  • 66'
    Substitution Oleh Husyev Andriy Yarmolenko
  • 66'
Substitution for Dynamo Kiev - Andriy Yarmolenko is on for Oleg Gusev.
  • 65'
HARUNA! Great shot, fantastic attempt from the Nigerian as he unleashes a furious shot towards Sirigu, who gets down low and comfortable.
  • 64'
Penalty appeal waved away by Wolfgang Stark as Lavezzi takes a tumble inside the box, but Dynamo are on the break, and it's Denys Garmash on the offensive.
  • 63'
    Yellow Card Yevhen Khacheridi
  • 63'
More misery for Dynamo as Gusev fails to connect a shot towards Sirigu, and that's after a great bit of progress by the wingers down the left flank. Night of frustration continues.
  • 62'
And it's a yellow card for Yevhen Khacheridi, for persistent fouling. 28 minutes to go at the Olympic Stadium. In northern Portugal, it's still FC Porto 1-0 Dinamo Zagreb.
  • 61'
Hour gone, and it's PSG who are in a rather comfortable 2-0 lead. Enough to qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League. Lavezzi once more fouled by Khacheridi.
  • 59'
An incredulous Blokhin looks on in amazement, at just how Dynamo have not scored this evening. Meanwhile, Ibrahimovic is booked for a foul on Khacheridi.
  • 58'
SIRIGU! OH FANTASTIC SAVE! A truly world-class stop from the Italian there. PSG go into a momentary lapse as a penalty appeal is waved away, and Dudu's hooked, curling attempt towards the top corner is amazingly clawed away.
  • 57'
PSG's defence holding up well, as the Dynamo attacking onslaught gathers pace. Veloso's corner in, and it's hooked away by the defender.
  • 55'
Betao with Dynamo's first booking after conceding a foul on Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Ukrainians have not given up, as Dudu plays a one-two with Garmash, before being blocked by Alex.
  • 54'
    Yellow Card Betão
  • 54'
Veloso delivers into the box, as Haruna heads on towards Sirigu rather tamely. The Ukrainians' decent start has been rather wiped out now. They'll be kicking themselves after failing to take their opportunities.
  • 53'
A very poor goal to concede, as El Pocho continues his renaissance in recent times for Paris Saint-Germain. He has looked lively, the ex-Napoli star. Finally coming good after his big-money move.
  • 52'
    Assist Blaise Matuidi
  • 52'
    Goal Ezequiel Lavezzi
GOAL! 2-0 PSG! An absolute gift of a goal. Khacheridi's tame back-pass towards Koval is picked up by Matuidi who finds LAVEZZI, and it's a simple tap-in from two yards. Easy, peasy - and PSG are through as it stands.
  • 51'
Substitutes warming up for PSG, namely Sakho and Rabiot. What can Carlo Ancelotti do to alter his side's fortunes? They look comfortable, as play is brought back all the way for Dynamo
  • 49'
Ibrahimovic has only had a few touches of the ball this evening, but an assist nonetheless for Lavezzi. For Dynamo, Haruna brought out a decent save from Sirigu.
  • 48'
Taiwo with a speculative cross in, but Matuidi has gone to ground after a challenge by Lukman Haruna.
  • 46'
UNDERWAY in the second half here. Dynamo in their traditional home kit attacking from right to left.
  • Sides are out for the second half, and a massive 45 minutes await for the hosts, who will be left to fight it out for the Europa League.
  • As is so often the case in PSG matches, the French side lead against the run of play. A half dominated by Dynamo with the odd sprinkling of moves by Nene and Lavezzi. Gusev, and more shockingly Garmash should've taken the lead with spurned opportunities, before Lavezzi's half-time punishment ensuring that Kiev are sliding out of the Champions League.
