Goals from Gary Hooper, Robert Snodgrass and Leroy Fer see Norwich come from behind to win in a game which goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen will be doing his best to forget

    John Ruddy

A positive performance in goal from the Norwich keeper. Did well to keep out early efforts from Kevin Nolan and Guy Demel. Unlucky with the goal.

  • Russell Martin

    Russell Martin

A quiet night's work for Martin up against Joe Cole. Defended well when called upon but could have supported the attack more.

  • Michael Turner

    Michael Turner

Often put his body on the line. Defended well in the air and led well from the back. Did well to block Nolan's initial shot before West Ham's opener.

  • Martin Olsson

    Martin Olsson

Unable to support the attack as much as he would have liked. Kept Stewart Downing quiet for the majority of the game. A solid, if unspectacular, performance.

  • Ryan Bennett

    Ryan Bennett

Lost his man for West Ham's goal and at times looked shaky at the heart of the Norwich defence. Grew into the game as the match went on.

  • Robert Snodgrass

Robert Snodgrass Top of the Match

Scored a delightful free-kick to give his side the win. Despite this, with his side struggling to hold onto the ball, Snodgrass often looked a frustrated figure on the right-hand side. Ran tirelessly throughout and helped support Martin in defence.

  • Jonny Howson
    2

    3.00

    Jonny Howson

Never stopped running but struggled in the midfield battle, finding himself outnumbered against Noble, Morrison and Collison. Very unlucky not to score with a thunderous long-range piledriver that clattered the crossbar.

  • Leroy Fer

    3.00

    Leroy Fer

Scored a fantastic goal to wrap up victory with virtually the last kick of the game, though was often found chasing Morrison's shadow. Like Howson, Fer struggled to boss the midfield in the first half despite his best efforts.

  • Anthony Pilkington

    Anthony Pilkington

Norwich's best player before he had to limp off injured midway through the first half. Often got the better of Guy Demel and whipped in a couple of good crosses into the box.

  • Gary Hooper

    Gary Hooper

Cometh the hour, cometh the man. After a quiet performance in attack, Hooper needed a penalty to open his Premier League account, but the forward won't care, finding the back of the net when his side needed him most.

  • Johan Elmander
    1
    0
    2.50

    Johan Elmander

Restored to his favoured postion in attack, Elmander enjoyed one of his better days for Norwich. Won his fair share of balls in the air, though still looking for his first Premier League goal.

Substitutions

  • Bradley Johnson

    Bradley Johnson

Came on late for Gary Hooper as Norwich looked to defend their lead. Little time to make an impact.

  • Nathan Redmond

    2.50

    Nathan Redmond

A quiet afternoon for the winger after coming on for Pilkington. He was unable to run at Rat as often as he would have liked with his side often finding themselves defending deep, under continal pressure.

  • Jussi Jaaskelainen

    2

Jussi Jaaskelainen Flop of the Match

The reason his side do not travel back to London with at least a share of the points. Having dropped a cross at Hooper's feet, it was a foolish error to commit the foul, presenting Hooper with the chance to equalise from the spot. Didn't move for Snodgrass' free kick.

  • James Tomkins
    1
    1
    3.00

    James Tomkins

Solid at the back, Tomkins was there to clear on the rare occasions Norwich put the ball in the West Ham box. Unlucky not to score midway through the second half.

  • R. Raţ

    3.50

    R. Raţ

A constant threat down the left, Rat whipped in a number of dangerous crosses. It came as no surprise when he opening goal came from one of said balls. Picked up a silly booking after clashing with Snodgrass midway through the second half.

  • James Collins
    2
    0
    2.50

    James Collins

Dominant in the air, Collins enjoyed a relatively even physical battle against Johan Elmander. Gary Hooper looked intimidated by the veteran. A decent day's work from the Welsh international, though committed the foul that let Snodgrass score the winner.

  • Guy Demel
    2
    0
    3.00

    Guy Demel

Unlucky not to give his side an early lead when his header was tipped onto the crossbar by John Ruddy. Struggled at times to cope with Anthony Pilkington and his replacement Nathan Redmond.

  • Kevin Nolan
    1
    1
    3.50

    Kevin Nolan

Still adjusting to his new position as West Ham's false number nine, Nolan led his side's line well and did well to set up the opening goal. Unlucky not to get his name on the scoresheet.

  • Jack Collison
    1
    0
    2.50

    Jack Collison

Spread the ball awhen West Ham dominated the play, he linked up well with Noble and held back well, allowing Ravel Morrison to do the damage in the final third. Withdrawn midway through the second half with his side in need of a goal.

  • Ravel Morrison
    3
    0
    3.50

    Ravel Morrison

Thriving in his free role behind Nolan, the Norwich defence struggled to deal with Morrison all game long, with the playmaker at his best when on the ball. Deserved his goal but was notably quieter in the second half.

  • Mark Noble
    1
    1
    3.00

    Mark Noble

Worked tirelessly throughout the game but failed to get forward as often as he would have liked. Linked up well with Collison.

  • Stewart Downing
    2
    0
    2.50

    Stewart Downing

A quiet performance on the right from the ex-Liverpool man. Showed great work-rate but did not see enough of the ball. Needs to offer more in attack

  • Joe Cole
    1
    1
    2.00

    Joe Cole

Virtually anonymous on the left, Cole struggled to impose himself on the game. No longer has the legs to play in his anywhere but his favoured central position.

Substitutions

  • Matthew Jarvis

    Matthew Jarvis

Came on late with his side needing a goal. Had little time to make an impact.

  • Mohamed Diame

    1
    2.50

    Mohamed Diame

Offered a lot more than Joe Cole after coming on, though that does not say much. His physical presence caused Norwich problems but he struggled to create anything of note.

  • Carlton Cole
    1
    1
    2.00

    Carlton Cole

Came on with his side needing a goal and did not provide it. Did nothing to convince Sam Allardyce that it is time to start playing with a traditional striker again.
