FULL TIME. CHELSEA 2-1 TOTTENHAM. Two huge slices of luck have put Chelsea three points off Manchester United in the title race. Sandro put Spurs ahead with a wondergoal before a Gomes howler resulted in the linesman wrongly awarding Frank Lampard a goal that didn't cross the line. The winner was scored by Kalou in the 89th minute to the huge relief of Carlo Ancelotti's men. Spurs Champions League hopes are now very slim as they sit four points off Manchester City having played one more game then their rivals.

Spurs have a late corner that comes to nothing. Looks like Chelsea will be taking all three points from this one!
  • 90' + 2'
John Terry, after moving off the pitch with an injury, rather cunningly rolls his way back onto the field to waste a bit of time late on. Two minutes left at Stamford Bridge…

GOAL!! CHELSEA!! KALOU!! CHELSEA 2-1 TOTTENHAM. They're still in the title face! The ball falls to the feet of Drogba on the edge of the box, he scuffs a left footed shot across the face of goal that finds Kalou, and the substitute slots the ball into the back of the net to the relief of every Chelsea fan inside Stamford Bridge. Replays showed that Kalou was infact offside and Chelsea can count themselves very lucky to be ahead!

Ramires tries to win the game by himself by running through the heart of Spurs midfield before throwing himself to the floor trying to win a free-kick. Referee Marriner waves away his claims and Spurs clear.

Not what we all expected, but it nearly comes off. Didier Drogba fools everyone by drilling a low cross into the centre and John Terry’s top-poke towards goal is saved by Heurelho Gomes.
  • 83'
David Luiz is caught on the edge of the box by Steven Pienaar, who barely touches the Brazilian, and Chelsea earn a free kick. Heurelho Gomes has not looked comfortable today, and Didier Drogba is standing over it…

Bale has reverted back to left-back whilst Pienaar takes over down the left-wing.

Vedran Corluka looks to have pulled his hamstring whilst ushering the ball back to Heurelho Gomes. He is replaced by Steven Pienaar.

This game is so stretched at the moment as both teams press for a valuable winner. The camera cuts to Sir Alex Ferguson in the crowd who knows a draw today takes them one step closer to a record 19th Premier League crown

Good move from Chelsea. Didier Drogba flicks the ball into the feet of the unmarked Frank Lampard after a pass from Nicolas Anelka. Lampard then decides to take his shot on early but is only able to fire wide of Heurelho Gomes’ left-hand post.

There’s another change for Chelsea now as Nicolas Anelka, who shares a joke on the touchline with Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp before entering the field, replaces Florent Malouda.

Another claim for a Chelsea penalty now - but this time it’s a serious one. Florent Malouda turns and shapes to shoot as he receives the ball inside the Tottenham area, but he’s brought to ground by a clumsy challenge from Younes Kaboul. Penalty, surely? No says the referee, who looks set to be stealing the headlines from this game.
  • 67'
John Terry fells Jermain Defoe on the edge of the box and Van Der Vaart stands over the free-kick. He steps up only to hit a tame effort straight into the wall. Poor from the Dutchman.
  • 64'
Gomes is the centre of attention once again, and it is another long range strike that he fails to deal with. Drogba hits a free-kick from 40 yards out and despite it looking like an easy catch for the Spurs keeper, he palms the ball straight infront of him. Luckily for him the Chelsea players haven't got enough time to react and the ball cannons off one of them and goes out for a goal kick.

In the aftermath of Gomes' first half howler, Drogba tries his luck from distance and it swerves right to left and Gomes does well to palm the ball away.

Modric and Van Der Vaart are linking up extremely well in the middle of the park as Spurs begin the second half far brighter than they began the first.

Didier Drogba isn’t happy with referee Andre Marriner and throws the ball away during a conversation with him. The striker’s frustration earns him a cheap yellow card.

Great run from Branislav Ivanovic. The full-back darts forward to the edge of the Tottenham area and is bundled to the ground by Sandro just inside the box. It would have been extremely harsh to award it, and the referee allows play to carry on.
  • 48'
Luka Modric is found by compatriot Vedran Corluka 25 yards out from the Chelsea goal. The hosts are slow in closing him down before John Terry gets a block in to divert the Croatian’s shot away from danger.
  • 46'
Chelsea kick us off for the second half. No changes from either side at the break.
  • Wayne Veysey reports from Stamford Bridge: “Real controversy here as the players head for the dressing room. The Tottenham players surrounded the officials and the Chelsea supporters gave the linesman a standing ovation. The replays showed that it was not a goal as the entire ball did not cross the line. Ironically, Frank Lampard, the victim of Fifa’s failure to embrace goal-line technology at the World Cup, takes advantage of its absence today. But how bad was Gomes' handling? Not the first time he has cost Spurs points this season, either. If Sandro is given a telling-off for scoring a stunning goal, what is going to be Redknapp's reaction to his howler-prone keeper when he enters the dressing room?”

