AVB will be delighted that his side managed to grab an equaliser here. Everton looked set to take all three points back to Merseyside before Sigurdsson poked home Adebayor's shot. The point keeps Spurs two points above Arsenal who are fourth. Can they stay on track for next season's Champions League?

2-2 probably represents a fair scoreline here from an entertaining game between too good sides. Tottenham ensure they sustain their top four challenge, but is Everton's over? they have 52 points, six less than Spurs, but with a game in hand.

90′ +4
So much tension here as Everton earn a free kick in a dangerous area. Baines plays it in but Lloris catches with ease. And that's the last action of the game. It ends all square.

90′ +3
Walker powers past Baines, he's been getting some joy down the flank. The ball eventually comes off Distin for a Spurs corner but Anichebe wins the header and Everton can clear.

90′ +1
Adebayor finds himself in space in the box but can't quite fashion a shot, Everton eventually clear. The ball finds its way to Jelavic but the Croatian can't take advantage either. Still 2-2.

89′
And we've got four minutes added time here. Plenty of time for either side to grab a winner with the play constantly switching from end to end.

89′
Anichebe almost grabs the winner for Everton! The big man is put one-on-one with Lloris but is foiled by the Frenchan's trailing leg. Should really have scored.

88′
Substitution Scott Parker Thomas Carroll

87′
Goal Gylfi Sigurdsson

87′
A positive run from Walker down the right ended with the Spurs defender finding Adebayor in the box. The striker had too much time to pick his spot and his shot rebounded off the post straight into the path of Sigurdsson who puts the ball into the empty net.

87′
GOAL! Sigurdsson grabs the equaliser for Spurs! How big could that goal be?

86′
Substitution Kevin Mirallas Steven Naismith

85′
Steven Naismith is on for the goalscorer Mirallas who earns a brilliant reception from the fans. Naismith much more of a worker than the Belgian though and Moyes clearly happy with the scoreline as it stands.

84′
Yellow Card Clint Dempsey

84′
Clint Dempsey picks up a yellow card for simulation after going down rather too easily on the edge of the box. No complaints from the American who was barely touched by either Baines or Distin.

83′
Anichebe fires in a powerful shot which rises over the Tottenham crossbar. Spurs need to be careful they don't concede another here as they push on in search for an equaliser.

82′
Yellow Card Kevin Mirallas

81′
Mirallas picks up the first booking of the game for a clip on the heels of Scott Parker. Ironic cheers aplenty from the Tottenham fans.

80′
Adebayor goes close! Howard is equal to the big man's effort though and takes his time with a goal-kick soon after.. Everton look happy to settle for 2-1.

79′
Andre Mariner is hardly endearing himself to the Spurs fans here. Some rather odd decisions from the official.

77′
Taken by Sigurdsson and headed behind for a Spurs corner which eventually finds its way to Huddlestone. His shot is deflected out for a throw in which goes Everton's way.

76′
Gibson brings down Parker in a dangerous area. Free-kick Spurs...

75′
Substitution Mousa Dembélé Tom Huddlestone

75′
Dembele is off for Spurs. The fans don't seem happy about that one as Tom Huddlestone takes to the field in his place. Slightly odd decision there from AVB.

73′
Plenty of pressure from Spurs but Everton earn some respite when Walker pushes Baines to the floor after losing possesion over on the right hand side.

72′
Anichebe plays in Jelavic, but he is offside. Unfortunate for Everton as the Croatian would have been through on goal. Spurs need to be careful.

69′
Spurs creative trio of Dempsey, Holtby and Sigurdsson displaying wonderful understanding here as the American curls a shot just wide of the left post.

68′
Anichebe doing a good job of bringing his team-mates into play. Almost manages to turn one into the path of the onrushing Mirallas but, fortunately for Spurs, they manage to clear. Would be very unwise to afford the Belgian that much space again.

64′
More appeals for a Tottenham penalty. Suspicions of handball from the goalscorer Kevin Mirallas but waved away by the referee. Spurs fans are outraged.

63′
An Everton win here will put them just three points behind Spurs in an extremely tight race for the top four. David Moyes will be desperate for his side to hang on to their slender advantage.

61′
Good effort again from Dempsey who fires just wide after a nice pass from Parker plays him in. Can Spurs grab an equaliser?

57′
Dempsey fires in a shot from outside the area but can't trouble Howard. Spurs desperately seeking a way back into this one.

54′
Spurs almost hit back instantly but Dembele's deflected shot is well saved by Howard.

53′
Assist Victor Anichebe

53′
Goal Kevin Mirallas
GOAL! Mirallas scores a beauty! Just as Jelavic arrives for Everton Kevin Mirallas has fired the Toffees in front with another outstanding finish. Twists and turns his way past several defenders before firing past Lloris. Delightful.

52′
Substitution Ross Barkley Nikica Jelavic

52′
The arrival of Jelavic looks imminent here. Will Moyes stick with one up front and remove Anichebe? Or go all out with two up top?

50′
Baines finds a lot of space over on the left. His cross is easily cleared though. Spurs swiftly go up the other end and Jagielka has to make an excellent tackle on Adebayor.

48′
Spurs will be wary of what happened in their trip to Everton earlier in the season. They had the lead until stoppage time through Dempsey but managed to concede twice and leave Goodison empty handed. AVB will be keen to avoid a repeat late on today.

