What a contest in Group A. Colombia still sit in first place with four points. Argentina have two points and are currently in second place. Bolivia will take on Costa Rica tomorrow. If the South Americans win, they will match Colombia on points.
The ball is cleared, and the game is over. The game finishes 0-0 as fans in Santa Fe express their frustration at the result with whistles and screams. It was a terrible performance from Argentina on the night. Colombia were far superior, but Romero deserves credit for his play in goal. The pressure is mounting on Batista and Argentina.
Colombia are threatening late with a corner. The ball is cleared from the box but Colombia have another corner. Here we go!

Fans begin to whistle as the home side are playing the possession game in the back.

Messi nearly sends the ball to his father in the stands, sending the free-kick high and wide.
Aguero is fouled just outside the box! Nearly a penalty! Great chance for Argentina coming up!
Tevez finds Higuain at the side of the box where the Real Madrid star wins a corner after a low shot is saved by Martinez.
Mascherano sends Aguero through with a ball over the top. Replay shows that the Atletico Madrid striker was onside, but referee disagreed.

Looks like Gago and Mascherano will be next to each other in front of the backline with Messi playing as an attacking midfielder. Will the move pay off?
Higuain is coming on for Argentina. Looks like Batista is looking for a pure striker up top. Banega comes off. Four strikers?
The game is getting more tense with each passing second. 20 minutes left to find the winning goal. Argentina are still lacking a midfielder to filter balls forward.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHH! Armero nearly opens the scoring for Colombia from a tough angle at the corner of the box. The ball flies wide of the post, missing by little. Moments later, Romero makes a fine save on Falcao in the box, positioning himself well to knock the Porto star's shot out of the danger zone.

Tevez tries to take it himself in the box, cutting to the inside from the corner of the box, but his shot hits Aguero in the head and flies over the goal

Justin C Jose on Twitter wants Palermo's star to take the pitch alongside two of La Liga's top talents: pastore must be brought in midfield along with aguero and higuian or di maria.
Ramos takes the ball down the left side by Mascherano does well to knock the ball to Zanetti with a solid tackle.
The ball hits off the post after Messi sends the ball to the front of the goal! Martinez dives to save it but it goes off the post and towards the corner. Offside is called by the ref!
Rich Carpenter writes on Twitter: lavezzi shouldn't be starting hes not clinical enough, they should have aguero or higuain on instead!
Mascherano tries his luck from outside the box with a low shot that Martinez saves well to his write. All the momentum for the home side at the moment.
Biagi on Twitter writes: in Colombia I would put a 4-4-2 taking out our sweeper and putting teofilo Gutierrez or Rodallega as the midfield/striker
Lots of tweets coming in. WIll get to them shortly as Colombia sends in a corner that is knocked out well by Romero.
Tevez sends a ball into the box that appears to hit the arm of a Colombian defender. Replay shows it hit Perea's face.
No changes so far for either team. The goalkeepers are the top performers thus far.

Daniel Edwards with another update from the stadium: Argentines furious at their players and they're whistled strongly
That is the end of the first half. Is Messi's ankle fine? He seems to be having little trouble as he walks off the pitch. An exciting second half awaits. What changes would you make if you were the coach of Argentina or Colombia?
One minute of added time as Messi is down grabbing his ankle after planting his foot poorly.
Shakeel Greaves shares his thoughts on Twitter: Kun Aguero should be in the starting 11. As that happens, Moreno tries Romero from outside the box, but the AZ Alkmaar goalkeeper again sends the ball wide with a wonderful save with his arm as he dove to the right post to stop the low shot.
Falcao decides to try a shot from deep, but Romero does well to save the ball near the middle of his body, sending it wide.
Diego Milito, Di Maria and Kun Aguero are warming up on the side. Batista may be looking for a change up top. Can Aguero bring a spark, again?
Free-kick for Colombia in Argentina's half. A swung in cross is headed out by Mascherano. Colombia are starting to game the momentum.
Tevez is clearly frustrated with the physicality of the game as the is bumped trying to split defenders just outside the box. No foul called.
Lavezzi!!!!!!!! After a brilliant pass from Messi sending the Napoli man through, the attacker can't finish alone on the right side of the box as Martinez slides to make the save.
Banega plays in a low through ball to Tevez, splitting the defence. But Martinez comes out well to get it as the former Boca Juniors star fails to reach the ball in time.
Another update from Daniel Edwards in the stadium regards Moreno's unbelievable miss: The Argentine in the press box responds, "God is Argentine"
OH MY!!!!! Colombia just missed the easiest goal of recent memory!!! Milito plays a terrible ball back that is grabbed by Ramos on top of the box. The attacker takes the ball in before being dropped by Burdisso. With the ball rolling in the box, Moreno misses the wide open goal alone at the back!!!
An update from Goal.com's Daniel Edwards in the stadium: Ramos misses from an inch, causing a huge groan from the yellow sections of the stands.
It's a lively game with a lot of physicality up to this point. Which team will find the breakthrough?
OHHHH HE MISSED IT!!!! Ramos is found alone in front of goal but his sliding effort sends the ball over the post. Should have been a goal for Colombia
Cambiasso sends a ball into Lavezzi, but Martinez does well, again, to knock the ball wide with his fist. Corner kick for Argentina.
Moreno's free-kick, with a lot of movement, goes just above the top left corner of the goal as his grabs his head in disbelief.
Falcao is fouled at the top of the box as Colombia now get their chance from a set piece.
Banega's lofted cross is knocked out well by Martinez. To Argentine players were at the back post to head it in, but the goalkeeper did well to sky and punch it wide.
Zabaleta is fouled outside of the box towards the far sideline. Great chance coming up for the hosts
Little has been seen by Colombia at this point in the attack. In the back, the defenders have been positioned well to clear threats.
Tevez shows his footwork in the box but the Colombia defence does well to eliminate the Man City star's cross.

Zabaleta does well to gain possession of the ball inside the box but can't manage to send a quality ball in as defenders collapse.
Yellow card for Aguilar. Many wanted a red after scissoring Tevez to the ground near midfield. Colombia catches a break there.
Guarin looks to find his Porto teammate Falcao inside the box as he marches down the right side, but Milito does well to block the ball, sending it out for a corner. Colombia can't do anything with the corner as the ball skies over the box.
All the possession early belongs to Argentina. They look to be playing down the right side with Lavezzi.
Argentina are playing the possession game, knocking the ball around at the back as they look for Messi to check to the ball and start the attack.
The game has begun in Santa Fe!
