So, Paris Saint-Germain's quadruple hopes are still alive and they return to Ligue 1 action when they host Nantes on Sunday while Francis Gillot's side will hope to bounce back when they travel to Bastia. Thanks for joining me, Max Bentley, on this live Coupe de la Ligue commentary. Until next time, goodbye.
FT: Bordeaux 1-3 PSG. Laurent Blanc makes it a hat trick of wins over his former club thanks to goals from Javier Pastore, Adrien Rabiot and substitute Blaise Matuidi. It was certainly not one-way traffic however and it took two late goals to seal the win after Andre Poko had seized on Rabiot's error to level the scores. Les Parisiens celebrate tonight as they are the first team in the hat for the semi-final draw.
90' + 2'
It's hardly been a vintage PSG display but they have had just enough to see off Bordeaux this evening. For me, Pastore has been the outstanding performer, with a large part to play in all three goals.
Francis Gillot makes a double change in the hope of a dramatic turnaround with Obraniak and Sertic being introduced. It's all too little too late for Bordeaux now though.
Goal Blaise Matuidi
MATUIDI MAKES IT 3-1! The Coupe de la Ligue road is over for Bordeaux as Cavani directs Pastore's pass into Matuidi's path and the midfielder has time to pick his spot and put the ball beyond Carrasso. PSG are heading to the semi-finals.
PSG have a chance to wrap up the win when Lucas dispossesses N'Guemo on the halfway line. The Brazilian plays in Lavezzi down the left but his shot across goal is well held by Carrasso.
Goal Adrien Rabiot
RABIOT HAS SURELY WON IT FOR PSG! The France Under-21 midfielder atones for his earlier error as he latches onto Pastore's perfectly-timed chipped ball before smashing a left-footed shot past Carrasso. PSG look destined for the semi-finals.
CHANCE FOR BORDEAUX! The hosts enjoy a patient build-up around the PSG box and Maurice Belay finds Rolan inside the area but his shot lacks conviction and Sirigu gets down well to save.
Saivet looks to make an impact off the bench as he receives Maurice Belay's pass outside the box but his finessed effort is well blocked by Pastore. PSG immediately counter attack down the other end but Lucas cannot keep his volley down and watches the ball fly high over the crossbar.
Poko becomes the second Bordeaux player to be shown the yellow card after he catches Pastore. Lucas floats the resulting free kick into the box but it is too close to Carrasso who plucks the ball out of the air with ease.
Yellow Card André Biyogo Poko
Laurent Blanc clearly does not want extra time with his side's busy schedule and he makes a double substitution, introducing Lavezzi and Matuidi in place of Menez and Verratti.
SO CLOSE FOR BORDEAUX! Sirigu nearly gifts Bordeaux the lead as he spills Maurice Belay's cross straight into the path of Rolan. However, the Uruguayan cannot adjust his feet quick enough and Camara shuffles the ball to safety.
Guillaume Hoarau will not get a goal against his former club as he makes way for Henri Saivet. Can the Senegalese forward have more joy against Thiago Silva?
Thiago Silva has won everything in the air today and he proves insurmountable once again as he gets to the ball ahead of Hoarau. Francis Gillot is preparing his first substitute on the touchline.
Rabiot was at fault for the Bordeaux equaliser and he does himself no favours as he sends another pass wastefully out of play. The young midfielder has struggled with Bordeaux's pressing game today.
Cavani surges down the left wing and his deep cross is collected by Menez who cuts inside the challenge of Orban before his shot is denied by Sane's brave block. The Senegal defender has put in an impressive shift tonight.
Cavani has struggled to make the desired impact since coming off the bench and he spurns a golden chance as he peels off his marker but miscontrols Pastore's chipped pass when unmarked at the back post.
Hoarau has been rather anonymous against his former club today but he beats Rabiot in the air to knock the ball down for Poko whose fizzing low drive goes narrowly past the post. Rabiot appears to have picked up an injury in that challenge and there is a stoppage in play as he receives treatment.
Yellow Card Marco Verratti
The PSG players are starting to get a little frustrated here and Verratti becomes the first visiting player to be booked as he tugs on the sleeve of Rolan. This is a much more entertaining second half.
GREAT DOUBLE SAVE FROM CARRASSO! The Bordeaux goalkeeper keeps his side in the contest as he produces a fine save to keep out Menez's effort before springing quickly to his feet and pushing Digne's rebound against the post. Menez attempts to poke in the rebound but Carrasso refuses to be beaten and smothers the ball.
