FULL-TIME! Chelsea make a big statement here as they pick up a well-earned 3-1 win over Manchester United at Stamford Bridge. United performed well in the first half, but since the break the hosts were considerably better and deserved the win. United are now 12 points behind Jose Mourinho's men and that was their seventh league defeat of the season.

Another bad tackle from a United player. This time Rafael flies in with a two-footed lunge on Cahill and gets a yellow card, despite getting the ball. If either of those tackles deserved a straight red, it was Rafael's.
90' + 2'
Wild tackle by Nemanja Vidic on Hazard and the Serbian receives a straight red card. The defender and his United team-mates appear bemused at that decision.

Red CardNemanja Vidic
Well, the Mexican comes alive in the penalty area once again, but this time Cech comes out on top. Smalling heads the ball into the centre of the area and Hernandez nods it towards goal, but the goalkeeper catches easily.
Not long left for Chelsea to hang on now, although having said that, they have hardly been troubled again since Hernandez's goal.
On comes Nemanja Matic as he begins his second Chelsea spell by replacing Willian.
Decent move by United as Hernandez plays a lofted pass into the area and Smalling meets it at the back post, knocking it into the danger area, but there is no one there. That is where Hernandez should have been.
They play the free-kick short and out to the left. Januzaj goes down under a challenge from Ramires, but he gets no free-kick. The Belgian soon has the ball back again, however, only to cross straight into Cech's hands.
Willian fouls Carrick about 35 yards from the Chelsea goal, giving United a good chance to fill the box.
Cheap foul conceded by Valencia as he tracks down Azpilicueta and trips the Spaniard up, with nowhere to go for the left-back.
GOAL!!! United pull one back at Stamford Bridge! Phil Jones gets a shot away from near the penalty spot and Hernandez pokes it in at the back post. We could be in for an interesting final period here!
Chelsea are doing their best to let this match sink away without a trace. Can United bring some intrigue back into this?
The impressive Willian does well to squeeze the ball into the goal mouth after coming in from the left, but De Gea collects.
Once again, Smalling crosses from the right. It is overhit and comes to Januzaj. The youngster beats Willian and delivers, but Terry heads it away.
Almost a costly error by Cech! The goalkeeper fails to control the ball and Hernandez nearly steals the ball from him, but he recovers and retains possession.
Januzaj whips in a good delivery, but Welbeck's glancing header goes just wide.
Smalling's cross is cleared by Cahill, but he smashes the back on to Ramires and the ball loops out for a corner.
John Obi Mikel
Oscar departs to a generous applause following a fairly quiet match. Mikel takes his place.
Willian's delivery is deep and it ultimately goes straight out to the other side of the area. Hazard tries to find a way into the area, but Smalling blocks his cross.
Hazard comes in from the left and shoots, but the effort is deflected wide for a corner.
Chelsea continue to look the more dangerous in this. United are still seeing plenty of the ball, but they look so short of ideas in attack.
Excellent cross by Hernandez from the right as fizzes between the goalkeeper and his defence, before Ivanovic heads it away. I think Moyes probably wants Hernandez getting on the end of those crosses, though!
The kick is taken short and eventually Chelsea work the ball into the centre and Ramires fires over from about 30 yards.
Free-kick in a deep position on the left for Chelsea. They are in cruise control now.
Here comes Javier Hernandez, replacing Young, who has not had a good game on the left.
Yellow CardAntonio Valencia
Young controls Smalling's cross from the right. The winger, however, sees United's move come to a complete standstill as he handles the ball.
Evra appears to be struggling with an injury, hence the change.
United are 3-0 down and really chasing this game now. Moyes' roll of the dice sees Chris Smalling enter the fray for Evra.
GOAL!!! Eto'o gets his hat-trick! Willian's corner is met with a fierce Ivanovic header, which De Gea save. Eto'o, however, is on hand to tap in.
Eto'o does well in the right side of the area and wins Chelsea a corner.
Young delivers, but as has been the case too often in this match, the cross is pretty dreadful. Chelsea clear at the first opportunity.
Free-kick to United on the left wing as Januzaj draws a foul from Ivanovic.
Chelsea get the second half underway.
HALF-TIME! Chelsea take an invaluable 2-0 lead into the break thanks to Samuel Eto'o's double. United would argue that they probably deserve to be level, rather than two goals down, but the hosts have taken their chances clinically. Can United salvage anything from this?
GOAL!!! Chelsea double their lead over the champions! United clear the corner, but Ramires picks out Cahill who squares for Eto'o, who nets his second of the match. A cruel blow for United.
Luiz strikes it, but it deflects off the wall and goes behind. Corner.
Chelsea get themselves a free-kick in a good position, just to the right of centre, about 30 yards from goal.
What a chance for Chelsea!! The hosts produced an excellent counterattack starting with Willian, who skipped away from Jones before bolting past Rafael. He played the ball inside for Hazard, who eventually found Eto'o in the area after twisting and turning. The Cameroon forward crossed to Oscar, who somehow missed the target from about eight yards out with a scissor-kick.
