G. Agbonlahor 7'
R. Lamah 36'
Thank you for joining me today. I have been Hayden Gribble and I hope you see 2013 out in style. Until next time, goodnight!
FULL-TIME - ASTON VILLA 1-1 SWANSEA. Paul Lambert's team have to make do with a draw after being under the cosh for much of the game and his side are booed off the pitch for the third match in a row. Agbonglahor put the Villans in the lead early on but Lamah equalised in an open first half that petered out after the break.
90' + 3'
SIDE NETTING! A long ball finds Kozak, who heads down for Agbonglahor but the angle is too tight and the striker finds the wrong side of the netting.
90' + 2'
Davies gets forward again for the Swans but Albrighton just checks his run and puts the left-back off an effort that rolls out for a goal kick.
Yellow CardKarim El Ahmadi
There will be FOUR minutes of added on time.
SAVE! Delph pulls a show stopper out of his locker from range but Tremmel is equal to it.
There is nearly a mix up at the back for the Villans as Guzan and Baker clatter into each other. Luckily for the hosts, they get away with it.
Yellow CardCiaran Clark
YELLOW CARD - CLARKE - ASTON VILLA.
STAT ATTACK: Swansea have had 76 per cent possession in this game!
SUBSTITUTION FOR SWANSEA. Bony is replaced by Alvaro.
Villa have decided to put all eleven men behind the ball and try and soak up the Swans' attack. Will they counter successfully?
We have ten minutes to go plus stoppage time and it's getting scrapier by the minute. The Swans German keeper Tremmel has had such a quiet afternoon I wonder if he is still on the pitch!
SUBSTITUTION FOR VILLA: Weimann makes way for Albrighton.
STAT ATTACK: Before today, Swansea had lost eight of their nine previous league trips to Villa Park, failing to score in all eight defeats. Their solitary win was by 2-0 on 2 January 2012.
Yellow CardÁngel Rangel
YELLOW CARD FOR RANGEL - SWANSEA.
SAVE! Bony and Pozuelo both go for the same loose ball after some good work from Shelvey in the host's penalty area, but Guzan comes out to pluck the ball from the air.
Shelvey tries to gain control of a pass that is getting away from him but his technique is poor and rolls out of play for a throw-in, much to the ironic cheers of the Villa fans. Sums up this second half, if I'm honest.
OVER! Agbonglahor fires a wild shot over the bar. Villa fans are still looking frustrated in that Holte End.
Karim El Ahmadi
SUBSTITUTION FOR VILLA: Bacuna comes off for El Ahmadi.
Yellow CardLeandro Bacuna
YELLOW CARD FOR BACUNA - ASTON VILLA.
These next 20 minutes may become very scrappy indeed. Villa are resorting to the long ball tactic.
SUBSTITUTION FOR SWANSEA. Pozuelo replaces goalscorer Lamah.
SHOT! The Villa Park faithful are roaring thier side forward as the hosts look to go ahead again in this match but Shelvey jangles some nerves with a deflected shot that is cleared by Baker.
There has certainly been a lack of chances in this half. Both teams surely cannot be happy with just a point?
SUBSTITUTE FOR VILLA. Kozak comes on for Tonev.
A rare counter attack from the hosts results in a very poor ball into the box from Weimann. This has not been a glittering performance again from the Midlanders.
Clarke blocks Lamah's cross and puts it out for a corner on the left-hand-side. Villa manage to get the ball away.
SUBSTITUTE FOR SWANSEA. Rangel comes on for Tiendalli.
TIPPED OVER! De Guzman lines a free-kick up from 30 yards and manages to draw a save from Guzan.
Paul Lambert is standing on the touchline with his arms crossed. There is still no real reaction from his side who need to probe the visitor's defence with more purpose.
The final ball is the only thing that has let down the Swans today as Hernandez overhits his cross to Bony and gives possession away.
Swansea get us back underway!
The teams are about to make their way back onto the pitch. Who will win this entertaining encounter?
HALFTIME - ASTON VILLA 1-1 SWANSEA. The Swans have been fantastic in this game and responded well following Agbonglahor's early strike - a goal that was totally against the run of play. A small chorus of boos emitts from the stands at the break as the Villa fans are clearly unhappy with their side's performance so far.
