  PREVIEW

Going three games without a win is unusual for Dempo SC. The reigning I-League champions have failed to score in the last three matches and have picked up only 2 points out of a possible 9 which saw them slip into fourth place after being on top of the table only a few weeks ago.

Armando Colaco's side now face United Sikkim who have unfortunately been on the wrong end of some disappointing results against Churchill Brothers and Mumbai FC after putting up a spirited performance each time. Dempo will have to sort out their attacking issues, something which was never a problem associated with the Goans, if they are to come away with maximum points from this fixture.

Can United Sikkim walk home with three points?

Although United Sikkim are languishing at the bottom of the table, coach Nathan Hall will have reason to be pleased with his squad. The Australian has instilled a fighting spirit into the team that has seen them go toe-to-toe with the likes of Pune FC and Churchill Brothers even though they did not end up winning the games.

Last week's narrow defeat at the hands of Churchill is the third in 6 games for the North-Easterners and will look to change that stat when they face Armando Colaco's Dempo SC. The Goans are undergoing somewhat of a bad patch themselves and this would be the ideal opportunity for the Sikkim club to hurt them more.

New signing John Landa looked at home against the Red Machine last week and will be surely in line for a start against another Goan opponent.

  TEAM NEWS

Dempo SC: Armando Colaco will be without veteran Mahesh Gawli who is out to a lower limb injury sustained during the game against Shillong Lajong FC. New signing Prathamesh Maulingkar is in line for a start alongside Cresson Antao in the heart of the Dempo defence. Peter Carvalho and Ryuji Sueoka are still nursing injuries while Koko Sakibo, Clifford Miranda and Anthony Pereira are carrying knocks but are expected to start.

United Sikkim FC:
Nathan Hall will need to make a few changes to the team that lost to Churchill Brothers last weekend as defender Anwar Ali and striker Budhiram Tudu are reportedly injured, while Linekar Machado may also be a doubtful starter for the Snow Lions.
