T. Müller 63'
That is it from me, Tom Webber, for this afternoon. Thank you for joining me and have a good day!
FULL TIME - Bayern 1-0 Wolfsburg: Muller's goal gives die Roten the three points in a hard-fought win over the Wolves. The visitors defended well but Guardiola's men kept plugging away and eventually got their goal. Another defeat on the road for Wolfsburg, but there were positive signs for them there.
90' + 2'
The final whistle goes!
90' + 1'
We are into the first of an additional two minutes.
Shaqiri concedes possession with a heavy touch following Neuer's clearance, and Caligiuri takes it away. He races to the byeline but is followed by the Swiss, who does enough to stop his opponent from getting the ball into the box.
Wolfsburg are now penning Bayern back inside their own half and are looking to try and work an opening. However, a loose touch down by the corner flag ends up giving possession straight back to the hosts.
Good claim from Neuer, as he comes off the line to catch Perisic's lofted cross after the Croatian had got in behind the defence following Naldo's clever flick.
GOOD SAVE!! Diego flights a great free kick into the box which finds the head of his compatriot, Naldo. The big defender gets plenty of power on the effort from just inside the area, but Neuer will not be beaten by it as he dives to his left and holds the ball.
There could still be goals in this one, as Bayern are looking to push on ang grab another. In the process they are leaving themselves somewhat exposed, though, and if the Wolves commit a few more men forward then they could steal one themselves.
OFF THE LINE!! Bayern scythe through Wolfsburg as Ribery picks out Shaqiri running through the middle. The Swiss lays the ball off for Mandzukic, who beats the keeper but sees Naldo block his effort on its route to goal. He has a second go, but is unable to beat Benaglio.
Wolfsburg seem to have lost the desire to attack Bayern and are not getting forward with enough numbers to really worry their opponents. Perisic has been unable to impact the game so far, which is a shame.
It looks as though Borussia Dortmund are going to stay at the top of the league this afternoon unless Bayern can better their current 4-0 score against Freiburg. It would certainly make for an enjoyable closing 15 minutes!
A waste from Rodriguez, as his free kick is headed away by a Bayern shirt. They have not made the most of their set pieces today.
Yellow Card Mario Mandzukic
The signs still point to us getting another Bayern goal this afternoon. They have scored at least twice in 10 of their last 11 Bundesliga games at home. Wolfsburg, meanwhile, have conceded at least two in their previous four away games in the league.
Trasch is now starting to get exposed as Bayern have cranked up the pressure a bit. Alaba is also beginning to find space in behind him and it could be a source of further woes for the visitors if he does not get a handle on it.
It was Shaqiri who picked out Ribery in the build-up to that goal, so the perfect substitution from Guardiola. That will relieve the tension among the Bayern ranks so maybe we will see a bit more freedom in their play now.
Assist Franck Ribéry
Goal Thomas Müller
GOOOAALL!! There is the opener! Ribery finally beats his man out on the left and plays the ball across the face of goal. Mandzukic is unable to connect but Muller meets it at the back post to guide the ball into the back of the net. He has deserved that one.
Double substitution from Guardiola as he introduces Shaqiri and Kroos into the action. They replace Robben and Schweinsteiger, who have been distinctly average today.
HE HAS TO SCORE!! Trasch, who has been superb this afternoon, bends a great cross into the area which Olic is unable to get on the end of as Boateng puts pressure on him. Schafer gets behind Rafinha, though, and connects at the back post but is unable to keep his header down and hit the target. He thinks he was fouled by the Brazilian in the process but the referee is unmoved.
A great chance for Robben! A diagonal ball is knocked down for Robben inside the area by Mandzukic, and his first touch sees him straight past Naldo. Schweinsteiger awaits the ball in the middle but the Dutchman's heavy touch ended up running it out of play.
Lovely play from Robben as he dances in from the left and manages to win a corner for his team. The resultant set play is swung in temptingly but a green shirt heads it away.
Good work from Benaglio as he comes off his line to close Muller as he is played in behind. The Germany international has made some very bright runs beyond the forwards line this afternoon.
A sloppy pass from Rafinha enables Wolfsburg to counter at pace. The ball is sprayed out to Trasch who takes it down to the corner of the box. However, his team-mates are far too slow to get up and support him and an eventual attempt to switch the play from Polak gifts possession to the hosts.
What a chance! Dante sends a ball over the top and Muller latches onto it in behind. He does well to square it back into the danger area but he can only pick out a green Wolfsburg shirt!
Over the top! Bayern win a free kick 30 yards from goal and in a central position. Alaba strikes it, hoping to replicate his goal at the other end against CSKA Moscow recently, but he does not get enough dip on it to work the keeper.
Penalty claim for Bayern! Robben attempts to run onto a ball over the top but is shielded away from the ball by Luiz Gustavo and tumbles to ground. The referee awards nothing.
We are back under way!
The teams are back out and the second half will begin imminently.
HALF TIME - Bayern 0-0 Wolfsburg: The visitors have contained Guardiola's men excellently so far and limited their amount of space in behind. A change in plan may be needed at half time from the hosts, or they will have to continue grinding away and hope that the Wolves get tired. Join me in 15 minutes for the second half.
The half-time whistle goes!
That is stunning football from Bayern down the right and it ends up creating space for Muller to put the ball into the area. Three different Roten players go for it and none of them end up connecting! Mandzukic even went in with an overhead kick.
HOW HAS HE MISSED! Olic's headed clearance is awful and it falls to Robben inside the area. The Dutchman attempts to dig out a shot from the edge of the box but he sends it wide from six yards. It looks as though the Croatian made up for his effort and got a touch, though, as a corner is awarded.
Good clearance from Trasch! The right-back has been impressive so far and he gets himself into a great position to head Muller's cross away with Mandzukic learning behind him.
