That's your lot for this afternoon's action from Signal Iduna Park. Many thanks for joining me and don't forget to stick around Goal.com for reaction to today's match and more live Bundesliga!
Dortmund stay in fourth place in the table, eight points behind Bayern but last year's Champions League finalists have a game in hand. Stuttgart slip to ninth but will be delighted with their performance this afternoon.
Full-time at the Signal Iduna Park and it finishes 0-0. Stuttgart will be very pleased to come away with a point against a Dortmund side that, before today, had scored in each of their last 39 fixtures. The home side on the other hand will be left wondering just how they weren't able to grab the vital goal as they lose yet more ground on league leaders Bayern Munich.

We are in to 3 minutes of stoppage time. Last chance saloon time for the champions, Stuttgart waste more time as defender Maza comes on for striker Ibisevic. Tells you all you need to know about Stuttgart's intentions. They are quite happy with the point.
Dortmund wont come any closer than that. Lewandowski swivels in the area and fires a half volley over his shoulder that has Ulreich beaten all ends up but smashes back off the under side of the crossbar. It's just one of those days for the champions.
Dortmund are racking up the corners here but their latest set piece is wasted and doesn't even reach the box before it's hacked out for a throw in.
That's why you always have a player on the post. The corner is swung in by Gotze and is met by Subotic at the back post who heads towards goal, only to see his effort hacked off the line by Boka.
The crowd are still in good voice but there is little for them to sing about at the moment. There side do have a corner though.
Dortmund are already nine points behind Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich and can't afford to fall further behind. They need a moment of inspiration in these last ten minutes.
Stuttgart were always going to be a threat as long as this game remained 0-0 and it takes a block from Subotic to deny Traore's goal-bound effort. The resulting corner is cleared by the home side.
Final substitution for the home side as Marco Reus is replaced by Ivan Perisic. They've got less than 15 minutes to find a goal.
What an opportunity for Vedad Ibisevic to grab his fifth goal of the season. Mats Hummels looks to have Harnik's flick on under control but Stuttgart's top scorer nips and pickpockets the centre back in the area and fires at goal where Weidenfeller porduces a smart stop. The visitors should be in front.
Yellow CardVedad Ibisevic
Third booking for Stuttgart and this time it's for a rather clumsy tackle through the back of Subotic. Meanwhile Raphael Holzhauser has escaped the boos from the crowd as he is brought off for Kuzmanovic.
Borussia Dortmund are 'doing an Arsenal' but not of the desired variety as they continue to play harmless passes around the Stuttgart box. The visitors sit back and watch as the ball is eventually blasted over by Gundogan.
He is certainly capable of changing any game but Mario Gotze wont change this match with that kind of effort. The no.10 takes aim from outside the area but he drags his shot well wide of goal.
Dortmund have their third corner of the game but Hummels can only direct his header skyward. Still waiting for a clear opening in this second half for either side.
Having said that Stuttgart are still proving difficult to break down. Gotze tries to dance is way into the box once more but Georg Tasci is having none of it and dispossess the tricky midfielder.
You just feel that Dortmund are beginning to crank up the pressure. They've been bossing possession in this second half and the introduction of Schieber is already having the desired affect.
Schieber is inches away from making an instant impact. Reus pokes the ball through for the summer signing but he can't get the ball beyond his old team mate Ulreich and has to settle for a corner.
Ah now here's an interesting substitution. Julian Schieber comes on for Dortmund in place of Kevin Großkreutz. The midfielder scored twice in the 4-4 draw last season. On that occasion he was in a Stuttgart shirt.
Menacing looking break from the home side but no real chance presents itself and Gundagon ends up blasting over in frustration. Hopefully not a sign of things to come.
So close. Gotze causes havoc down the right hand side and slips the ball through to Marco Reus who blasts goalward from a tight angle. The commentator thought it went in and so did half the crowd but it's the side netting that bulges and we're still level.
First sight of goal in the second have goes to the visitors but there's no further progress on that opening goal as Ibisevic's glancing header drifts wide of Weidenfeller's goal.
We are back underway. Teams are as you were and unfortunately so is the scoreline. But I assure you that will all change... hopefully.
HALF TIME at Signal Iduna Park and we're still waiting on our first goal. Both sides have come close and really should both be on the score sheet. Big miss from Hummels but and even bigger miss from Ibisevic before the break. Surely there are goals to come?
These sides have amassed thirty goals between them in the league so far and how there hasn't been a breakthrough I will never know. If you need reminding of what a goal looks like I suggest you check out the highlights from last years corresponding fixture. Why I hear you ask?
