Left with absolutely no chance for both Hulk and James' strikes. Commanded his area well, and showed some good reflexes.
Dismissed for a completely needless foul on Hulk, the defender will not look back fondly on this game as he was hesitant in defence and had absolutely no impact in attack.
Was hardly bothered in defence, which game him plenty of time to bomb forward, and he was one of the better performers in Benfica's back four.
Was bamboozled a few times by Hulk, but generally managed to hold his own in defence. Made a few crucial interventions, but could have probably done better to prevent two of the goals.
Very good in the first half as he was one of the few bright spots in a sub-par defence. Kept his level of performance after the break, but was forced to leave the pitch with an injury.
The Argentine had a disappointing game as he struggled to impose himself. Did not connect well enough to Witsel and Javi Garcia and disappointed with his final ball.

The winger had a horrible night as nothing he tried worked. Lost possession far too often, was predictable, and more often than not misplaced passes.
The Belgium international delivered a battling performance in the first half as he covered a lot of ground and fought for every ball. Continued to give his all for the team after the break, but to no avail.
The winger was largely anonymous as he failed to make an impact. More often that not he was forced to drop deep to play with the ball, and could not make the most of those opportunities.
Missed an easy chance early on, but more than made amends afterwards as he bagged a double. Was very good at holding the ball up, and was also a threat from set pieces.
Could not do anything about either of Cardozo's strikes. Pulled off some good saves especially on the Paraguayan early on, and showed immense command of the area.
The defender was rock-solid at the back as he impressed with his tackling and positioning. Read the game well and made some crucial interventions.
The Argentine struggled to contain Cardozo and was turned with ease by the striker on a couple of occasions. He was hesitant and failed to convince.
Was far from impressive in defence as he often had to commit petty fouls to contain Benfica's attackers. Did not have much contribution in attack until he bagged the winner from what seemed to be an offside position.
The dynamic full-back had a decent game, but like his colleague on the right side of the defence, he overused physical tactics. Made a few great runs and showed crisp passing.
The midfielder had a very good game, dictating the tempo and spreading the ball from the centre of the pitch. Showed some neat touches and a string of fine passes.
Battled hard in the middle of the park, and once again impressed with his ability to hold possession. Made a few telling through-balls and showed great technique.
The tenacious midfielder had a wonderful game as he made sure Porto bossed the centre of the park for most of the game as he fought for every ball, and assisted James' equaliser.
The Brazilian striker started off brightly, bagging an impressive goal, but soon started to fade away as the game progressed. Had little impact in the second half.
The Austrian had a disappointing game as he was isolated for large portions of the match, and even when he got the ball he struggled to make something happen. Barely had a sniff at goal, and was partly responsible for Cardozo's second.
The Angolan struggled to deal with Benfica's defence, and spent most of the time complaining instead of getting his act together. Misplaced several passes, and was far from impressive in his decision making.

Came on for Moutinho late on, but failed to make an impact in his short cameo.
