Despite a penalty miss, Adel Taarabt still played a starring role in the draw, while Robert Snodgrass was in good form for the Canaries as the goalkeepers kept it level

    Julio César

Mostly untroubled in the first half. Made a fantastic stop from Hoolahan's flick. Made another good stop from Howson's shot.

  • Fabio Da Silva

    Fabio Da Silva

Some good early harrying on Pilkington. Was a little bit wayward with some passing, and occasionally got beaten, but is starting to show some of the potential expected of him at Manchester United.

  • Armand Traoré

    Armand Traoré

Allowed Snodgrass to turn past him easily. Backed himself into the corner on occasion as he was unwilling to use his right foot. Improved a lot as the game went on, making good tackles and clearances.

  • Christopher Samba

    Christopher Samba

Looked a little off the pace, but was very solid up against Grant Holt, winning plenty of headers. As ever, he was also a threat going forward, but only really had one opportunity: a flicked header that looked to be heading wide before it was cleared by holt.

  • Clint Hill

    Clint Hill

Looked comfortable alongside Samba, though Hoolahan playing in behind Holt was causing a few problems.

  • Shaun Derry

    Shaun Derry

Comfortable on the ball and made the right choices at the start of the match. His influence waned slightly as the game became a bit more frenetic.

  • Adel Taarabt

    Adel Taarabt

A constant thorn in the side of the Norwich defence in the opening stages. Typically flamboyant footwork was backed up with some dangerous, if inaccurate shooting. Clearly a step above in terms of quality, but couldn't make it count, with his penalty miss the low point for the hosts.

  • Stéphane M'Bia

    Stéphane M'Bia

Booked after twice pulling Norwich players back in the first half. Inches away from scoring the opener in the second half, but couldn't get a touch on the ball despite his despairing dive. Was replaced in the second half.

  • Shaun Wright-Phillips

Shaun Wright-Phillips Flop of the Match

His dallying on the ball got him into trouble, losing it on the edge of the area to Bennett. Made amends by running almost the length of the pitch to win a corner. An ineffective performance, though.

  • Andros Townsend

    3.00

    Andros Townsend

Looked lively on his debut for the club, giving Russel Martin trouble at right-back. Consistently looking to link up with Taarabt, but also got back to cover as well.

  • Jamie Mackie

    Jamie Mackie

Deployed in the striker's role, he had one effort of note after being found by Taarabt, but his shot across the face of goal didn't find the corner or a team-mate rushing in to capitalise. Worked as hard as ever, but couldn't find a cutting edge.

Came on as a late replacement for Fabio.

  • Jermaine Jenas

    Jermaine Jenas

Came on and was a calm presence in the centre. Not the most progressive, but kept the ball well.

  • B. Zamora

    B. Zamora

Came on to add a more physical presence up front. Didn't see too much of the ball, but certainly won a few headers that were useful for the team.

  • Mark Bunn

    Mark Bunn

Was untested in the first half, but wouldn't have got to Taarabt's shot that crept past the far post. Gave away a penalty after tripping Mackie, but made up for it with a great save low to his left.

  • Javier Garrido

    2.50

    Javier Garrido

Booked, but otherwise had a pretty comfortable day. Wright-Philips was not up to much in the first half, though Townsend did cause a bit more trouble when he switched to the right.

  • S. Bassong

    S. Bassong

Didn't have too much to do in the first half, but cleared well with his head, and also hacked clear when he had to. Booked for a cynical tackle on Mackie that would have been more fitting at the Superbowl this weekend.

  • Michael Turner

    Michael Turner

Not the strongest defender with the ball at his feet, opting for hacked clearances. Took a blow to the face that required treatment. Was harshly adjudged to give away a free kick late in the game.

  • Russell Martin

    Russell Martin

Struggled to deal with Townsend. Didn't get forward much, but when given time and space he picked a poor cross.

  • Anthony Pilkington

    Anthony Pilkington

Had a pretty inauspicious 24 minutes on the bench. Fabio got the better of him before he departed the pitch, heading straight down the tunnel.

  • Robert Snodgrass

Robert Snodgrass Top of the Match

Turned Traore easily to set up a chance for Hoolahan. Had a couple of headed opportunities in the first half, but couldn't get much on the first and put his second straight at Cesar. Set up Hoolahan again, but Cesar was again in the way. Was Norwich's main threat in the second half, and had a long-range effort tipped wide by the keeper.

  • Bradley Johnson

    Bradley Johnson

Solid performance in the centre of midfield. Made some good blocks, but also a poor challenge that got him booked. Showed some nice feet as well.

  • Wesley Hoolahan

    3.00

    Wesley Hoolahan

Blazed over from point blank range, but was offside anyway. Constantly played short, sharp passes but couldn't unlock the defence. Almost grabbed the opener, but fantastic reactions from Cesar denied him after a flick.

  • Alexander Tettey

    3.00

    Alexander Tettey

Kept it simple, screening the defence. Taarabt got the better of him in the opening stages, but he kept pretty tight on him thereafter.

  • Grant Holt

    Grant Holt

The striker's hold-up play was great, but he didn't get any clear opportunities at goal. Earned plenty of boos from the home fans for his style of play, but won't care.

    Elliott Bennett

Came on after 24 minutes, and almost had an instant impact, robbing Wright-Philips on the edge of the area, but his cross ran out of play. A good day for the winger, but couldn't make a vital contribution.

  • Luciano Becchio
