Prayag United will look to end their season on a high as they eye a top three spot. With 38 points from 24 outings, they will have to win their remaining two fixtures to give themselves a decent chance of achieving the said target.
Ranti Martins has been their talisman this season and shall be keen to add a few more goals to his tally. The players will be motivated to beat their opposition on Friday given that they suffered a 3-2 loss in the reverse fixture which eventually led to Sanjoy Sen been given the boot.
On the other side, Shillong Lajong FC with 25 points have just about managed to pull away from the relegation zone after their 2-0 win over Mumbai FC.
The North eastern outfit have proved to be a more or less transformed side in the league after the January window when they changed the foreign players in their line-up and reaped the benefits. Coach Thangboi Singto will hope that his side's poor away form changes before the end of the season.
Prayag United SC: James Singh, Sangram Mukherjee, Tapan Maity and Carlos Hernandez are all injured.
Shillong Lajong FC: Thangboi Singto has confirmed of no injury worries and as such has the option to choose his best 11 for the tie.
