The game finishes 1-1 between the Red Machines and the Mariners as the former are now champions of India! A presentation ceremony to follow!
FULL TIME! CHURCHILL BROTHERS ARE CHAMPIONS!
Churchill Brothers are 3 minutes away from winning this season's I-League title!
Yellow CardDenzil Franco
Lenny Rodrigues now lets go from distance, with the shot hacked away off the line by the Mariners' defence! A lot of players suffering from cramps in these final minutes...
Churchill just need to keep things in order and hang on in these closing stages to seal their 2nd I-League title!
Substitute Asley Fernandes of Churchill blazes a rasping drive from distance just wide as we enter the last 5 minutes of normal time...
Balal Arezou has been the man for the Red Machines. The Afghan attacker has come on an rejuvenated the Goa side, playing a huge role in the equalizing goal from Chhetri!
It might just be an own goal from Manish Bhargav, as it looks like he got a large chunk of his head onto it. Chhetri claiming the goal! Churchill fans don't care as long as the ball is in the back of the net!
GOOOAAALLL!!! EQUALIZER! Sunil Chhetri heads in the leveller at the back post following a great cross from Bineesh Balan!
Shilton Paul again coming to the away side's rescue following a penalty box scramble and a close range Antcheout shot parried away!
SENSATIONAL STUFF! Just introduced Balal Arezou after some good work on the left, fired in a cross which Lenny Rodriguez did well to head towards goal after Shilton Paul had flapped at it. Nirmal Chhetri did exceedingly well to clear it off the line!
Roberto Mendes Da Silva
The game this evening has been an intriguing affair, given in the corresponding fixture between both sides this season, the Red Machines had comprehensively beaten the Mariners 2-0! Today, Mohun Bagan have been excellent, proving to be a really tough nut to crack...
Brilliant save by Shilton Paul! As the ball richocheted off the wall, Beto volleyed one towards goal which the custodian did well to push over!
Churchill awarded a free kick at the edge of the box after Beto was felled on yet another occasion...
Sunil Chhetri drags a shot wide from the left hand side following a rare surging run. A rushed shot from the Indian international in the wake of an onrushing challenge!
Yellow CardManish Bhargav
Manish Bhargav becomes the 4th Mohun Bagan player to enter the referee's book following a clumsy challenge...
HOW DID NABI NOT MAKE IT 2-0? The No. 19 for Mohun Bagan skied a sitter after Churchill were caught napping from a short corner!
Beto blasts a free kick from far range into the stands for Churchill...
And we are underway in the second half...
The second half is set to begin. CAN CHURCHILL OVERTURN THIS ONE TO WIN THEIR SECOND EVER I-LEAGUE TITLE OR CAN THE RED MACHINES UPSET THEIR AMBITIONS?
It has been an intensely scrappy affair at the Tilak Maidan between the Goans and Bengal side. Tackles, yellow cards, substitutions and a goal. We have had everything in the first half. The tempo has been high from both sides, though Churchill have gone in the more frustrated lot.
Half Time: CHURCHILL BROTHERS 0-1 MOHUN BAGAN (Sabeeth 27')
Even though Mohun Bagan are a goal up, they have already used up two of the three allowed substitutions in the first half itself. At the same time, Nabi has looked like their best player in the first period!
Churchill are playing with their backs to the wall. The tackles are growing seemingly full-blooded from both sides as Henry Antchouet went down wrongly according to the referee at the edge of the box.
Yellow CardShilton Paul
Odafa Onyeka Okolie
Yellow CardE. Anyichie
GoalC S Sabeeth
GOOOAAALLLL!!!! C.S Sabeeth has stunned the home side. Following an amazing solo run into the Churchill penalty box, Sabeeth cut inside and slotted home at the goalkeeper's near post from close range.
Beto the creator once again, but Chhetri heads the ball wide
Beto releases Antchouet ahead, but the latter wasn't able to control the ball in a good position inside the box
Beto's free kick straight to Bagan goalkeeper Shilton Paul
Yellow CardDenson Devadas
A lot of tackles too flying around at either ends of the ground
SAVE! Nabi sneaks inside the Churchill box and lets go of a left-footer, but goalkeeper Sandip Nandy comes up with a reflex save
Both teams are pressing hard to rule early on
Mohun Bagan get us underway
Two minutes of added time at the end of the first half. Can Churchill equalize?

It's a crazy scene at the stadium with some local bands eager to celebrate Churchill Brothers second I-League title, and curse me not if Mohun Bagan win today
DID YOU KNOW?
Churchill Brothers SC
win or draw this match, the club's technical director Subhash Bhowmick will win the league title after a gap of nine years (last won the NFL with East Bengal in 2003-04 season).
At the same time,
Churchill Brothers SC
would win the I-League for the second time in four years after sealing their maiden league title in season 2008-09.
(35), who have two matches in hand on the 11th spot, can sport a possible best eighth place finish if the teams above lose their remaining matches.
Detailed I-League standings
This is probably one of the few instances this season when the pressure is on the opposition, as opposed to Mohun Bagan now that they have successfully booked a berth in next season's I-League.
Mohun Bagan, on the other hand, will look to end the season on a high as they have successfully avoided the drop after having had to start from zero point from round 11 onward.
Churchill Brothers have been undefeated in their last five outings coming into the game and if they continue that rich vein of form this evening, the I-League title shall remain in Goa for another season.
A draw will hence be enough for the Mariano Dias-led side against Karim Bencherifa's Mohun Bagan.
With East Bengal having fallen out of the I-League title race following the Red and Gold's 2-2 draw against Dempo SC on Saturday, the title race remains between Pune FC (49) and Churchill Brothers (51) although the Goans - who enjoy a better head-to-head record - have a game in surplus.
The Mariano Dias-led team will be looking to seal their second I-League title on Tuesday, for which they need just a point from the tie
be crowned I-League champions today, or will the
delay the Goan side's title celebrations?