There will be ONE minute of added on time.
Shelvey is inches away from meeting with a fantastic Hernandez pass that would have seen him through on goal. Villa are rocking. What can Paul Lambert do at the break to inspire his side?
STAT ATTACK: Aston Villa have lost four successive league matches. They have not lost five games in a row since January 2001. (BBC Sport)
As we head towards the break all the action in the last few minutes has been in the Villa penalty area. Michael Laudrup will be pleased with how his side have not let their heads drop after that early goal - can they get another one before halftime?
Yellow CardRoland Lamah
SWANSEA BOOKING - LAMAH. The Belgian is booked for celebrating with the fans after that goal.
SWANSEA LEVEL IT! Lamah scores his first goal in the Premier League, meeting Hernandez' superb cross on the left and heading Swansea back into the game. To be fair, that has been coming!
CLOSE! Oh, it's inches wide from de Guzman. Baker's poor clearance falls to the Dutchman who slices it wide.
SAVE! Hernandez has switched sides and breaks into the box but he is a tad selfish and instead of squaring the ball to Bony he plants it right in the gloves of Guzan.
WIDE! Westwood nicks possession off a lazy touch from Canas and the midfielder tries to bend his shot in the top corner. Unfortunately for him, however, the ball ends up in the stands. Villa's attack is definitely waking up!
ANOTHER BLOCKED EFFORT! For this first time since the home side's goal, Weimann drives at the visitors with purpose but his long range strike hits Chico Flores and loops out for a throw-in.
BLOCKED! Lamah takes aim from 20 yards out but there are too many Villa shirts back defending their lead. The Swans continue to knock on the door!
STAT ATTACK: Swansea are enduring a four-match winless streak (D2, L2), their worst run of the season. (BBC Sport)
Swansea are really building the pressure with yet another corner. Guzan is fouled in the melee and the home defence can breathe a sigh of relief.
WHAT A CHANCE! Ben Davies has his head in his hands. A corner makes it's way to the left-back, whose free header bounces into the ground and over the bar. The Swans should be level!
Shelvey finds himself in space on the right flank and chooses to put the ball on his left foot to swing a cross in, but the youngster overhits it, much to the annoyance of teammate Bony.
CHANCE! Hernandez twists in the penalty area and manages to get a low shot away but Guzan smothers the effort.
Jonjo Shelvey makes a full-blooded challenge on Delph to put the ball out for a throw, and the midfielder almost in the stands!
Guzan has to be sharp off his line to mop up an intended through ball for de Guzman. Despite falling behind, it is the Swans who look like the better side!
STAT ATTACK: 33 - Gabriel Agbonlahor has now scored against 33 of the 34 teams he has faced in the PL, only not scoring v Crystal Palace (1 game). Angel. (OptaJoe)
The Villa faithful are right behind their team today as they applaud their first corner. It is sent in low but Weimann's flick is off target and a goal kick is awarded.
Michael Laudrup's charges come flooding forward to cancel out that early strike but Clarke and Baker stand firm against Bony, who fails to meet a de Guzman cross.
GOAL! Agbonglahor gives the home side the perfect start with a superb finish. Weimann slots the ball through to his captain who finishes low into the bottom corner from inside the area. The striker celebrates with the bench as Villa Park erupts!
It's the Swans who win the first corner of the game and a combination of Williams and Bony makes life difficult for Villa keeper Guzman, but the man between the sticks collects the loose ball.
Paul Lambert is looking slightly pensive in the dugout. How he will want to silence the boo-boys today with a win.
It is a really open start for both teams as an early delivery from Rodriguez is dealt with by the host's defence.
We are underway with Villa kicking from right to left.
The teams emerge out of the tunnel at an expectant Villa Park. Who will come out on top today?
Meanwhile Swans boss Michael Laudrup has made seven changes to the side who lost their festive fixture 1-0 to Chelsea. Wilfried Bony, Jonathan de Guzman and Pablo Hernandez all return to the starting line-up.
After the Boxing Day defeat to Crystal Palace Villans boss Paul Lambert makes three changes to his side. Leandro Bacuna, Aleksandar Tonev and Ashley Westwood all start.
Today's match referee is Roger East.
