Four games into the season, and Mumbai are still looking for their first points of the season. The current basement club have made one of their worst starts to an I-League season since their promotion. A win though, could change fortunes dramatically, as their opponents, Sporting are just three places above them on three points.
|Mumbai will have to be more clinical in front of goal
Khalid Jamil's side lost narrowly by a solitary goal to Salgaocar, against whom they did play good football only to be let down by some wayward finishing. With Evans Quao set to return from suspension, expect the Mumbai defense to get stronger. Although where Abhishek Yadav will be played is probably a mystery, as he has been previously played in different positions in attack and defense on various occasions.
Fresh from a 3-1 mauling at the hands of Odafa Okolie and Mohun Bagan, Ekendra Singh will look to get his side back on track after a dismal start to the season that has seen them pick up just 1 win from their four matches.
|Sporting will be gunning for all three points
He will not look to tinker too much with the side that lined up in the previous gameweek, trusting players who have shown glimpses of what they are actually capable of. Also injuries to Adil Khan, Rojen Singh and Keita Boubacar limits the coach's options. However with Mumbai FC not being in a good run of form, the Flaming Oranje will look to use the home side's lack of confidence to their advantage, to gain all three points
Mumbai FC: No fresh injury concerns. Evans Quao will be returning from suspension to bolster the Mumbai defense.
Sporting Clube de Goa: Injuries to Adil Khan, Rojen Singh and Keita Boubacar leave Ekendra Sen with a serious headache ahead of this vital clash.
