Stunning Kyle Walker free-kick doubled Rafael Van der Vaart's opener to give Spurs a comfortable win over seemingly doomed Rovers

    Brad Friedel

Made his 300th consecutive Premier League appearance and was untroubled in a relaxed first half where he faced precisely zero shots. Took a couple of important catches under pressure in the second half.

    Younes Kaboul

Kept his wits about him to excellently clear a dangerous cross right on the stroke of half-time. Hit a hopelessly wide 40 yarder to begin the second half. Won everything in the air but his passing lacked conviction.

    William Gallas

Dealt with the early long-balls to Yakubu well and almost scored toward the half-time mark with a header that smacked the bar. Wasn't overly troubled at the back but did everything right in a steady return to form.

Looked energised - perhaps following his Young Player of the Year award win but linked well with Lennon initially. Got up and down well but was berated by the management for not getting the ball to Lennon faster. However, second half he showed more intiative combing effectively with Lennon. He stole the plaudits on the 75th minute with a delightful 30-yard free-kick into the top corner. It was quite something.

    Gareth Bale

Started left, drifted inside, went to the right. Basically wandered where he wanted to. Rose well at the back post to nod a header back across goal and onto the crossbar. Aside from that, he had a quiet first half. Went back to the left in the second half but was bypassed much of the time and looked off-colour when in possession. Not his best day.

    Aaron Lennon

Should have scored in the first minute, hitting the side netting from a few yards out. Sent the ball to the back-post for the opening goal and looked back to his flying self as he broke just after the opening goal to terrorise a retreating Blackburn defence. His left-footed shot was blazed over however. Had an impressive game albeit with a slight lack of incision and was replaced by Dos Santos with 7 minutes to go.

    Rafael van der Vaart

Drifted between the lines in the opening 20 minutes without properly contributing. However he was on hand to smash the ball just over the line for the opener. Aside from that, he looked fairly anonymous. He did play a couple of clever passes but by and large wasn't as effective as he can be.

  • Luka Modric

    Luka Modric

Started well, drifting into the box and squaring for Lennon, who missed at the back-post. Kept things ticking along well and had very little work to do with Sandro mopping up any threat nearby. Was a little sloppy in possession at times - highlighting recent critical voices of his form - but was still a step above his opposition.

  • Danny Rose

    Danny Rose

A willing runner at left-back and got forward when he could. Showed a few nervy touches as well as a couple of wayward final balls in the first half. Latched onto Adebayor's lay-off to almost double the lead but was denied as Robinson smothered the shot. Really came into the game though and showed courageous inclinations to get up and down the flank freely. Even with Hoilett switching to his flank, he continued to threaten. Good game and encouraging for the remaining fixtures where he'll be a fixture at left-back.

  • Sandro

    Sandro

Surged through the Blackburn midfield early on, typifying Spurs' early intent. Hit an unstoppable shot under pressure off the underside of the bar after five minutes. He was hurtling around the pitch crashing into tackles, winning the ball and generally disrupting everything Blackburn did. He even managed a spot of vomiting on the 25th minute before he recovered to slam another tackle into Dunn. Continued where he left off in the second period but had much less closing down to do as Blackburn faded. Was taken off towards the end for a mini-rest after a competitive game.

  • Emmanuel Adebayor

    Emmanuel Adebayor

Operated well up top, moving into the channels and making space for others. This was exemplified with his work in turning the ball around the corner for Rose's chance. His passing and touch were a bit hit and miss and that did contribute to a number of turnovers.

    Paul Robinson

Could do little for the goal as Bale's header zipped past him, leaving him exposed. Took a number of positive catches in the first half. Made a good low save from Rose as we approached the half-time whistle. Could do absolutely nothing about Walker's free-kick.

    Gaël Givet

Played left of the three centre-backs and had his lack of pace exposed by Lennon on one occasion. Had more to do in the second half as he looked to assist Olsson and did well enough.

    Scott Dann

Was unfortunate not to prevent the first goal. His clearance touched the ball onto the bar and he almost stopped the follow-up going over the line. Defended resolutely throughout but was too keen to knock the ball long than to build something.

  • Bradley Orr

    Bradley Orr

Played right of three centre-backs and mainly tracked Adebayor in a tough first half. Defended resolutely in the second half, forcing a number of turnovers, mainly from Adebayor.

    David Dunn

Tried to get on the ball as much as possible but there wasn't the same intent from his teammates and he was left to defend for most of the half. Chased hard, put in a good amount of work but was replaced towards the end of the game.

  • Mauro Formica

    Mauro Formica

Struggled to get involved early on in proceedings and was often left chasing the shadows of Rose and Modric from the right of midfield. Misplaced passes, poor composure, bad day all round really.

    Morten-Gamst Pedersen

Looked to take a bad tackle to the knee in the first half but continued well enough from the left. Spent much more time defending than anything else as Lennon and Walker pressed him back.

Operated from the right probably expecting to deal with Bale. As it turned out, he only had Rose to deal with in the first period, though that was problematic at times.

Junior Hoilett Flop of the Match

Potentially an audition for a possible summer move to London? Didn't overly impress in the first half and saw little of the ball in the second half despite switching flanks. Largely anonymous.

Did what he could up front alone and was commendable in his hold up play. Had no support in the first half or the time he was on the pitch in the second. Tough day for him and he was replaced on the 70th minute.
