Thanks a lot for joining Goal.com today. Make sure you stick around for Juventus - Udinese or Villarreal - Barcelona later tonight. My name is Tom Webber and it has been a pleasure, as always, to guide you through the action. Have a great evening.
On the whole Bayern probably deserved the win as Wolfsburg failed to make the most of the few chances they got. It could so easily have gone the other way though.
It's all over at the Allianz Arena and Bayern stay top for another week in the Bundesliga after a difficult victory over Wolfsburg.
90' + 2'
IT'S TWO!! ROBBEN FINISHES IT!! Bayern broke the play up well and a quick free kick finds Olic darting behind the defence. He lofts the ball over the keeper. The defender gets back and slides the ball away but it hits Robben and goes in off the Dutchman's arm. Might go down as his goal
Three minutes have been added on. The crowd are charged, this is going to be a great closing stage to the game.
Olic is almost through on goal but Robben's ball is a bit too late and offside is awarded. Bayern are close to victory now as Wolfsburg are increasingly stretched.
Mandzukic tries to be gentle with his effort but it goes straight into the wall. It hits Boateng's elbow and they are irate. They want a penalty but the referee refuses to give anything.
Another free kick is given away. This time Boateng brings Polter down. A second chance for Wolfsburg here. Is THIS the chance?
... It is rolled across to Dejagah but he is charged down and his effort is wild but goes behind for a corner.
Free kick in a dangerous area for Wolfsburg. Twenty metres from goal after a quick break sees Sio go down. Is this it? ...
Polter comes on for Wolfsburg. He has scored in both his previous two appearances to give Wolfsburg a 1-0 win in the Bundesliga. Can he be a super-sub again and grab a late equaliser?
A bit of a scramble ensues on the edge of the Wolfsburg area and Luiz Gustavo charges in and wins the ball. He tries to chip it to the back post and sends it over the bar. Tried to be a bit too special there.
FANTASTIC SAVE BY BENAGLIO!! Ribery is all alone on the edge of the area he takes a touch and shoots at the near post but Benaglio gets down well and sends it behind. Hasebe's sliding challenge may just have put the winger off there.
Mandzukic does well to hold off about four Bayern players and lay it off to Koo. Rafinha comes in with a crunching tackle on the midfielder and earns a booking. Another chance for Wolfsburg to put the ball in the box.
You get the feeling that while it is only 1-0 Wolfsburg have a chance to get back in this. Rodriguez's free kick finds Sio in the box but he can't turn it goalwards.
Ribery has absolutely tormented Wolfsburg right side this afternoon but his end product just has not been there. And I really can't abide players in short sleeves and gloves!
Bayern have possession now and try to get the Wolfsburg players running around but they give it away and the pressure is relieved for a moment. But here they come again...
Sio makes his first touch after being on the pitch for about six minutes. Some good play here from the visitors, they are stepping up their passing game in the final third and using the ball well to drag the Bayern defence about.
Wolfsburg have gone off the boil a bit since going behind. They don't look quite as lethal but with 20 minutes left there is still time for them to get another chance to level.
A GREAT CHANCE GOES BEGGING!! Great build up from Wolfsburg down the left. Dejagah puts a great ball in but Koo fails to control at the back post just 10 metres from goal. It allows the defence to get back and the chance to level vanishes.
Giovanni-Guy Yann Sio
Bayern have made almost 400 passes today with an accuracy rating of 90 per cent while Wolfsburg have 70 per cent completion from just over 100 passes.
Dejagah whips it in well but it runs all the way through without anyone getting a touch on it. You have to gamble on those kinds of balls when you are behind.
Wolfsburg win a free kick in the Bayern half. Can they equalise with this?
Hasebe has got to be disappointed with himself. A moment of frustration led to the free kick and now we have a goal from every game in today's Bundesliga. There will need to be a change in tactic from Magath now.
GOOOOAAAALLLL!!! GOMEZ!! I said he could pop up and poach a goal and he has! Kroos' ball in is met by Gomez unmarked, his header is blocked but he smashes the ball in at the second chance to give the visitors the lead.
