  • Michael Owen scored a consolation for the away side in stoppage time with his 150th Premier League goal but it was all in vain for a Stoke side which were well beaten today.
  • So Swansea extract revenge for their loss to Stoke in September with a dominant 3-1 victory. Second half goals from Ben Davies and a double from Jonathan De Guzman mean Swansea register their first league win of 2013.
  • 90' + 3'
And there is the final whistle from Mike Dean, Swansea run out clear winners here at the Liberty Stadium.
  • 90' + 2'
GOAL! Having said that, Stoke go and score a consolation and it's come in the form of Michael Owen who scores his 150th Premier League goal. A corner finds Jerome at the corner of the box, he crosses back across goal and Owen scores with a glancing header.

  • 85'
    SubstitutionMatthew Etherington Michael Owen
Michael Owen comes on for the last five minutes plus stoppage time and replaces Etherington.
  • 82'
That has taking the wind out of Stoke as they now look like a defeated team lacking any urgency.
  • 80'
    Assist Danny Graham
  • 80'
    Goal Jonathan De Guzmán
GOAL FOR SWANSEA! That seals the game for the home side with a superb goal. The ball is played towards Danny Graham and the striker lays the ball off first time with an excellent touch in the path of De Guzman who finishes confidently.
  • 78'
    SubstitutionMichu Leon Britton
The game has slowed considerably now and Swansea decide to replace Michu with Leon Britton. Keeping the Spaniard fresh for Chelsea in midweek.
  • 74'
    SubstitutionItay Shechter Danny Graham
Danny Graham enters the game, replacing Itay Shechter. The home crowd lift there voice in support of the former Watford striker, obviously wanting the forward to stay at the club.
  • 70'
Great chance for Stoke! That man Etherington causing all the problems for Swansea as he crosses once more, this time brilliantly to Jerome who somehow lifts the ball over from underneath the crossbar. Should have done much better.
  • 68'
Stoke currently having the better of possession at the moment as they look to find a way back into the game. Etherington wins a free-kick which is delivered by Whelan and Vorm ends up doing well claiming the ball from underneath own crossbar.
  • 65'
Matthew Etherington makes inroads down the right, gets himself to the byline before crossing, but Swansea clear easily. Kenwyne Jones maybe could have made more of an effort to make himself available.
  • 64'
    SubstitutionPablo Hernández Roland Lamah
  • 64'
Swansea make a substitution of their own with Pablo Hernandez making way for new signing Roland Lamah
  • 63'

The second Swansea goal now means Stoke have to change their mentality drastically. Dean Whitehead, who has been playing at right-back for the majoirity of the game has now been moved further forward.
  • 57'
    Goal Jonathan De Guzmán
GOAL SWANSEA!! Unstoppable free-kick by Jonathan De Guzman! Adam commited a foul on Michu 20 yards out, the spaniard left the Dutchman to take and what a decision as De Guzman leaves Begovic with no chance as he whips the ball over the wall and into the top corner.
  • 53'
There is a far better tempo to the game now, intensity has risen a level.
  • 51'
That goal has helped the game for sure, more space is already developing. Ki finds himself in that space as he fires the ball across the six yard box, Michu connects but his shot is blocked.
  • 49'
    Assist Ki Sung-Yueng
  • 49'
    Goal Ben Davies
GOAL SWANSEA! Magnificent play by young left-back Ben Davies! The Welshman intercepts the ball ahead of Jon Walters, smartly knocks the ball past Shawcross and cooly slots past Begovic in the Stoke goal. Just what the game needed.
  • 47'
The cross field long passing continues in the second half, with Angel Rangel being seeked out and after his cross is cleared, De Guzman shoots over from 25 yards.
  • 46'
Stoke City kick off the second half with no changes by either side at half-time.
  • The Stoke players can expect an earful from manager Tony Pulis during the interval, the away side have been poor with their attacking first half and have barely contributed with only two Matthew Ethrington shots looking relatively dangerous.
  • 45'
Referee Mike Dean calls a halt to the first half with neither side able to break the deadlock. The game struggled to get going early on but livened up as it went on. The home side have easily been the better side and look more likely to score but they enter the break level.
  • 43'
The away side counter from yet another corner kick for the home side, with many numbers forward for Stoke, Etherington decides to go alone and shoots from 25 yards but is comfortably saved by Vorm.
  • 40'
Stoke seem to have nulled the threat of Swansea for the time being, however the away side are finding it hard to create anything worthwhile.
  • 38'
The home side are in firm control, Wayne Routledge who has arguably been the best player of the first half does well down the left to get past Jon Walters, crosses from the byline once more but De Guzman can't get a clean shot away.
  • 36'
Great chance for Swansea! Matthew Etherington momentarily loses his mind as he loses the ball to Angel Rangel near the Stoke penalty area, the Swansea right-back adds insult to injury by slipping the ball inbetween the winger's legs eventually crossing from Michu who heads narrowly wide.
  • 33'
Swansea respond well and have a number of corners in succession, with the last ending with a shot wide from midfielder Ki.
  • 30'
STOKE HAVE A CHANCE! We have a legitimate goal scoring oppertunity by the away side. A well worked move sees Matthew Etherington play a one-two with Charlie Adam but the winger shoots wide from the left side of the penalty area.
  • 28'
The home crowd livens up as there is an appeal for handball at the edge of the box, however nothing is given.
  • 27'
No clear oppertunites from either side as we approach the half hour mark in this game. An extremely timid affair.
  • 24'
The visitors' defence is coming under threat by attacks from the width but Stoke's physical presence at the back are able to stifle the crosses that are delivered.
  • 21'
Swansea winger Wayne Routledge shows tremendous pace down the left side to beat two opponents, delivers a cross from the byline however Stoke manage to clear the danger.
  • 19'
Stoke force themselves their first corner of the game, unfortunately for them, Glen Whelan doesn't clear the first line of defence which gets manager Tony Pulis irrate on the touchline
  • 16'
The atmosphere at the Liberty has died down as the pace of the game does, both teams are playign long diagonal passes in order to create a chance but both teams are struggling at the moment.
  • 13'
Stoke are establishing themselves in the game now with some good possession, however they are still to create a chance on goal.
  • 9'
It could be a long afternoon for Stoke defender Geoff Cameron, the American is being played at an unfamiliar position of left-back today with Andy Wilkinson out. Swansea are looking to exploit this with many of their attacks coming from the right side.
  • 6'
Swansea have most definitely started the better of the two sides, with Stoke struggling to gain a foothold on the game and are finding Swansea's fluid passing hard to deal with.
  • 3'
Michu has his first chance, the first of many? The Spaniard recieves a pass from Shechter at the edge of the penalty area, but he shoots high and wide.
  • 2'
Bright start from the hosts as they retain possession well, create a chance as Hernandez is played through but shoots wide. It wouldn't have counted however as the linesman had raised his flag.
  • 1'
