Demonstrated his flair for the 'big' saves with his first-half parry of Dembele's fierce strike and maintained his concentration with another commanding display. Grows in authority by the game and could do little about Fulham's goal.
Made the most telling contributions of the game in what was a rare off-day for the centre-back. Gifted Fulham an early xmas present with an own goal that should have been comfortably avoided but made amends with his superb header.
The more commanding of Arsenal's two centre-backs but was sacrified in the last 20 minutes as Wenger dropped Song back and went all-out attack.
Bolstered by an excellent early inteception to thwart a goal-bound rocket, the Swiss' performance was a far cry from his horror display at right-back against Chelsea at the turn of the month. Nearly scored the equaliser with a header.
Veered between the very good and not-so-good. Linked up well with his team-mates and got into some excellent positions but was frequently wasteful and blazed over Arsenal's best first-half opportunity. Subbed with 20 minutes left.
His performance gleamed with authority and power. Kept a close eye on the lively Dembele and was still able to maintain his influence in Arsenal's atttacks. Dropped to centre-back for the last 20 minutes.
Struggled to handle the tricky Ruiz early on as he did not know whether to go tight or back off the winger and was booked in the first half when he dived in. Made some telling runs foward in the second half.
Lively as a whippet in the opening 10 minutes, when he had the ball in the net but was rightly judged to be marginally off-side. Was on the periphery on the game thereafter until his number came up with 15 minutes left.
R. van Persie
Looked leggy in the first half but far more dynamic after the break when he had a shot cleared off the line by Baird and was heavily involved in Arsenal's late rally.
No footballing brain? The criticism of the watching Chris Waddle has never seemed so inappropriate. The England man led the way with an outstanding first-half display lit up by his rocket-fuelled runs and excellent deliveries. Continued to be Arsenal's most creative force and another fine cross was powered in by Vermaelen for the equaliser.
Against the team he came so close to joining 15 months ago he made two crucial reflex saves, from Ramsey in the first half and Djourou from point-blank range in the second.
Fulham were always going to need a commanding display from their giant centre-back in such a difficult assignment and he provided it.
Saved his team's bacon with a brilliant clearance on the line from van Persie to stop Arsenal going 1-0 up after an hour.
The last thing a 31-year-old left-back who was never quick in the first place needs is an opponent as confident and in form as Walcott. The Norwegian could not live with the winger in the first half but showed his match-winning knack remains by ghosting into the box to collect Murphy's cross and force Vermaeln into an own goal.
Outstanding display by the former Gunner at the heart of Fulham's defence, Through his body on the line with some telling interceptions.
Influential display by the Fulham skipper. Created his team's goal with a crafty ball that spotted Riise's excellent run into the box.
Energetic display in the anchorman role but did not always track some the runs of Arsenal's midfielders.
At the heart of Fulham's best moves in his role as the most attacking of the team's three central midfielders. Came close to opening the scoring with his left-foot rocket shortly before half-time.
Got in some good positions but his decision-making was poor. Helped Riise by doubling up on Walcott after the break.
Superb with his back to goal, including one brilliant turn that outfoxed Vermaeln in the first half. Subbed late on.
Showed some encouraging signs after a difficult start to his Fulham career with some skillful touches on the right flank. Caused Santos some concern but faded after the break and subbed with 15 minutes left.
- 21 Ł. Fabiański
- 6 L. Koscielny
- 30 Y. Benayoun
A lively and energetic cameo from the lanky Frenchman bodes well for the future.
- E. Frimpong
Joined van Persie up front for the last 10 minutes.
Carried the ball forward well but, once again, his final ball or finishing let him down.
