Player Ratings: Tottenham 1-2 PAOK

Was given little chance for either of PAOK’s goals, being left totally exposed in both instances. Though had next to nothing to do for the remaining 75 minutes.

Not one to remember for the Frenchman, after marshalling a defence that looked incredibly shaky early on.

Was routinely beaten in the opening stages but soon settled down. Not a showing that suggests he’ll be wrestling a starting XI place off Kyle Walker anytime in the near, or distant future.

Strangely subdued in the first half though came into the game more as it progressed. End product was not up to the high standard he has set himself in recent weeks.

The best player on the pitch in terms of assurance on the ball though more often than not, potential outlets were found lacking before PAOK were reduced to 10 men.

Attacking with vigour, but the defensive insecurities shone through way too often. Will need to settle down in order to not leave his team overly exposed.

Looked early on as if he were going to be the muscle of the game, though things quickly began to bypass him a little too regularly. Didn't inspire too much confidence on the ball.

Looking slightly lost and a little out of his depth up top, but sniffed around well to win the penalty that got Spurs back into it. Missed a guilt edged header in the second half.

Started brightly but found it difficult to influence the game as time wore on and was replaced my more potent attacking threats.

Ghosted in and out of the game in a manner he may be upset with. Extremely unlucky to see his equaliser ruled out though.

Despite his night becoming increasingly more difficult as it wore on, the stopper stood up admirably to all asked of him.

Stoic defending ensured that Spurs could find no way back into the game, a real stand-out performer at the back.

Put his body on the line several times, though was pretty lucky to see Spurs' equaliser disallowed after he remained in play after getting injured, playing Defoe onside.

A robust display that saw him deal with the threat of Steven Pienaar very well.

Was arguably pretty unfortunate to be sent off after his second goal-line clearance, in an episode of pinball in the PAOK box that led to a Spurs’ lifeline.

Providing an obvious aesthetic counterpart to Luka Modric but with little comparable ability on the ball. Found himself hopelessly over-run in the second half.

Was required to sit in and do a job at left-back in the second half and somehow managed to keep Lennon quiet. However, that was probably more down to the winger's off day.

Screened the back four to decent effect but found that he was over-ran when his team went a man down.

Got across the near post well to really sink the knife into Spurs with the visitor's opener, though was kept largely occupied by the threat of Aaron Lennon.

Was all-too-easily allowed to nod home his side’s second then performed robustly all night, providing a sturdy platform for PAOK’s roaming wingers to work off. Faded out of the game as it drew on.