46′
And we're back underway here at White-Hart Lane. No changes for either side as Tottenham kick off and start their search for a winner.

AVB will be a little concerned at the state of his bench today. Injuries to Bale, Lennon and Defoe leave Spurs short of firepower amongst their subs. Could this be the difference between these sides late in the game?

Both managers will be looking for someone to step up to the plate in the second half in the absence of their usual dangermen. Can Jelavic come on and cause Spurs some problems? Do Sigurdsson or Dempsey have a goal in them? We shall see.

Neither side have really stamped their authority on the game so far but with Bale out for Spurs and Everton's main man Fellaini suspended is it any surprise?

That's half-time. Everton recovered well after their early set-back. Can either side go on to win this one?

45′
And Walker flies forward again down the right, feeding Adebayor. Spurs keep the pressure on and eventually Dembele's cross is put behind for a corner.

43′
Dempsey and Sigurdsson just don't offer the same width and pace and it is left to the Tottenham full-backs to get forward on the flanks.

42′
Are Spurs missing Bale? Both he and Lennon would have stretched the game considerably here with the north London side lacking something of a cutting edge.

40′
Sigurdsson hits one from just outside the area but fails to trouble Howard. Tottenham resorting to long-range efforts.

39′
Anichebe has gone down with without too much contact. Looks in real pain initially but gets back on his feet and should be able to continue.

37′
Both sides struggling to create clear-cut opportunities. Some sloppy passing in the final third letting them down.

36′
This is just Everton's 38th game of the season so far compared with Spurs who have played 47 and Chelsea a whopping 57. Will the Toffees' relative freshness help them out during the run in?

32′
Big shout for a penalty from Spurs! The ball looks to cannon into Gibson's hand in the box but although the Everton man did have his arms outstretched, the ball made no contact with them. Good call from the officials.

31′
Holtby earns another corner for Spurs as AVB's side look to turn up the pressure on their top four rivals.

29′
Tottenham certainly the most dangerous side since the equaliser. Demebele bursts into the box and his cut-back is blocked for a corner.

27′
Baines vs. Walker on that flank already shaping up to be quite some contest. Both full-backs full of energy, looking to get forward at every opportunity.

26′
This time it's Kyle Walker rampaging forward from full-back. None of the Everton defenders get tight to him and the Spurs defender gets his shot off, but can't find the target.

23′
Vertonghen looks keen to get forward from left-back here and finds himself in some space in the box. Delivers a dangerous ball but it is headed to safety.

22′
Slightly odd one from Kyle Walker as he leaps to punch the ball, looking frustrated with the pass. Lucky to not earn a yellow there the Spurs defender.

20′
Holtby puts in a cross from the right but Adebayor can't quite get on the end of it. The big striker looks in the mood today.

15′
Assist Leighton Baines

15′
Goal Phil Jagielka
GOAL! Jagielka levels for Everton with a header from a corner.

14′
And this time it's Adebayor who is deemed offside when running onto Dempsey's pass. Good defensive line from Everton.

13′
Everton starting to get at Spurs with a lovely lofted ball over the top from Darron Gibson. The offside flag is raised against Kevin Mirallas though. Free-kick Tottenham.

11′
Sloppy defending from Spurs there. Dawson's pass is cut out by Leon Osman but he can't trouble Lloris with the shot

9′
Spurs build some pressure down the right with Adebayor and Kyle Walker but it fizzles out and the ball runs out for a goal-kick.

3′
And that is not the start David Moyes will have been looking for. Adebayor slid in to turn home a delightful cross from the left from Jan Vertonghen scoring the second fastest goal of the Premier League season so far.

1′
Assist Jan Vertonghen

1′
Goal Emmanuel Adebayor
GOAL! Adebayor opens the scoring inside the first minute.

Everton will be hoping Victor Anichebe can lead the line effectively today with the misfiring Jelavic confined to the bench.

Lewis Holtby makes his third league start for Spurs slotting in behind Adebayor while Dempsey and Sigurdsson will provide the much needed width.

The big worry for Spurs will be how they cope without the double threat of Gareth Bale and Aaron Lennon who are both missing through injury.

Spurs halted their slump against Swansea last time out and are sitting pretty in third, a point ahead of Arsenal. Everton meanwhile are five points from the Champions League places but a win today, coupled with their game in hand could give the Toffees a strong position heading into the run in.

Everton: Howard, Baines, Heitinga, Distin, Jagielka, Coleman, Gibson, Barkely, Osman, Mirallas, Anichebe Subs: Mucha, Stones, Duffy, Oviedo, Hitzlsperger, Jelavic, Naismith.

Tottenham: Lloris, Vertonghen, Dawson, Walker, Caulker, Dempsey, Parker, Dembele, Sigurdsson, Holtby, Adebayor. Subs: Friedel, Naughton, Assou-Ekotto, Huddlestone, Livermore, Ceballos, Carroll.

Lets have the full line-ups shall we?

Everton meanwhile hand a start to Ross Barkley while Nikita Jelavic has to make do with a place on the bench.

Spurs will be hoping to consolidate their place in the top four, but must do so without Gareth Bale after he picked up a knock against Basel on Thursday.