More clever play by Januzaj as he attacks Ivanovic. He cheekily puts the ball between the Serbian's legs and Evra collects, but the Frenchman's cutback to Welbeck is poor.
Chance for Welbeck! Januzaj does well to get a low delivery into the danger zone, but the England forward can't get it out from under his feet and he hits his shot straight at Cech, with Azpilicueta pressuring him from behind.
Yellow CardAshley Young
Yellow card for Ashley Young as he hauls down Ramires when a Chelsea counterattack looked set to be launched.
United have given as good as they have got in this so far, but their supply to Welbeck has been poor. The forward has therefore been forced to roam out wide, thus meaning there is no one in the box at the crucial moments.
Brilliant play by Januzaj. The youngster looks to have lost out in a tussle with Luiz in the left side of the Chelsea area, but Januzaj turns the Chelsea man and plays a devilish ball across the goal's face, but no one is there for what would have been a certain tap-in.
The dangerous Hazard links well with Willian down the left. He tries to take the ball past Vidic, but the Serbian produces an expertly-timed tackle.
Clever play by Januzaj in the Chelsea area. He skips past Ramires, but when he eventually tries to cross into the goal mouth, Chelsea block it before clearing.
Virtually all of United's threat is coming down the right, with Rafael and Valencia combining to good effect, but their final-ball has been lacking until now.
Chelsea spring a counterattack as Hazard wins the ball in the left-back area. He surges towards the United half before laying Ramires off to his right. The Brazilian then plays Ivanovic in on the right wing, but his eventual cross evades everyone and goes over the crossbar.
Once again, however, Young's set-piece delivery is pretty poor and Chelsea clear with ease.
Terry pushes Januzaj over from behind, thus conceding a free-kick in a good position for United.
Willian's delivery goes straight across the face of the United goal, but no one can get a touch on it. That goal really served as a confidence boost for the hosts.
Excellent play by Hazard as he produces a stepover before gliding past Rafael and into the United area. He crosses low, but Vidic puts it behind for a corner.
Young plays the corner into the area. It finds its way to Carrick at the far post and he heads the ball back into the danger zone, but Cech collects above Vidic.
Evra is invited forward down the left and he wins a corner off Ivanovic.
Yellow CardDavid Luiz
Fairly wild attempt to get the ball by Luiz as he barges into Valencia while in the air. The Brazilian goes into the referee's book.
GOAL!!! Chelsea take the lead against the run-of-play! Eto'o cuts in from the right, beats Jones far too easily and then sees his left-footed shot deflect off Carrick and loop over De Gea, into the far side of the net.
United are doing a good job of breaking up the play so far, committing numerous fouls, but one can only wonder how long that can last.
Cahill lofts a free-kick into the United area from inside his own half and Eto'o tries to get his foot on the end of it, but Vidic's presence is enough to prevent that.
Hazard, who has been quiet so far, finds space on the left, but he is quickly closed down by three United players. Rafael and Valencia squeeze him inside, where Jones is ready to mop up.
The youngster tries to play the ball into the area from deep, but it barely beats the second man.
Good play by Januzaj on the left and the Belgian wins a free-kick.
Chelsea record their first shot of the match. Ramires pounces on the loose ball and charges towards the United area. He shoots from about 25 yards, but his effort is tame and De Gea scoops it up with no problems.
Straight decision by the referee as he awards Chelsea a free-kick near the halfway-line as Hazard is knocked over by Luiz.
Excellent link-up play down the right between Valencia and Rafael as a one-two releases the full-back into the attacking third. He cuts inside and plays the ball to Januzaj, who chips towards the back post, but Chelsea clear.
Januzaj's delivery has plenty of pace on it, but none of team-mates can quite get on the end of it.
United win another corner, this time down the right as an attempted cross is deflected behind.
Clever ball in behind Terry by Januzaj and Welbeck keeps it in play before winning a throw-in off the former England defender.
United's corner routine is a little odd as Young plays short to Januzaj, who stops the ball dead for the England winger to cross into the area, but he is called offside. Bizarre. Why not just play it straight into the area?
Januzaj does well against Cahill on the left and wins a corner off the England international.
Excellent chance for United! Young and Welbeck link up on the edge of the area and the former hits a left-footed shot from a relatively tight angle, but Cech makes the save.
Positive start by the visitors as they have seen plenty of the ball, particularly in the final third.
Here we go! United get the match started.
The players are now out on the pitch. Kick-off is just a few moments away.
Nemanja Matic will have to wait to make his return for Chelsea. He only takes a place on the bench today, as Luiz and Ramires occupy Chelsea's deep midfield positions.
However, United have not lost any of their last seven Premier League away matches, winning five and drawing two.
In 47 away matches against Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool, David Moyes has managed no wins.
If recent history is anything to go by, we could be in for a veritable goal feast today. There has been a total of 21 goals scored in the last four matches between these two sides at Stamford Bridge.