Clever from Neuer! The goalkeeper races off his line to close the ball over the top, which Koo is running onto. Rather than head it away, he dives backwards and gets his hand on it as it enters area.
That is a good counter from Wolfsburg but Koo sends Schafer out far too wide, so the defence are able to get back and deal with his cross into the area.
This is far too pedestrian from Bayern. They are not moving the ball quickly enough in midfield and it is making it easy for Wolfsburg to contain them. Dieter Hecking looks to have set his team up very well tactically this afternoon.
That was close! Robben puts a low free kick into the area which bounces past everyone and almost creeps in at the far post. Benaglio, who was unsighted, must have been relieved to see that go behind for a goal kick.
What a chance! A quick free kick enable Mandzukic to get on the ball inside the area but as he waits for it to catch up with him the Wolfsburg defenders are able to get back. He looks to square for Robben at the back post but Rodriguez intervenes and sends it behind for a corner.
Muller wins a free kick on the right as he gets in behind Trasch but is fouled by the right-back. Ribery whips the ball into the area but Benaglio comes to claim it under minimal pressure.
The Wolves have been extremely compact so far and it looks as though Bayern are going to have most of their luck down the wings. The hosts will need to step up the tempo if they are to make the most of those spaces this afternoon.
SAVE FROM BEANGLIO! Bayern finally exploit some space behind Rodriguez and it is Muller who gets in there. From an acute angle he looks to thump a low effort for the far post but the keeper gets a foot to it.
Yellow Card Diego Ribas
Now Diego picks up a booking for himself! Credit to the Brazilian for pressing Bayern on the edge of their own box, but he leaves a foot in on Lahm and concedes a needless free kick.
Yellow Card Bastian Schweinsteiger
That is a stupid booking to pick up for Schweinsteiger. He shoves Diego in the back of the head and the Brazilian falls to the deck. The Bayenr man appears rather frustrated at his lack of involvement so far.
It has been a rather scrappy game up to this point with a number of simple passes being made erroneously. Wolfsburg are simply soaking up the pressure and looking to break, and in fact they have had the best chance so far.
Wolfsburg have conceded at least two goals in their previous four games on their travels. So far there have been very little sign of a goal being scored here, though. Hopefully the action will step up shortly.
This game has been all about set pieces so far! Another free kick is whipped in by Robben and Schweinsteiger again meets it at the back post. He seems caught in two minds as to whether he should knock it back across or go for goal. He ends up failing to do either.
Another corner from the visitors causes some problems for Guardiola's men. Dante manages to head the initial delivery away, but only as far as Schafer. The Wolfsburg man shoots first time but fails to control his effort and direct it on target.
Wolfsburg are doing well at defending so far. The sheer numbers they get back are making it difficult for Bayern to break through. However, the Wolves need to be more assured on the ball as they have been giving it away too easily.
Bayern look to probe down the left but Wolfsburg get every man behind the ball in their final third to repel the attack. The hosts are forced to try the other side but eventually lose the momentum in their move.
...Diego puts a dangerous cross into the box but Alaba heads it away at the back post. Wolfsburg are going to need to make the most of chances like that as they have barely got out of their own half so far.
Boateng concedes a free kick on the far side, just outside the box, as he takes the feet of Olic away. Diego looks to fancy this one...
There has been a few overzealous challenges going in already this afternoon. Bayern win one just inside the Wolfsburg half and Robben flights it in from deep. Schweinsteiger meets it at the back post but is unable to work the keeper from close range.
GREAT SAVE!! Rodriguez sends in a corner from the left and it finds the head of Luiz Gustavo inside the area. The Brazilian got a good connection on the ball with his head, but Neuer dived to his left and managed to parry the effort aside. What a moment that would have been.
The first sign of Ribery and Alaba combining down the right does not quite work out for the hosts, but it is exciting nonetheless. Their movement is first rate but Naldo eventually gets a foot in on the left-back to halt the attack.
Dante does brilliantly to turn Koo by his own corner flag but after feeling a hand go on his back he falls to the ground. He gives a rye smile as the referee awards him a free kick.
As you would expect, Bayern have settled straight onto the ball. Wolfsburg doing their best to press high and restrict the space for the opposition as they move up the pitch.
We are under way in Munich!
Bayern again in their Oktoberfest-inspired kit this afternoon. I think they should just play in lederhosen!
The teams are making their way out onto the pitch now so kick off is just a few moments away. The Allianz Arena looks a fantastic sea of red today.
Bayern have been victorious against Wolfsburg in their previous 15 meetings in all competitions. Die Roten have also won 21 of their last 23 Bundesliga outings. The odds heavily in their favour, then, especially as Wolfsburg have lost all three of their away games in the league this season so far.
Wolfsburg bench: Grun, Ochs, Klose, Medojevic, Caligiuri, Perisic, Arnold.
Wolfsburg (4-2-3-1): Benaglio; Trasch, Naldo, Knoche, Rodriguez; Polak, Luiz Gustavo; Koo, Diego, Schafer; Olic.
Bayern bench: Starke, Van Buyten, Kirchhoff, Kroos, Gotze, Shaqiri, Pizarro.
Bayern (4-1-4-1): Neuer; Rafinha, Boateng, Dante, Alaba; Lahm; Robben, Muller, Schweinsteiger, Ribery; Mandzukic.
No real surprises from Guardiola this afternoon, but Mario Gotze and Toni Kroos both start from the bench. Philipp Lahm looks set to continue in his new holding midfield role. For the visitors, Ivica Olic and Luiz Gustavo start against their former employers.
Hello and welcome to this afternoon's live commentary on the Bundesliga meeting between Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg at the Allianz Arena. My name is Tom Webber and I am going to be guiding you through all the action today. I am hoping for a good one!
