Mariano Dias' team have to overcome the challenge of a Dempo side that are undergoing one of their worst run of forms in the I-League....

Churchill Brothers can take a huge step in their quest towards becoming the I-League champions of the 2012-13 season if they defeat Armando Colaco's Dempo. The Red Machine are on the back of a 1-0 loss to Warriors FC in the Asian Confederations Cup (AFC) Cup and will look to avoid an extension of that in the I-League. With a strong side at his disposal, Mariano Dias has to ensure that his team gets the three points against Dempo who are looking a jaded and tired outfit. The Red Machine have a double header against Mohun Bagan following this game which would be vital in determining whether the I-League title stays in Goa or makes its way across the country to Kolkata into the hands of a waiting East Bengal.
If Dempo were given the chance to end the season now, they most certainly would take it. The Golden Eagles started this season as title favourites and reigning champions, but have looked anything but that towards the final stretch of the season. With an ageing squad ravaged by injuries and off-field issues, Armando Colaco's team will be looking to rekindle the form that saw them being one of the most consistent sides in the top flight of Indian football. With the possibility of a squad transition over the horizon, this group of quality players will need to muster one last hurrah for their club.
Churchill Brothers: Star midfielder Beto is still out injured. Mariano Dias will look to use the same squad that defeated Pune FC in the last round of the I-League.
Dempo SC: Armando Colaco has to address his side's defensive issues as they have been leaking goals aplenty. With Cresson Antao being unavailable due to suspension along with the injuries to Prathamesh Maulingkar, Rowilson Rodrigues and Mahesh Gawli, Colaco might be forced to use Peter Carvalho and Selwyn Fernandes as a makeshift central defensive pair. Ryuji Sueoka is still out injured and will not feature in the game.
