    Mark Schwarzer

Very rarely troubled in the first half until Lampard beat him from 12 yards. His side's overall domination of the ball ensured that he was called in to action not too often.

  • Stephen Kelly

    Stephen Kelly

Kept Salomon Kalou’s impact to a bare minimum for the first 45 and put in a reliable shift that saw him do the simple things correctly. Confusion as to the awarding of Chelsea's penalty may result in him taking the blame, but it's hard to see how this was the case.

Vigorous runs up the left provided side with the impetus that threatened to give Fulham the lead. Great all action performance.

    Brede Hangeland

Did excellently to throw himself in front of Fernando Torres’ effort after 10 minutes and from that point had the upper hand over the Spanish striker.

  • Aaron Hughes

    Aaron Hughes

Calm and composed throughout, he often stepped in to deny Chelsea the chance to build promising position within the Cottagers’ half.

  • Danny Murphy

    Danny Murphy

The kind of intelligent use of the ball that you expect, though was deemed to have conceded the penalty at the end of the first half that turned the game on its head. Waned in influence as the game drew on.

  • Damien Duff
    1
    2
    3.00

    Damien Duff

Looked out of sorts out on the right flank and struggled to get the better of Ryan Bertrand throughout. Not a performance to suggest his inclusion is now a given.

  • Mahamadou Diarra

    Mahamadou Diarra

Provided bite for his team. Put in the solid work that allowed more attack-minded colleagues to take the game to Chelsea, without ever providing anything too spectacular himself.

  • Kerim Frei

    Kerim Frei

Often found it difficult to trouble Ivanovic, though the consequent marauding inside often gave his team their most tangible threat. Made a series of jinking runs that sprung his side into life, and forced Cech into a great save early on. Legs seemed to go as the game drew on.

  • Clint Dempsey

Clint Dempsey Top of the Match

At times looked isolated up top but was able to bring his supporting cast into play very well. Stabbed at Cech when he could have maybe fired in when the game was 0-0. Always proved elusive and a handful throughout before powering home a deserved equaliser.

  • Moussa Dembele
    6
    1
    3.50

    Moussa Dembele

Most progressive of a midfield intent to sit back and stifle Chelsea in the middle. Looked dangerous when he got at his man, but too often the final ball, or decisiveness, was slightly off.

    Dickson Etuhu

Brought on to bolster a tiring midfield, which he did with aplomb, providing fresh drive that saw his team regain control of the game

    Alexander Kacaniklic

Thrown into the mix with just a couple minutes left as Fulham pushed for the winner.

    Orlando Sá

His arrival prompted Fulham's equaliser, though it would be inaccurate to accredit that to him.

  • Petr Cech

    Petr Cech

Commanding presence at the back which provided a confidence that filtered through the team and made a fantastic save just moments before being beaten by Dempsey's header.

  • Branislav Ivanovic

    Branislav Ivanovic

Dealt comfortably with the threat of Karim Frei to begin with, before the Swiss youngster began to direct his threat inside the full-back.

  • Gary Cahill

    2
    3.00

    Gary Cahill

Comfy on ball and is beginning to form a reliable-looking partnership with John Terry, which can only be of benefit to the club. Had to contend with a lot of intelligent movement ahead of him and he looked up to the task.

  • John Terry

    John Terry

Clint Dempsey’s desire to float in and around the Chelsea back four meant that there was no persistent physical threat to his troublesome ribs. All-in-all a decent return that gives Di Matteo a big boost.

  • Ryan Bertrand
    15
    1

    Ryan Bertrand

Experience aside, a like-for-like replacement for Ashley Cole – an observation which was made more apparent by Damien Duff’s ineffectual showing on the right flank.

  • Ramires

    Ramires

As full of running as ever, though found scant opportunity to impress on the ball.

  • Frank Lampard

    Frank Lampard

Lost out on the hotly-contested battle in the middle of the park early on but grew in stature as things developed. Stepped up when it mattered to sweep the penalty home.

  • John Obi Mikel
    10
    3

    John Obi Mikel

Shielded his back four pretty well considering the multitude of Fulham players who seem intent to drive at Chelsea from deep.

  • Raúl Meireles

    16
    2.50

Raúl Meireles Flop of the Match

Played as the most advanced of Chelsea’s midfield three and consequently found himself in some promising attacking positions from which he failed to capitalise. Hauled off after providing very little in the second half.

  • Fernando Torres
    26
    11
    2.50

    Fernando Torres

Really struggled to impose himself throughout in a game where Chelsea were constantly under pressure.

  • Salomon Kalou
    10
    2
    3.00

    Salomon Kalou

Ineffectual in the first half until the dying moments, when a rare foray into the Fulham box resulted in him winning his side a penalty against the grain. Otherwise, put in a commendable shift, rather than provided a spark.

Substitutions

  • Juan Mata

    Juan Mata

Brought on to try and bring a bit of life to Chelsea's tired attack but saw himself tasked more with quelling Fulham's uprising.

  • Didier Drogba

    Didier Drogba

Replaced Torres and found himself as redundant as the Spaniard.
