Tipped over a header from Ronaldo early on and saved a fierce free kick from the Portuguese later in the first half. Looked to see a Ronaldo shot late in the second half as he parried unconvincingly, but made a great save to deny Benzema what seemed a certain second for Madrid and then another to thwart Higuain after 77 minutes.
His clumsy challenge on Ronaldo could have given away a penalty early in the match and a cynical barge on the Portuguese brought a yellow card later on. His no-nonsense approach could have cost him, but he also made some important tackles and gave everything for the home side.
The former Real Madrid defender is not a centre-back, but moved inside and did a good job in the heart of the Getafe back line with some key blocks and clearances. More of a full-back, he was caught out of position on occasions, however.
Up against Mesut Ozil and cannot say he won the battle, but he at least forced the German to move inside. Also made one good run forward in the second half but was stopped in his tracks just short of the Madrid area. Was accused of handball in the area by Cristiano, but it didn't look intentional.
Did well to set up Casquero for a great move which almost led to an opener for Getafe early on, and came close himself as he slid in at the far post later in the half but was unable to get a touch following a good set-piece move. Was easily turned by Benzema in the corner, though, and was given plenty of problems by Ronaldo.
Largely ineffective and saw little of the ball in the final third for Getafe, but put in some good defensive work and restricted the influence of Coentrao on the flank. Was replaced by Gavilan with 33 minutes left.
Saw little of the ball in the first half but improved after the break. Almost got into an excellent position in the area, only to be denied by Arbeloa, and appealed for a penalty after his shot was handled by Pepe in the area. Otherwise disappointing, however.
Will always be remembered for being Pepe's first high-profile victim a few years ago, when the defender kicked out at him at the Bernabeu. Set up Barrada for a glorious opportunity early on and tried his luck from the edge of the box following a Ramos mistake before half-time. Worked tirelessly in midfield.
Another hard-worker in midfield, Rodriguez made a number of biting tackles but was booked and was unable to provide any real creative spark when he did have the ball, which wasn't very often.
Should have given his side the lead early on when he poked a Casquero cross over the bar from close range. It didn't get better after that as the midfielder appeared lost in a crowded centre field and he was eventually replaced after a largely disappointing showing.
Had a thankless task up front all on his own and saw little of the ball as Madrid bossed the proceedings for the most part, but came close for Getafe following a set piece eight minutes prior to the interval. Was chasing the ball for most of the night, however.
Came on as a late substitute but had no real bearing on the game in the closing stages as Madrid held out comfortably for a win.
Came on in the second half and showed some good touches, but couldn't provide the quality needed to get Getafe back into the match.
Came on as a late substitute but had little impact and also got himself booked for a poor challenge on Pepe.
Didn't have a save to make for the whole night.
Generally solid but was somewhat slow to react at set pieces and could have given away a penalty with a handball - albeit not deliberate - from Diego Castro's shot in the second half.
Made one mistake which allowed Casquero to shoot late in the first half but was comfortable at the back for the most part and got forward well to pose a threat, brilliantly heading home the only goal of the night from an Ozil corner in the first half.
Was crowded out in the area following a good forward run early on, then barged off the ball by Miku later on. Always positive down the left-hand side, he was nevertheless kept quiet by Rios for the most part. Had little to do defensively.
Headed out for a corner under pressure from Diego Castro early in the second half. Was then well off target with a speculative effort as he got forward in the second half. Solid but unspectacular, which is typical Arbeloa. He didn't do much wrong all night.
The least impressive of Madrid's trident of forwards behind Benzema, but the Brazilian was nevertheless neat in possession for the most part and linked up well with his team-mates until he was replaced by Callejon midway through the second half.
Looked bright once again with some dangerous through balls. His corner found Ramos for the opening goal and in the second half he should have had another assist when his lovely pass set up Benzema, but the Frenchman fired straight at Moya. Another outstanding performance.
Still looked to be carrying some of the effects of his injury as he didn't look quite at his brilliant best, but the Basque midfielder still showed his passing range and worked hard in central midfield to win the ball and keep possession ticking over.
His tireless work in the centre of the park allowed Madrid to win the ball back quickly, but the Frenchman looks better without the ball than with it - and didn't really offer much going forward.
Headed just over with his back to goal early on, then went down in the area under a challenge from Cata Diaz. Was then hauled down by Cata when in full flight but saw the resulting free-kick saved by Moya. Made very poor contact with a volleyed effort which he screwed wide just before the break, then cut in from the left in second half but fired straight at Moya. Saw an effort correctly ruled out for offside late on.
Turned Valera by the corner flag and curled a shot over the bar from an extremely tight angle. Should have done better when he had the chance to set up Ozil but his cross was too close to Moya. Off target in the second half from distance and then fired straight at Moya after he was put through by Ozil. Was later set up by Ronaldo but after turning his marker well, blasted well over the bar. Replaced by Higuain after 73 minutes.
Came on towards the end against his former club, but wasn't on the pitch long enough to make much of an impact.
Was introduced as Kaka left the proceedings with just under half an hour to play, but was unable to make much of an impression or provide a goal threat as he has done so often this season.
Replaced Benzema with 17 minutes left and tested Moya with one decent effort moments later. Full of running.