Bordeaux come forward with Faubert down the right but his cross is too deep for his teammates in the middle. Maurice Belay retrieves the ball on the far side and his delivery is much more testing but Silva rises highest to win the header and get the ball to safety.
Yellow Card Abdou Traoré
Abdou Traore was largely at fault for the first goal and he picks up the game's first booking after a late challenge on Digne.
Menez launches a counter attack for PSG but he delays his pass and when he eventually decides to play Cavani in, the Uruguayan is flagged offside. Cavani does not look impressed with his teammate there.
Pastore has a chance to double his tally when he latches onto Digne's pass outside the box but he snatches at his shot and watches it go over the crossbar. The Argentine calls for a corner but the referee rightfully waves away his appeal.
PSG come forward with Menez but his frustrating evening continues as his attempted through ball for Cavani is well intercepted by Sane. I wouldn't be surprised if Lavezzi came off the bench soon.
Bordeaux are determined to press their opponents high up the pitch and there is a much quicker tempo and more urgency to this game now. The next goal could prove decisive.
The home crowd are really behind Bordeaux now and they cheer loudly as Cavani's free kick from just outside the box strikes the blue wall. Are we set for a cup upset here?
Goal André Biyogo Poko
POKO MAKES IT 1-1! Rabiot will not want to see that one again as he dispossessed inside his own half by Poko who storms towards goal before chipping the ball over the advancing Sirigu and into the net. That is exactly the start Francis Gillot would have wanted.
Edinson Cavani has his first touch as he gets the game back under way from the restart. Can Bordeaux find an equaliser in the second half?
The two sides re-emerge from the tunnel for the second half and there has been a substitution for PSG as Edinson Cavani replaces Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Cavani scored both goals in the 2-1 win over Saint-Etienne in the last round.
HT: Bordeaux 0-1 PSG. Javier Pastore's first goal of the season gives Laurent Blanc's side a slender advantage at the break. However, in truth, it has been a poor first half of football with both sides looking lethargic and out of ideas going forward.
45' + 1'
Goal Javier Pastore
PASTORE GIVES PSG THE LEAD! Bordeaux have frustrated their opponents all match but they cannot hold on until the break. Ibrahimovic seizes on a sloppy error and pokes a ball through to Lucas on the right. The Brazilian feints to cross and cuts back onto his left foot before picking out Pastore who coolly guides the ball through Poko's legs and into the bottom corner. That's his first goal of the season.
IBRAHIMOVIC GOES CLOSE! The top goalscorer in France is bundled to the turf just outside the box and he picks himself up to take the free kick, only to see his curling effort shave the outside of the post. That is the closest either side have come in this half.
PSG are beginning to turn the screw here and Ibrahimovic finds Menez with a clever pass on the edge of the box. However, just as Menez is ready to pull the trigger, Traore races back to make a good interception.
THE BALL IS IN THE NET BUT IT WON'T COUNT! It's a wonderful finish from Ibrahimovic as he volleys Pastore's neat chipped pass beyond Carrasso. However, the Sweden international had strayed beyond the Bordeaux centre-backs and the linesman rightfully flags for offside.
Pass. Pass. Pass. PSG continue to move the ball around the back but there is no real urge to get forward and attack the full-backs. It seems both sides are almost happy to settle for a penalty shootout.
Pastore almost opens up the Bordeaux defence when he spots Menez's run infield from the left. However, Faubert is alert to the danger and reads the play excellently to intercept.
Ibrahimovic won the Puskas award for the best goal last year but he is denied a glorious chance to open the scoring here as Sane produces a crucial last-ditch challenge. It's been a very pedestrian, lethargic half so far and Ibrahimovic does not look impressed.
A SHOT! Nguemo finds space outside the box and decides to go for goal, letting fly with an ambitious strike which flashes narrowly over the crossbar. It's safe to say that Sirigu had that one covered however.
Maurice-Belay looks to use his pace to launch a counter attack for Bordeaux but Moura is no slowcoach himself and races back to break up the move.
Rabiot pounces on an error inside the opposition half and he drives towards goal dangerously. The young midfielder looks up and spots Menez on the left but his pass lacks accuracy and strikes Ibrahimovic, allowing Bordeaux ro reclaim possession.
Bordeaux win a corner and just when you think they have a chance to get the game's first shot on target, Rolan's delivery is adjudged to have gone out of play. There has been a serious lack of quality from both sides in this opening 27 minutes.
Digne and Menez have struggled to link their passes together down the left and Henrique once again uses his strength to deny the full-back on the overlap. Laurent Blanc will not be too amused with what he has seen so far.