Yellow CardMakoto Hasebe
Ribery again causing problems down the left and he gets the beating of Hasebe. The Japanese pulls him back and concedes a free kick right by the byeline. Can they make anything of it?
Wolfsburg have every man behind the ball when Bayern hold possession close to the half way line the middle is so congested that the hosts just can't find the space to probe and run into.
That could have been the opening goal! Rafinha is bundled over down Wolfsburg's left by Mandzukic who plays a ball behind Boateng for Schafer. He cuts it back but Koo and Dejagah are in the same area and neither of them pick up the ball with Neuer out of his goal. Waster chance there.
Muller is having a bit more of an influence in the second half but the visitors are becoming wise to the switch of flanks that Bayern are opting for with almost every attack.
Bayern have set out once to really go for this game. They are going to have to stay positive despite the solidity that Wolfsburg are showing in the middle.
Bayern have a free kick and are send it into the Wolfsburg box but nothing comes of it.
Yellow CardMarco Russ
The second half is underway!
The teams are back out on the pitch. The second half is moments away. Will Bayern find a way through? Let's find out!
Not long away from the second half now. Stephen Gibson asked via twitter: "Do you think Bayern will break down Wolfsburg and should Olic come on?" - I think they will find a way through Robben and Ribery look far too potent. Gomez should get another half hour at least, he is always likely to poach a goal.
Time for a quick sandwich and hot beverage. Make sure you are back in 10 minutes for the second half. Send me your thoughts via twitter @thwebber and I'll stick the best ones up in the second half!
Ribery and Robben have both had the better of their full-backs but their still has not been enough clear-cut chances.
It's half time at the Allianz Arena in what has been a somewhat indifferent first 45 minutes. Wolfsburg have been solid and Bayern just can't break them down. Gomez really should have scored midway through but failed to test Benaglio when one-on-one.
It eventually reaches Mandzukic who breaks down the left. His ball in is met by a failed clearance giving the Croatian another sight of goal. His shot is blocked at the last moment by Badstuber and the last chance of the half is gone.
Schweinsteiger tries to turn on the ball but is well tackled by Hasebe who launches a Wolfsburg counter.
Another Bayern player goes after a penalty claim for the hosts. Ribery was brought down by Rodriguez and it looked a certain penalty. The ref gave nothing and play has carried on much to the fans disdain.
A GREAT CHANCE GOES JUST WIDE!! Ribery has been a real menace down the right and somehow gets one-on-one with Mandzukic. He pulls it back for Muller and his shot takes a deflection off of Marco Rus and goes behind.
That would have been a cracking goal. Ribery switches the play from left to right with a lofted ball. He finds Robben on the edge of the box who attempts a first time volley. He doesn't quite catch it right and it is comfortably saved by Benaglio. Reminiscent of his cracker against Manchester United a few years ago.
Another counter from Wolfsburg and Hasebe's ball almost finds Dejagah who could have been onside. Badstuber gets a touch to keep it safe though. Bayern then go up the other end and Muller goes down under what looked a certain free kick. The referee gives nothing though.
Nice play by Bayern down the right flank and Ribery comes over to join his team mate Robben. The two link well but Ribery's cutback is intercepted and the ball is eventually cleared.
Bayern are going back to how they started the game and looking to control possession. They are far too deep though as Wolfsburg close the space well. The fans are starting to get a bit impatient and there are whistles from some sections of the crowd.
Rafinha sends a ball down the right but Muller is offside. It is still 0-0 here and there have not been many sights of goal.
Felix Magath can be pleased with the way his team have performed so far. They look relatively solid but will they be able to hold out for the full 90 minutes? Let me know your thoughts via twitter @thwebber.
Jiracek gives the ball away far too easily in midfield and Schweinsteiger looks to find Ribery on the left but this time Trasch intercepts and Jiracek's blushes are spared.
Mandzukic looks to break following a Bayern corner but Badstuber has the Croatian covered and gets between the striker and the ball to play the ball back to Neuer.
Great run from Ribery down the left as he skins Trasch and then Chris. His ball in is good but Bayern just can't work the space to get a shot off.
