  Could perhaps have done better for Holland's second goal, but couldn't anything about the other three goals he conceded. Occasionally looked shaky on long range strikes as Clasie and Sneijder tested him.

  Roland Juhasz Flop of the Match

  The Anderlecht defender had a poor game as he needed foul after foul to shut out Van Persie. Lack of focus on his behalf resulted in the 4-1 as he failed to organise his defence and/or mark Huntelaar.

  Vanczak did not have the best of games as his direct opponent scored twice and got an assist to his name as well. Beaten too easily on more than one occasion.

  Got an early chance to add his name to the score sheet, but headed over after a cross from Koman. Had a disappointing game in midfield as he could not keep up with Sneijder and Strootman.

  The experienced midfielder won his side an early penalty after going down following a Clasie challenge. Was generally second-best to the Feyenoord man, though, as his injury still seemed to hinder him.

  Hardly got himself involved, and was not up for the task when he got the chance to help Hungary back in the game in the 58th minute.

  Returned to the starting XI following Tim Krul’s elbow injury, and put in a more than decent performance. Could not do anything about Hungary’s goal and showed his class with a fantastic reflex to deny Priskin.

  Bruno Martins Indi

  Martins Indi capped his third international appearance with his first goal as he restored Oranje’s lead in the 19th minute. Hardly set a foot wrong all game as the Feyenoord starlet once more impressed.

  The 18-year-old has received his fair share of criticism in recent weeks for his tendency to charge forward too often, but Willems put in a disciplined performance in Budapest. Solid at the back and hardly lost possession.

  Van Rhijn featured from the start this time and did not disappoint at right back. Hardly troubled in his defensive duties as he kept Dzsudzsak quiet, while he happily charged forward whenever possible.

  Lost sight of Priskin once in the second half, but was bailed out by Stekelenburg. Won the majority of his challenges and always looked comfortable on the ball.

  Unfortunate to concede an early spot kick after a light foul on Gera, but remained unperturbed as he put in a good outing. Much more confident on the ball than versus Turkey, and always looked for the attacking solution first.

  Strootman played in a more advanced role than he’s used to at PSV, and struggled a bit in the opening 45 minutes. Improved after the interval until he was replaced by Maher.

  Sneijder was sloppy in possession before the break, but lead by example as he always worked hard. Set up Martins Indi for Oranje’s second goal. Unfortunate not to find the net as his powerful long range strike only hit the cross-bar.

  Excellent start to the game as he provided the assist for Lens’ early opener. Narsingh caused his direct opponent all kinds of trouble with his pace in the remainder of the game.

  Van Persie failed to score, but the Manchester United star was involved in the opener, and was always available. Replaced at half-time with a thigh injury.

  Jeremain Lens Top of the Match

  Lens was only a late inclusion due to Robben’s injury, but the versatile attacker was simply unstoppable. Scored twice, as well as setting up Huntelaar for the 4-1. Could have had his first hat-trick for Oranje with a bit more luck.
