Salgaocar FC will be looking to get their season back on track after a disappointing loss to Sporting Clube de Goa earlier in the week. This, especially after doing well to pick up six points from two games in February, before the league entered a break.
The Green and Whites, currently with 20 points from as many matches matches, are still not completely out of danger of facing the drop. Hence a win on Saturday is crucial in their bid for survival.
|Josimar's absence could hand an advantage to Mumbai FC
Besides Josimar missing the match for having picked a red card in the last match, Mumbai FC could might as well look to exploit the opponent's goalpost without the stellar Karanjit Singh who was also sent off on Tuesday.
Khalid Jamil's men have other-wise had a decent run that just about keeps them in the top half of the table. Their away record has been deplorable given that they have just managed to eke out one win in 8 away matches this season.
Surely Mumbai FC will look to change that stat when they take on Salgaocar on Saturday.
Salgaocar FC: The Goans will be missing two key personnel in striker Josimar and goalkeeper Karanjit Singh, who will serve a match ban for picking a red card each in Salgaocar's last fixture. Milagres Gonsalves could be seen as the next best option in attack alongside Gabriel Obatola. Randeep Singh is also suspended for the tie.
Mumbai FC: Midfielder James Singh is set to return from his suspension that would strengthen Mumbai FC.