It has been pretty even so far. Bayern look more dangerous but Wolfsburg have also threatened from the counter. The visitors' front two have looked a bit isolated though.
WHAT A MISS!! Great dinked ball by Schweinsteiger and Gomez springs the offside trap. His first touch sees the ball loop up and as Benaglio rushes out he seems to bottle it and hardly makes any contact with the ball when one-on-one. Real let off for the visitors.
Ribery surges down the left and squeezes a drilled ball into the box but Lopes is there and clears the ball away.
The game has hit a bit of a lull now. Russ sends a long ball up to Dejagah but Boateng is going to win that every time. Bit one-dimensional from the visitors.
Wolfsburg counter but Hasebe's ball is behind his team mates in the box. They have looked fairly dangerous on the counter, Bayern will have to watch out for that.
There is no denying the quality in the Bayern attack. Robben and Ribery both look very energetic on the ball in the early stages but they are yet to fashion a clear cut chance and Wolfsburg are holding their own.
Lahm goes in a bit high on Hasebe and Wolfsburg wins a free kick. They send it in and almost gift the Wolves a goal as Lahm's pass to the keeper falls short but Dejagah slides to reach it and hits it across the face of the goal
Another great diagonal ball from Schweinsteiger out to Robben. He beats Rodriguez with one touch as the left-back slips. He drives to the byeline but his cutback finds a green shirt and is cleared.
IT'S IN!! But it's disallowed! Ribery strikes the ball on the volley and Benaglio gets down to it to save. The rebound falls to Gomez who heads in but the whistle had already gone and the goal is ruled out.
Mandzukic and Dejagah pass the ball between them a few times as they push down the left. They look to branch out to the right but there's no one there.
Schweinsteiger is already showing a great array of passing, this time he finds Ribery on the left. Lahm drives in and lays off to Kroos who goes down on the edge of the box but nothing is given.
Wolfsburg have sent a couple of long balls up the pitch already but there has been no one on the end of it either time. They can't keep that up or they will just give possession straight back to Bayern and invite them to attack again.
Bayern have set out to control possession from the off. They knock it around a bit and Schweinsteiger spreads a lovely ball out to Robben on the right but he can't beat Rodriguez and they lose the ball.
And we're underway at the Allianz Arena! Let's hope for a few goals in the next 90 minutes.
The teams have emerged and kick off is just a few moments away. Wolfsburg are hoping to pick up their first win over Bayern since the 5-1 drubbing they gave them on their march to their first ever Bundesliga title.
There is an overcast sky above the Allianz Arena today but that has not stopped the fans turning out. As ever, an impressive crowd will be there to witness what should be an enthralling game.
Bayern also have been fairly solid at home in the league. Of their nine previous games they have won seven but suffered two defeats; one to Borussia Dortmund the other to Borussia Monchengladbach.
Further to that, following their opening day win away to Koln, Wolfsburg have only manage to pick up one point on the road in the following eight away games.
The statistics seem to point to a Bayern win today. Wolfsburg have only picked up a single point at the Allianz Arena from a possible 42 in previous Bundesliga outings.
Wolfsburg: Benaglio; Trasch, Russ, Felipe, Rodriguez; Hasebe, Chris, Jiracek, Schafer; Dejagah, Mandzukic. And on the bench for the visitors sit: Hitz, Josue, Koo, Salihamidzic, Orozco, Polter and Sio.
Bayern (4-2-3-1): Neuer; Rafinha, Boateng, Badstuber, Lahm; Schweinsteiger, Kroos; Robben, Muller, Ribery; Gomez. On the bench for the hosts are: Butt, Breno, Luiz Gustavo, Pranjic, Tymoshchuk, Alaba and Olic.
Team news is on the way. As always you can get involved via twitter. Send me your thoughts and predictions @thwebber.
Bayern currently sit top of the Bundesliga on goal difference but hold a 14 point lead over today's opposition. A win is crucial for the hosts following last weeks defeat to Borussia Monchengladbach. Wolfsburg can only rise to 8th today but it would provide a great footing for a push for Europe.