  • 45' + 1'
    HALF-TIME: Dynamo Kiev 0-1 Paris Saint-Germain (Lavezzi)
  • 45'
    Assist Zlatan Ibrahimovic
  • 45'
    Goal Ezequiel Lavezzi
GOOAAL!! PSG TAKE THE LEAD! Superb run, superb goal. Superb move. Fantastic by Lavezzi who starts the move by finding Ibrahimovic who reciprocates by sweeping the ball back towards the Argentine, who finishes with a fine chip over Koval!
  • 45'
It was a fine move, and a fifth assist of the Champions League for Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The former Napoli striker has broken the deadlock at the end of a very Dynamo-dominated first-half.
  • 42'
Oleg Blokhin screaming furiously in what I think is Ukrainian as his players continue to spurn great chances. They lead possession count on 53% to 47%. Blokhin needs to calm down, given his health scare soon after taking this job.
  • 40'
Five minutes to go at half-time, and PSG have not exactly gone out of second gear here. They've been matched oh so easily by Kiev, with Miguel Veloso a rare influence in the middle of the park.
  • 38'
And Marco Verratti is also booked for dissent. The Italian has a rather poor attitude with officials lately in France. Also reported by Alan Giresse that the 20-year-old needs to be dropped for him to buck up his ideas.
  • 37'
    Yellow Card Mohamed Lamine Sissoko
  • 37'
    Yellow Card Marco Verratti
  • 37'
And it's a yellow card for Sissoko, who caught Veloso despite being nowhere near the ball. Lavezzi and Ibrahimovic remonstrate towards referee Wolfgang Stark, but Sissoko is nevertheless cautioned.
  • 36'
Garmash with a lofted ball towards the slightly isolated Ideye Brown, and it's well cut out by Thiago Silva. Van der Wiel chases it away but Miguel Veloso has gone down here, a rash challenge by Sissoko. Rather stupid.
  • 35'
As it stands, a 0-0 draw would suit PSG in securing qualification, joining FC Porto - who lead 1-0 at home to Zagreb. The two sides face each other in Paris on matchday six.
  • 34'
DUDU! It's gone inches wide again. Haruna picks out the Brazilian winger on the left, and he comes in past van der Wiel, and flashes just past the post. Blokhin again gesticulates on the touch-line, they really should be ahead here!
  • 33'
PSG are left open, as Garmash leads the counter surge. Nene was caught in trouble, as the French side were left open at the back.
  • 31'
Matuidi has been booked for the challenge, but VELOSO! Curled wide, far better than his last few attempts, as the ball beats the goalkeeper, but also the goal. He's getting close, the Portuguese international.
  • 30'
    Yellow Card Blaise Matuidi
  • 30'
Half-an-hour gone in Kiev, and it's 0-0. Haruna has been fouled, and yet ANOTHER free-kick in a dangerous situation for PSG to contend with. Miguel Veloso to take this again, I presume.
  • 29'
Further signal of intent from PSG as Ibrahimovic works his magic down the wing and picks out Lavezzi in space on the far side of the box. A late late header from Khacheridi deflects the ball away from Lavezzi, and into Taiwo's possession.
  • 28'
Dynamo Kiev once more make attacking headaway, but possession in the final third has been atrocious. Garmash finds Danilo Silva on the overlap, and the cross in towards Brown is intercepted by Gusev, who cannot hold of Thiago Silva.
  • 27'
IBRAHIMOVIC! Good save by Koval. Good move as Nene sends over a low ball towards Ibrahimovic on the edge of the area, and the first time low shot is comfortable enough for the goalkeeper.
  • 26'
Blokhin fumes on the touchline, will there be a better chance this evening. PSG meanwhile, have a good chance of their own with a free-kick just 25 metres away.
  • 25'
GARMASH! OH MY, WHAT A HOWLER! Dynamo should and really, should be 1-0 up here in Kiev. Gusev's initial header is well saved by Sirigu, but he has let loose, as the ball gapes to Garmash, and an open net - he fires inexplicably over.
  • 24'
Dudu takes a tumble after going down far too easil under the challenge of Alex and Verratti. Another free-kick afforded to the Ukrainian side - they must take charge now, surely.
