Borussia Monchengladbach have an almost clean bill of health to choose from for the visit of Schalke. Martin Stranzl missed Wednesday's cup clash with Hertha Berlin through flu, but could return at Roel Brouwers' expense.
Meanwhile, despite scoring the clincher against Hertha Berlin in midweek, Oscar Wendt is likely to be forced to make do with a spot on the bench.
After making his comeback during last week's 1-1 draw with Mainz, Jefferson Farfan is back in contention for a place in Huub Stevens' first team. However, Ralf Fahrmann remains out with a ligament injury, while Alexander Baumjohann and Peer Kluge are both sidelined with injuries picked up in training.
Jermaine Jones is still suspended for a vicious foul on Marco Reus when these two sides met in the DFB-Pokal in December.

DID YOU KNOW? |
- Since their return to the Bundesliga in 2008, Borussia Monchengladbach have won all three of their home league matches against Schalke.

- In a 1967 clash between these two sides, Gladbach triumphed 11-0, a result that remains the second biggest victory in Bundesliga history.
- These two sides have already clashed at Borussia Park this season, with the hosts recording a 3-1 victory to knock Huub Stevens' men out of the DFB Pokal.
- Schalke are unbeaten in their last six Bundesliga fixtures, with last week's draw halting a five-match winning streak.
- A brace would see Raul (right) become the second Spaniard to reach 25 goals in the Bundesliga.
- Schalke have already collected one more point on the road than they managed in the whole of last season.