HALF TIME. CHELSEA 1-1 TOTTENHAM. A half dominated by Chelsea has ended in huge controversy. Sandro gave Spurs the lead with a fabulous effort from all of thirty yards that flew into the top corner before a Gomes howler gifted Chelsea a road back into this match, despite replays showing the ball didn't cross the line

GOAL!! CHELSEA!! LAMPARD!! CHELSEA 1-1 TOTTENHAM. Huge controversy at Stamford Bridge and Heurelho Gomes has done it again. Lampard hits one from thirty yards out that is straight at Gomes and the keeper somehow allows the ball to squirm underneath his body and the ball edges goalwards before Gomes claws the ball away from goal. After moments of indecision the goal is given, despite replays showing that the ball hadn't crossed the line. Quite ironic that Lampard's no goal against Germany in the World Cup was yards over the line and wasn't given, and this time the ball doesn't cross the line and its his goal. Thats football!

Ashley Cole gets to the bye-line and cuts the ball back looking for Frank Lampard, but more super defending from Spurs means that the Chelsea midfielder is crowded out and the chance again comes to nothing.

  • 35'
Drogba sums up the frustration of both the Chelsea fans and the players by whipping in a cross that eludes everybody in the penalty area. As we approach half-time Chelsea seem to have ran out of ideas and Tottenham's lead is looking increasingly comfortable.
  • 32'
John Obi Mikel is starting to dictate play from the centre circle with some fantastic tackles on Van Der Vaart and Pavlyuchenko halting any Spurs attacks.
  • 30'
Drogba is starting to lose his temper as he loses a few loose balls before hinting that Van Der Vaart dived under his challenge. Chelsea are growing increasingly frustrated as they are having all the play but simpy cannot break down Tottenham's stubborn defence.
  • 27'
Despite Spurs breaking the deadlock it's still all Chelsea here at Stamford Bridge. Harry Redknapp's instructions seem to have fallen on deaf ears and this game is far from over!
  • 24'
Chelsea have come right back at Spurs and had two huge chances in the space of two minutes. Essien is first to try and find an equaliser as he heads a cross straight at Gomes, and from the resulting corner Torres somehow heads the ball over the crossbar from inside the six yard box. He must have thought that was going to be his second goal for his new club!
  • 22'
Remarkably in the aftermath of that goal Harry Redknapp refused to celebrate with his players, instead he elected to scream instructions at his players who have failed to perform in the first twenty minutes of this match.

GOAL!!! TOTTENHAM!!! SANDRO!!! CHELSEA 0-1 TOTTENHAM. Out of absolutely nothing Tottenham have the lead, and what a goal to do it. After being on the back foot for the majority of this game, the ball drops to Brazilian midfielder Sandro 25 yards from goal, and he hits an astounding right-footed half volley that leaves Petr Cech utterless helpless as it flies into the top left hand corner. Wow!
  • 17'
Chelsea are peppering the Tottenham goal now. Essien tests Gomes from the edge of the area before Malouda skips inside before hitting a low right-footed effort that Gomes smothers with ease. Spurs are living very dangerously and allowing the home side far too much play in their half.
  • 14'
What an unbelievable strike from Drogba. The Ivorian stands over a free-kick around 35 yards out from Heurelho Gomes' goal and hits a wonderful swerving effort that Gomes' tips onto the Spurs crossbar. Fabulous from the Chelsea striker
  • 12'
A reinvigorated Torres shows his ability by somehow making his way into the Spurs area after some superb trickery on the right-hand touchline. His cross is deflected behind for a corner though and the resulting corner comes to nothing. Positive signs from the Spaniard though.
  • 9'
Huge let off for Branislav Ivanovic. The Serbian slips and Roman Pavlyuchenko skips past the defender only to drag his effort horribly wide of Petr Cechs goal to the frustration of his teammates.
  • 7'
A long ball causes trouble in the Spurs defence and Didier Drogba nods the ball down for Frank Lampard, unfortunately for the Chelsea number 8 he can't get the ball under control and is forced wide allowing Spurs to eventually clear.
  • 5'
David Luiz is the next player to make a clumsy challenge, bringing down Gareth Bale on the left-hand side. Rafael Van Der Vaart takes the resulting free-kick and looks for Younes Kaboul at the backpost, but he overhits the cross and wastes the opportunity.

A feisty start here in West London results in Sandro clattering into Florent Malouda just inside the Tottenham half. Both sides look eager to attack in a lively opening

Tottenham get us underway attacking from left to right.
  • We are moments away from kick-off here at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea sit six points off leaders Manchester United and desperately need a victory to put pressure on Sir Alex Ferguson's men for their huge game against Arsenal tomorrow. Spurs also need a win in the race for the fourth and final Champions League spot. It's all set for a cracking encounter!
