Made a good save to touch Reid's viciously struck free kick over the bar early on. Had very little to do in the second half. Made a fine save to tip over Odemwingie's set piece late on and followed it with another fine save from a corner.
Didn't influence the game going forward as he normally does but was faultless from a defensive point of view.
Often left Ivanovic isolated with his inclination to bomb forward. Did well matched against Dorrans, the West Brom midfielder never looked like causing him problems.
His range of passing was once again exemplary as he broke out of the Chelsea backline. Did well to head Oscar's cross back into a dangerous area for Chelsea's opening goal. Was commanding at the back for Benitez's side throughout, superb performance from the Brazilian.
Solid first-half performance from the Serbian. He didn't let Fortune, Long or Dorrans have more than a sniff at goal. Kept up his fine work after the break, too.
Played a magnificent pass forward to Mata late in the first half but was unlucky to see the Spaniard flagged offside. Wasted a chance with a poor decision to shoot when Chelsea had an opportunity to break late on.
Didn't get as many one-on-one situations against the Baggies' full-backs as he would have liked in the first half. Was much better after the break, running past Ridgewell wih ease on a few occasions.
Kept very busy in central midfield and was neat and tidy with most of his work in the first half. Had a fairly uneventful afternoon by his recent standards but wasted a chance to grab another goal to add to his tally late on.
Had two glorious chances to hand Chelsea an early lead but couldn't beat Foster on either occasion. Had another gilt-edged chance from close range late on in the second half but again couldn't beat the Baggies goalkeeper. Could have had a hat trick on another day.
The Spaniard was once again at the heart of all of Chelsea's best attacking play. He floated a superb ball in for Oscar in the first half and continued to make Chelsea tick throughout the game. The most important cog in the Chelsea machine.
Wasn't involved as much as he would have liked in the first quarter of the game but stayed alert and took his one chance of the match. Didn't have much joy in the second period.
Made a smart save to deny Oscar an early goal and went one better to keep out David Luiz's deflected free kick later in the half. Could do very little about Ba's opening goal but put in a great performance on the whole.
Struck a vicious free kick which brought the best out of Cech in the early stages but was otherwise subdued.
Kept Demba Ba quiet for large periods of the match with his physical approach but let the Blues striker evade him for Chelsea's goal. Lucky not to give away a penalty for a foul on Hazard in the second half.
Had his hands full with the tricky Eden Hazard but did relatively well to keep the Belgian from influencing the game from the right flank in the first period. Let Hazard go a few times after the break, causing the exposed McAuley to give away some fouls.
Made a vital interception to cut out a through-ball intended for Ba, which probably would have resulted in a goal in the first half. Made a couple of key tackles to scupper Chelsea's attacks after the break too. Good performance from the Northern Irishman.
The normally assured Argentine wasn't up to his usual high standard in the first half. He misplaced a few short passes and made a couple of clumsy challenges in an attempt to make up for it. Didn't get much better for him in the second period, either.
The Baggies midfielder didn't enjoy his afternoon on the left-hand side. Had no joy against a resolute Azpilicueta and was brought off after 70 minutes.
Never had a chance to get his head up on the ball in midfield and rarely ventured forward as he so often does for Steve Clarke's side.
Battled well in central midfield and did well to break up Chelsea's forward momentum on a couple of occasions.
Showed plenty of desire after getting the chance to replace the ineligible Lukaku. Gave Luiz and and Ivanovic plenty to think about in the opening minutes but was marked out of the game in the second half.
Made countless runs along the channels but was rarely picked out by Morrison and Yacob from midfield. Ran out of legs as the game progressed.
Came on for Dorrans with 20 minutes to go and provided the visitors with some much needed pace going forward.
Came on for Fortune on the hour to a chorus of boos but showed enthusiasm in trying to win the Baggies' fans over, without much success though. Tested Cech with a free kick in the final ten minutes.