This is a more encouraging spell for the hosts and Traore bursts through the PSG midfield but cannot take Rolan's pass in his stride. This game needs a goal, a yellow card, even a shot on target, anything to liven it up!
Bordeaux seem content to sit back and allow PSG to have the ball. Ibrahimovic has had little service up front however and he starts berating a few of his teammates, telling them to pick up the tempo.
Traore is back up on his feet quickly and he bursts down the left wing before his dangerous low cross is expertly guided to safety by Silva. I don't think Sirigu has touched the ball yet.
There is another stoppage in play as Traore goes down under a challenge from Marquinhos who is warned by the referee. The statistics show that PSG have enjoyed 78% of the possession so far although we are still yet to see a shot on target.
PSG win the first corner of the game as Orban does well to keep up with Moura before deflecting his cross behind. From the resulting set piece, Marquinhos rises highest but his header is well cleared to safety.
There is a stoppage in play here as Verratti receives treatment after a strong challenge from Traore. The Italian should be okay to continue however.
It's been a good week for Thiago Silva so far as he earned a place in the FIFPro Team of the Year and he reads the play excellently to prevent Hoarau from getting in behind the PSG defence. Bordeaux have shown very little going forward so far.
PSG continue to come forward but Henrique does well once again to prevent Digne from getting on the end of Menez's pass down the left. The hosts are yet to get going in this one.
Moura and Pastore combine effectively for Les Parisiens down the right and Ibrahimovic chests down the latter's cross inside the box, only to see Henrique read the danger expertly and make a crucial interception.
Despite making wholesale changes, it is PSG who are enjoying all the early pressing here and Bordeaux are yet to get hold of the ball in the PSG half. Neither goalkeeper has been tested so far.
It's a bright start from the visitors and they go close when Marquinhos nips past the wild challenge of Poko down the right before blazing an effort narrowly over the crossbar.
The referee blows his whistle and Bordeaux get the ball rolling. Can they frustrate PSG's quest for the quadruple?
Captains Thiago Silva and Cedric Carrasso lead out the two sides and it will be Bordeaux, in their traditional blue strips, who get the game underway. PSG are in their alternative white kit.
And of course, tonight is also a special occasion for Laurent Blanc who returns to his old stomping ground. Blanc spent three successful years at Bordeaux, winning the league, Coupe de la Ligue and two French Super Cups.
Bordeaux reached this stage after beating Rennes 2-1 on aggregate while PSG required extra-time to knock out holders Saint-Etienne courtesy of a Edinson Cavani double.
These are two of the most successful teams in the tournament's history, having both won it a record three times, along with Marseille. PSG actually faced Bordeaux in the 1998 Coupe de la Ligue final where they won on penalties following a 2-2 draw after extra time.
STAT: The last meeting between these two sides in the Coupe de la Ligue came back in the 2008/09 season when Bordeaux emerged as 3-0 victors en route to lifting the trophy.
PSG (4-3-3): Sirigu; Marquinhos, Camara, Silva (c), Digne; Rabiot, Verratti, Pastore; Moura, Ibrahimovic, Menez.
BORDEAUX (4-2-3-1): Carrasso (c); Faubert, Henrique, Sane, Orban; Poko, Nguemo; Rolan, Traore, Maurice Belay; Hoarau.
TEAM NEWS: Francis Gillot hands a first start to former PSG striker Guillaume Hoarau while Maxime Poundje is suspended after being sent off in the 1-0 defeat to Toulouse at the weekend. As for PSG, Laurent Blanc gives Adrien Rabiot, Lucas Digne, Zoumana Camara, Lucas Moura and Jeremy Menez a chance to impress with Marquinhos starting in an unfamiliar right-back slot.
Bordeaux have not enjoyed the best of fortunes against the French champions in recent times and they will still be hurting from Alex's 95th-minute winner when these two sides met in the Super Cup at the start of the season. Bordeaux currently sit in eighth place in Ligue 1, sixteen points behind leaders PSG, but they have not beaten them in the last six encounters.
A place in the Coupe de la Ligue semi-finals awaits either Bordeaux or Paris Saint-Germain as they meet at the Stade Chaban-Delmas. Les Parisiens have already beaten Francis Gillot's men twice this season, in the Super Cup and in Ligue 1, and their hopes of a famous quadruple are still very much alive. Will it be a PSG hat trick or will Bordeaux make it third time lucky? Bringing you all the action from tonight's match, my name is Max Bentley.