Well last match these sides two clubs served up the Bundesliga game of the season in a 4-4 draw. Three of the goalscorers from that day are on the pitch today. Surely one of them could indulge us in an opening goal?
Big chance at the end of the half for Stuttgart! This time Gentner works the right flank and swings in ball that Weidenfeller can only palm to the feet of Ibisevic. Unfortunately the Stutggart striker isn't expecting the gift and the ball rebounds off his shin and out for a goal kick. Inches from a breakthrough.
Oh dear. Ibrahima Traore does well to muscle his way into the box but then flops to the ground under the hint of a challenge from Subotic. Poor from the Ivorian forward and the referee agrees, telling Traore to get back on his feet.
Dortmund haven't failed to score in their last 39 matches. An incredible run, but one that hasn't quite been continued today just yet.
Ulreich is thanking his lucky stars once again. Dortmund attack in numbers again and Gundogan only needs to square the ball back for an unmarked Lewandowski but instead the centre goes straight into the goalkeeper's grasp.
Lewandowski is very nearly in behind VFB. A delicious through ball finds the front man but his touch lets him down and rolls through to a grateful Ulreich.
Beautiful footwork from Mario Gotze. The playmaker tip-toes past a couple of Stuttgart defenders in the area but his shot is stopped by a last ditch block.
Another corner for Dortmund but this one is wasted as Schemlezer's ball drifts harmlessly over everyone. Dortmund have only scored once from a corner this season. On that evidence it's pretty obvious why.
This is a decent chance for the visitors. Ibisevic creates space for a cross down the right and his centre falls kindly for Harnik but the no.7 slips as he makes contact and his effort dribbles horribly wide.
That goal line clearance seems to have woken up the visitors. They manage to venture out their half for once but Boka's foray forward is snuffed out by Subotic.
Wow, how did that not go in? Dortmund have their first corner of the game and Schmelzer's delivery finds Hummels ghosting in unmarked at the back post. The defender's first effort cannons back off the crossbar and his rebound hits Boka on the line. Still 0-0, somehow.
We're over halfway through the first half and things have began to calm down. Dortmund are extremely composed in midfield but are struggling to break Stuttgart down.
Dortmund haven't been unsettled by Stuttgart's rough approach and are continuing to play on the front foot. VFB are struggling to get out their own half.
Yellow CardWilliam Kvist Jörgensen
Another bad challenge from Stuttgart and another booking. This time William Kvist catches Robert Lewandowski with his studs. Getting a bit feisty now.
It really was an awful elbow. Kehl received a lot of treatment and has had to go off with a cut to his cheek. Leitner replaces the the Dortmund captain. Weidenfeller takes the armband.
Yellow CardRaphael Holzhauser
Raphael Holzhauser is the first name into the referee's book this afternoon and he can consider himself a lucky man to still be on the pitch. He goes up for a header with Sebastian Kehl but the Stuttgart man catches the central defender flush in the face with his elbow. Lucky boy.
These opening minutes have been frantic and my hands have barely had the chance to stop. They get a break now as Mario Gotze miss-controls the ball out of play.
The stadium is jumping in Dortmund. Borussia's decent start has certainly impressed the home fans.
Dortmund think they have the lead here but its been disallowed for offside. Schmelzer's free kick floats into the area and Hummels gets the faintest of touches onto the ball to guide it home only for the flag to curtail celebrations.
Oooh, big chance for Stuttgart. The corner is taken short and when the ball is delivered into the box there are two free attackers at the back post. The ball is just behind Tasci but falls for Harnik who can only slice his effort over the bar. Let off for Dortmund.
Gentner again threatens for Stuttgart and it takes a brave block from Subotic to block his goal bound effort. Corner for the visitors.
There was a chance too for Mario Gotze from the follow up but the German international skied his effort into the stand.
Good chance for Dortmund up the other end. Gundogan lets fly from some way out and the ball dips just in front of Ulreich who is just about able to deal with it.
Early sniff at goal for the visitors as Gentner lines up from outside the area but his effort is easily held by Weidenfeller.
Dortmund get us underway here. There playing in their traditional yellow, Stuggart in their usual white.
Last March these teams played out a 4-4 thriller as Stuttgart clinched an injury time equaliser thanks to Christian Gentner. That was the third draw in a row these two have played out at the Signal Iduna Park. I know where my money is today.

VFB STUTTGART: Ulreich: Sakai, Tasci, Niedermeier, Boka: Kvist: Gentner, Holzhauser: Harnik, Traoré: Ibisevic
