  PREVIEW

Churchill Brothers take on Salgaocar in what will prove to be an intensely contested Goan derby. A win for Churchill would see them take provisional top spot in the league until Dempo SC are in action on Saturday.

Despite losing their first game, Churchill have won 3 games on the bounce to sit second, a point behind leaders Dempo. Key to this has been their clinical form in front of goal, with Akram Moghrabi proving to be one of the signings of the season, having netted 4 goals, along with Beto.

Will Salgaocar stop this goal machine?

Although Salgaocar started the league campaign with a shock defeat to newcomers United Sikkim, their last 3 games have seen them pick up five points from a possible nine. Although off-field matters looked to have affected the side with Karim Bencherifa opting to join Mohun Bagan, the presence of new coach David Booth would surely have a calming influence on the squad.

Having conceded just 4 goals so far, Booth's pressing concern should be their lack of composure in front of goal. Whilst they did score early against Mumbai FC, they found it very difficult to add to that lead. They will need to resolve this against a Churchill side who have conceded a paltry three goals in four games.

Salgaocar have got to be more clinical

  TEAM NEWS

Churchill Brothers:  The return of Bineesh Balan to the squad will boost the striking department, although with Akram in such fine form, he will probably feature on the bench.

Salgaocar FC: Having no injuries, and unchanged side is expected from their 1-0 win against Mumbai FC.
