Another goalkeeping error by the South United custodian allowed Lalruatdika to put his side ahead for the third time in the 35th minute, while B. Zoramthara beat substitute keeper Rasakh to give Luangmual a two-goal cushion in the 57th minute.
South United tried to fight back but could only reply with a late goal scored off a flag-kick by Jayanta Raj Banshi in the 83rd minute.
