Moreover, winning the IFA Shield against East Bengal earlier this month will have done a great deal of good to the team's morale as they will be raring to have a go to continue their dominance over the Red and Gold. It must be remembered that it was Prayag United who ended their undefeated start to the I-League this season with a 1-0 victory.
With Churchill Brothers having failed to register three points against Salgaocar, Trevor Morgan and his men will be pumped up to get a positive result on Friday which shall see them go level on points with the league leaders, who though will have a game in hand.
This s indeed a golden opportunity for East Bengal to capitalize and the team will also be reinvigorated to take revenge against their bogey team in the league.
With the Goan side being too reliant on Beto who has been ruled out for the next three outings, the going will certainly be tough for Churchill as they have to face Mohun Bagan twice with the latter desperate to avoid the drop.
Morgan, the shrewd tactician he is, will be aware of the above and shall hope that his boys give him the result which further put pressure on Churchill Brothers at the top.
East Bengal: Edeh Chidi has recovered from injury and will be expected to start. Trevor Morgan will have the full squad at his disposal.
Prayag United: Gouramangi Moirangthem, Deepak Mandal, Malswamtulunga and Carlos Hernandez are all expected to start for this big match after only making the bench last time around.