  • 22'
Ezequiel Lavezzi once more flagged offside as he attempts to connect to the pass from midfield. Goal in tonight's other game - it's FC Porto 1-0 Dinamo Zagreb.
  • 21'
GUSEV! Fine save by Sirigu. First real chance of the game as Gusev touches the ball into position and fires a low effort towards goal. Parried away by the Italian, and cleared away. More of the same will be required.
  • 20'
Free-kick to Dynamo as Garmash is fouled by Thiago Silva, via an aerial challenge. Veloso takes the set-piece once more, and it's flashed narrowly wide of Sirigu's goal.
  • 18'
Dynamo need a victory to maintain their hopes of a knockout stage place. Lavezzi is flagged offside after a superb pass from Ibrahimovic. The Swedish striker points to his temple, urging for concentration.
  • 17'
Verratti frustrated as his lofted pass toward van der Wiel is over-hit, and rushes out harmlessly for a goal-kick.
  • 16'
Nene and Sissoko combine, as Malian midfielder crosses rather waywardly towards 19-year-old Maxym Koval. The goalkeeper has a job to do this evening, after conceding four in the matchday one clash between these two sides.
  • 15'
Quarter of an hour gone in Ukraine, and it's 0-0. A competitive and balanced start, but you could sense that Dynamo are slightly in control here. Blokhin's men have raced out of the blocks quickly as Taiwo clears towards Brown.
  • 13'
Veloso has been an active participant in these early stages for Dynamo Kiev, as he searches a pass towards Danilo Silva. Eventually, the ball is thread to Ideye Brown who tees up for a shot, and it's expertly denied by Alex who blocks the ball out for a corner.
  • 12'
Awkward for Sirigu - he completely miss Veloso's threatening ball into the box. Dudu just behind him and the Italian is lucky that it was not punished at all.
  • 11'
Van der Wiel reprimanded for a rash challenge on Gusev. Safe to say, that the World Cup finalist has not been in good form since his switch to Paris, and he has conceded a free-kick here.
  • 10'
ALEX! OH MY WORD - JUST WIDE - an unmarked Alex really should've opened the deadlock there. Criminal from Dynamo, and it was a superb inswinging cross in from Nene. Really should've been 1-0 here, as Carlo Ancelotti looks on frustrated.
  • 9'
Free-kick delivery was poor, and PSG are on the break here, as Lavezzi races down and tricks his way past a couple of defenders. Eventually, the Argentine wins a corner. Fine effort, a really great run.
  • 8'
Lukman Haruna down, as he is challenged by Mohamed Sissoko. Free-kick Dynamo. Haruna initially slipped and lost his balance, but Sissoko's stretched foot connected with the Nigerian's thigh.
  • 7'
KHACHERIDI! Easily over. A good jump by the defender sees him get to the ball fast, but he's leaning all the way, and eventually heads the ball far over the goal of Salvatore Sirigu.
  • 6'
Dynamo currently matching their more esteemed French opponents so far, with a corner being awarded. Miguel Veloso to take.
  • 5'
Veloso draws a couple of gasps from the Dynamo faithful as he surges down the right in a fine position for a delivery, but Maxwell's late interception means the move does not progress.
  • 4'
Paris Saint-Germain have won just two away games in the Champions League - with one of them coming just last month at Dinamo Zagreb. They are currently on the back foot as Gusev dribbles his way into the box, but Gregory van der Wiel eventually intercepts.
  • 3'
Getting livelier now as Haruna bombs down the right flank with a delicate cross into the penalty box, looking for Brown - an alert Thiago Silva clears it away well.
  • 2'
Comfortable start from Dynamo, inside a half-empty Olympic Stadium in Kiev - Miguel Veloso, looking good in possession, but cannot get the ball towards Betao.
  • 1'
KICK-OFF IN UKRAINE! PSG require just a point this evening to progress to the last 16. Anything other than that, and this 'crisis' may just continue.
