The 28 year old goalkeeper had performed impressively over the tournament keeping several clean sheets. An assured start to the game was quickly erased by an error in which he failed to connect with a cross, also bringing down his player in the process. Looked shaky throughout extra time.
The 24 year old failed to live up to previous performances in the Copa as he offered little of an attacking threat. Had a strong start but faltered afterwards.
The AC Milan defender was solid against Guerrero and Vargas constantly charging down attacks and heading away clearances. Easily turned in for Peru's second, which shadowed an otherwise good performance.
The Atletico defender had initially performed admirably throughout the course of normal time as he linked well with Yepes. Along with his team-mates, lost his concentration throughout the additional 30 minutes.
The Valenciennes man did well in combining defence with attack, and his rough-house tackling ensured he held no prisoners. Disappointing as the match wore on. Also booked in extra time.
Along with Sanchez, sought to override the midfield and proved to be a driving force for chances in the first half. Fell towards the second when he was finally substituted in extra time for a more attack-minded player.
Guarin performed impressively throughout the first half as Colombia stamped their dominance on this game. Along with Moreno, he was the bright spark of chances and also hit the post late on. In extra-time, he failed to really create opportunities.
The Udinese star endured a distinctly average evening in Cordoba as he was time and again caught out by Vargas and Guerrero.
A rather disappointing night for the Hertha Berlin man. Along with Falcao he was unimpressive when leading the frontline. Had a few chances which he failed to take.
Impressive outing for the 25-year-old, who ran the show in normal time. Moreno's solid workmanlike performance enabled Colombia to string attacks together. He hit the post with a fearsome shot following Falcao's penalty miss and also tested the keeper a few times. Like the rest of his side, was off-colour during extra time.
Perhaps the biggest disappointment of the night. The Porto hitman was never himself as he failed to replicate his club form for his country. Looked frustrated from missing gilt-edged chances. Spurned a penalty which really would've settled the match. Caught offside a few times as well as spruning many an opportunity.
The Nice shot-stopper performed well for Peru as he made several important saves to keep his side in the match. Pushed a Fredy Guarin effort onto the bar whilst also keeping Guarin and Moreno out.
Revoredo tried his best to contain Guarin, but was beaten to the post time and again by the Porto midfielder. Nevertheless, he improved throughout extra-time to aid his side to a 2-0 victory.
The centre-back thought he had lost the game for his side when he brought down Moreno for the penalty. However, since that incident, the Sporting defender rarely looked back as he continued to hold his nerve.
Vilchez had initially been overrun by Dayro Moreno on his flank, but redeemed himself in extra-time and stepped up his game. Did his defensive duties well, but sometimes caught out on the break.
Advincula was particularly disappointing in the first half and was perhaps seen as a weak link by Sergio Markarian. Booked inside the first minute before being subbed at half-time by the more impressive Lobaton.
The Alianza Lima man did well to hold his own in the defensive side and did his job in central defence.
Balbin was one of the few players who were distinctly quiet in an otherwise gruelling encounter. Came to life late on in the second half as his stinging shot was superbly tipped over by Martinez.
Cruzado was another who failed to light up for Peru in normal time, preferring to sit back and absorb play in midfield. Did what he needed to in extra time but subbed for Ballon towards the end.
Chiroque performed well on the wing, and beat his opponents for pace on a few occasions. Did what he had to do with minimal fuss before being forced off with cramp and substituted in extra-time
Peru's captain and talisman led his side to a shock victory with an impressive all-round performance. Was the catalyst in creating the chances, whilst also having a hand in both goals. Tested Martinez with a good effort in the first half, before taking the free-kick which caused problems for the Colombian keeper and later propping up to score the second.
The Hamburg striker had a mixed game insome parts. The 27-year-old didn't really ignite during the first half due to poor supply. He redeemed himself, linking well with Vargas and Lobaton to really drive through. Much more impressive late on and assisted Vargas for the second goal.

One of the extra-time substitutes. Not enough time to stamp his authority on the match
The Wigan man was brought on to inject some attacking steel into Colombia but ultimately failed. Had one good chance with a free-kick which went narrowly over the bar.
Came on late for Aguilar - not enough to really change proceedings.

The substitution which had led to Peru's win. Lobaton had a slow start when introduced in the second half but came to life soon after and created chances. Scored a fortuitious opener for his side which he took with aplomb.
Came on towards the end of extra time. Not much of an effect
