  • The match marks the first meeting between the two storied sides.
  • Both teams will play their next matches in New York, with the winner taking on the winner of Chelsea-Inter and the loser dropping down to the loser's bracket and meeting the Chelsea-Inter loser.
  • There will be no extra time in any matches in the ICC. If a match is tied after regulation, it goes straight to penalty kicks. Teams receive two points for a regulation win and one for a PK win.
  • Los Che striker Roberto Soldado is the subject of fervent transfer rumors, with the club's president saying he could be had for a €30 million transfer fee. Tottenham are said to be the Spanish forward's most serious suitor.
  • AC Milan are also heavily involved in the transfer market, with the club being linked to Japan star Keisuke Honda.
