    Gianluca Curci

A fantastic performance from the Bologna shot-stopper, as he single-handedly pushed Milan until the final few minutes. His double save in the first half to deny both Birsa and Robinho was a particular highlight.

  • Archimede Morleo

    Archimede Morleo

Struggled at times to deal with Abate for the entirety of the match, as well as failing to deal with Poli's run for Milan's opening goal.

  • Mikael Antonsson

    Mikael Antonsson

A solid performance from the Swedish defender, who dealt well with Robinho in the first half, standing up his man well on various occasions.

  • Gyorgy Garics

    Gyorgy Garics

His pace helped out Bologna massively, in terms of breaking forward and also recovering to help cover. An athletic performance, despite little in terms of creation.

  • Andrea Mantovani

    Andrea Mantovani

The central defensive pairing for Bologna helped to keep tabs on Matri, who saw several efforts blocked in the second half, as the Rossoneri looked for goals relentlessly.

  • Diego Laxalt

Diego Laxalt Top of the Match

Two goals on his debut, against his parent club's rivals, Laxalt couldn't have hoped for a better start. Two good finishes and plenty of running from the Uruguayan.

  • Diego Pérez

    0
    3.50

    Diego Pérez

Tried his luck a few times from range, but was more useful when breaking up play in the centre of midfield. Unlucky to pick up a yellow for a strong challenge.

  • Lazaros Christodoulopoulos
    1
    0
    3.50

    Lazaros Christodoulopoulos

Provided the assist for Laxalt's second goal, and his shooting capabilities did rear their head on occasion. Made few telling offensive contributions.

  • Michele Pazienza

    2.50

    Michele Pazienza

Created a couple of chances in the first half, but failed to convert. Made two important clearances in the second half, one being a rather acrobatic overhead kick.

  • Alessandro Diamanti

    3.50

    Alessandro Diamanti

His left foot proved dangerous on many occasions, from set pieces and also from range. Very unlucky to see a stoppage-time effort dip onto Abbiati's crossbar from 35 yards.

  • Jonathan Cristaldo

    Jonathan Cristaldo

Took his goal well and worked hard up front on his own. Battled against the physically imposing figures of Mexes and Zapata.

Substitutions

  • Frederik Sorensen

    Frederik Sorensen

Dug in during the late stages, but was unfortunately unable to help his side to three points. Throwing the Dane on in place of a midfielder invited Milan on, but Sorensen did make one important clearance.

  • Rene Krhin

    Rene Krhin

He came on late in the game and had little effect.

  • Francesco Della Rocca

    3.00

    Francesco Della Rocca

Went close from a corner and put himself about the field. Failed to create any chances, but his fresh legs allowed for Bologna to attempt to hold out.

  • Christian Abbiati
    1
    1
    2.50

    Christian Abbiati

The Milan goalkeeper remained untested for large periods of the game, and could do little about any of Bologna's goals. Just one of those days where the goalkeeper was let down by those ahead of him.

  • Philippe Mexes
    2
    1
    2.50

    Philippe Mexes

A danger from corners, but was a little too bullish against the likes of Cristaldo. Struggled for pace whenever Bologna managed to break down the channels.

  • Cristian Zapata
    1
    2
    1.50

Cristian Zapata Flop of the Match

Gave away countless free kicks for pushing Cristaldo and his pace was his only saving grace in terms of recovering.

  • Ignazio Abate
    2
    1
    2.50

    Ignazio Abate

Overlapped well, always offering an option on the right hand side, importantly as Milan didn't have a natural presence there. Finished well for the equaliser.

  • Kevin Constant
    2
    0
    2.50

    Kevin Constant

More use in the opposition half than his own, the gangly left-back did provide some problems for Garics and fed Robinho with a few useful passes.

  • Valter Birsa
    3
    0
    3.00

    Valter Birsa

His efforts geared towards aiding Matri find the back of the net were all to no avail, as the Slovenian nodded across goal for his team-mate to miss a sitter in the first half.

  • Andrea Poli
    3
    0
    3.50

    Andrea Poli

Took his goal brilliantly, finishing across Curci with ease, and did everything simply. A very efficient, if not sparkling, performance from the Italian, who was one of Milan's better midfielders.

  • Antonio Nocerino
    1
    1
    2.50

    Antonio Nocerino

Went missing for long portions of the game, although he did work back occasionally to win possession well.

  • Nigel De Jong

    Nigel De Jong

After picking up a yellow card, the Netherlands international always looked likely for a dismissal, but De Jong remained disciplined and provided some bite in midfield.

  • Robinho
    3
    0
    3.50

    Robinho

Took his goal well and was involved heavily in the first half, cutting inside from the left on various occasions. Should perhaps have scored earlier, but was thwarted by a good Curci save.

  • Alessandro Matri
    1
    4
    2.00

    Alessandro Matri

A poor performance from the former Juventus striker, who is yet to inspire his supporters to support his cause. Missed a sitter in the first half, and a good chance in the second, although a backheel in the build-up to Robinho's goal was key.

Substitutions

  • Sulley Muntari
    2
    0
    2.50

    Sulley Muntari

Was involved more than the likes of Nocerino despite coming on late, testing Curci on two occasions and forcing a save in the build up to Robinho's late finish.

  • M'Baye Niang
    1
    1
    2.00

    M'Baye Niang

Not the most encouraging cameo, as the Frenchman gave away one or two cheap fouls, and didn't really get involved too much.
