Valencia are currently plagued by injury problems as Ever Banega and Sergio Canales are sidelined for the rest of the season, and the team will most likely have to make due without Jeremy Mathieu, who is a doubt due to a knee issue.

It's not all bad news for the home side who will welcome back David Albelda from a one game suspension. The veteran will most likely start in the midfield while Jonas should slot into Mathieu's position on the left.

Osasuna as they will be without Sergio Fernandez, Kike Sola, Masoud Shojaei and Jon Echaide who are out with injuries. Miguel Flano is a doubt for Wednesday's match and his fitness will be re-evaluated before the start of the game.

  • Valencia have outscored Osasuna 13-8 in ten games since 2007.
  • Los Che have not defeated their the opponents from Pamplona in their last three attempts, mustering two draws and a loss.
  • The home side have been defeated in four out of their last five games in all competitions. Their solitary victory was a 4-0 thrashing of Betis.
  • Osasuna have only managed three wins in their last 10 games. During this dry run, they have scored 10 times and conceded 16 goals.
  • The Basque side have played in European competition since 2007, when they reached the Uefa Cup final. They were eliminated in the semi-finals by eventual champions Sevilla.
  • Osasuna have the worst away record of any side in the top half of La Liga.