  • The teams are out, in what appears to be a very cold November evening in the Ukrainian capital. Tonight's referee is Wolfgang Stark.
  • TEAM NEWS: Ezequiel Lavezzi is handed a third consecutive start, as Zlatan returns from suspension. Momo Sissoko is in midfield, ahead of Clement Chantome as Javier Pastore relegates to the bench. Gregory van der Wiel returns to replace the injured Christophe Jallet. For Dynamo Kiev, Niko Kranjcar's failure to shrug off an injury means Lukman Haruna is handed a start, with Andriy Yarmolenko and Ognjen Vukojevic benched in favour of Dudu and Oleh Gusev.
  • Dynamo KIEV: Koval, Danilo Silva, Betao, Taiwo, Khacheridi, Miguel Veloso, Garmash, Gusev, Haruna, Dudu Ideye SUBS: Shovkovskiy, Vukojević, Yarmolenko, Bogdanov, Milevskiy, Mehmedi, Marco Ruben.
  • PSG: Sirigu, Thiago Silva, Alex, Maxwell, Van der Wiel, Sissoko, Nenê, Matuidi, Verratti, Lavezzi, Ibrahimović SUBS: Douchez , Sakho, Armand, Chantôme, Rabiot, Pastore, Hoarau.
  • CONFIRMED TEAM LINE-UPS:
  • Statistics and permutations coming your way, courtesy of Opta: Dynamo need to win this match in order to keep their qualification hope alive, whereas a point will see PSG qualify and still have a chance of topping the group if they get the right result on matchday six against Porto. Zlatan Ibrahimovic has the most assists in this season’s Champions League (4), all of them coming in his last appearance against Zagreb where he set up all PSG’s goals. Ibrahimovic has netted seven goals and assisted eight in his last 12 Champions League appearances. Dynamo are unbeaten in their last 11 European home games (excluding qualifiers) winning five and drawing six.
  • Meanwhile, two-time Champions League winner Ancelotti urges concentration in his pre-match conference: "We are yet playing as a team and we are going through a bad spell. We have to change things and I am going to change things. We need to be more concentrated, more determined and harder. It is not right. We need speed and intensity. I am not scared to say it; we are in a crisis."
  • Oleg Blokhin calls for fighting spirit ahead of tonight's clash at the Olympic Stadium: "We have no other choice but to win on Tuesday to keep alive our chances for a place in the knock-out stage," he said. "It will be a really tough mission but we will fight up to the end until we have a slightest chance to make it."
  • In tonight's other game, eliminated Dinamo Zagreb are in battle with Porto - who can win the group tonight, if PSG manage to lose. Kick-off at the Estadio do Dragao is at 20:45 CET.
  • Dynamo Kiev meanwhile are in danger of elimination. Only four points from four games have been amassed, and it means that anything other than a victory would see them fight for a Europa League place instead. They are unbeaten in Europe in Kiev in the group stage thus far, but how Oleg Blokhin's side could do with three points - a three points which could definitely unsettle the structure of Group A
  • Indeed, in the Champions League, they have an acceptable record thus far. Three wins and one defeat to FC Porto means they sit one point further behind the Portuguese giants in Group A, and they looked relatively calm in their last European outing - a 4-0 home win over Dinamo Zagreb, where Zlatan Ibrahimovic notched all four assists.
  • Paris Saint-Germain are in CRISIS. Well, according to Carlo Ancelotti anyway. The French side failed to beat Rennes on Saturday, despite the visitors playing for 41 minutes with just nine men, as Ancelotti's men suffered a 2-1 defeat. It ensures that they have gone three matches without victory, and anything other than a win tonight will put further pressure on the side that are now second in Le Championnat.

  • Good evening, and welcome to Goal.com's LIVE! UEFA Champions League coverage. Tonight sees Paris Saint-Germain travel to Ukraine to face Dynamo Kiev at the Olympic Stadium. A point here, would see them safely through to the last 16. Confirmed team news shortly.
