Full-time: Millwall 0-0 Blackburn Rovers This FA Cup tie will go to a replay at Ewood Park as both sides' wasteful finishing proved costly in this drab quarter-final. The home side had the better chances and the best of all, as Rob Hulse fired over from five yards out, but the away side improved in the second half. Jordan Rhodes fired over when well placed while Andy Keogh hit the post for the hosts in the opening period, with Josh King hitting the same upright in the second half with a bullet header. A fair result though, in the battle of the two remaining sides outside of the Premier League.

Grant Hanley defends the latest bombardment into the Rovers area before the young defender is involved in a late tussle with Andy Keogh with Hanley believing the Millwall striker dived to try and win a late penalty. Both players are booked by Martin Atkinson for their bust-up. This one looks like it's heading to a replay...

Nuno Gomes is introduced for Josh King as Michael Appleton makes his final throw of the dice. Jason Lowe has to hook away under pressure from the home side to concede a throw-in in a dangerous position.

Millwall cranking up the pressure now and come close again when Danny N'Guessan controls and turns on a sixpence, but his curling effort is over. The profligacy in front of goal this afternoon has been so frustrating for both sets of fans.

    Yellow Card Leon Best

Millwall force a succession of corners and almost grab the elusive opening goal here as a vicious centre across the face from Chris Taylor lands at the near post but cannot be turned home.
  • 79'
It's been a real classic English cup tie in the second half, a complete turnaround from a woeful first period. The latest chance in this end-to-end clash falls to Rob Hulse, but Scott Dann gets back to deflect his shot safely into Jake Kean's grasp.
  • 76'
Blackburn now force their way back into the game and it's their time to hit the woodwork as Josh King's emphatic header amongst a melee striking the post before the home side eventually clear.
  • 73'
Jordan Rhodes nearly escapes down the left but finds a wall of Millwall defenders in his path as he looks to dig out a cross or an effort on target. Neither materialise, but the visitors do earn a corner...
  • 70'
Keogh then engineers a cross of his own, but Danny N'Guessan is unable to get a clean contact. The home side slowly getting on top again now.
  • 67'
Alan Dunne produces a wonderful cross to the back post where Andy Keogh is lurking to finish with his head, but just as he goes to make a connection, Jason Lowe gets a crucial touch to divert the ball away from danger.
  • 64'
Millwall have resorted to playing the long game, with a series of balls being pumped into the Rovers area to test Jake Kean, with Rob Hulse and Andy Keogh looking to seize on any hesitancy from the visiting stopper.
  • 61'
After such an electric start to the second half, both sides are looking to get their foot on the ball once more and dictate the play. More of the same in the last ten minutes would be greatly appreciated by the neutrals I'm sure!
  • 58'
The second half has come to life here, but still it remains goalless. Danny Shittu came within inches of scoring an outstanding goal, as his thunderbolt from range brought the best out of Jake Kean, who will have been praising his luck just minutes later as Rob Hulse misses a sitter to open the scoring. After a well-worked move involving Jack Smith and Alan Dunne, the latter crossed for Hulse, who could only blaze over the bar.
  • 55'
Shane Lowry enters referee Martin Atkinson's notebook for a, put quite simply, robust challenge on the marauding David Bentley whose progress was abruptly halted. Rovers have started to get on top in this one, with Josh King sending over a teasing cross and having a shot blocked before a Morten Gamst Pedersen shot from a well-worked corner sails over the bar.
  • 53'
    Yellow Card Shane Lowry
  • 52'
Immediately followed by a less than lively three minutes, with the visitors forced into a tactical reshuffle and re-think after David Dunn's introduction into a slightly unfamiliar right-back role.
  • 49'
A livelier start to the second half here as Jordan Rhodes misses Blackburn's first chance of the game and the best chance in the contest as a whole as he blazes over at the far post following a long ball over the top. Bradley Orr, a substitute himself in the first half, is forced off by injury and is replaced by David Dunn.

And the second half is underway at the New Den!
  • 45'
Half-time: Millwall 0-0 Blackburn Rovers. It has been a bruising affair at the New Den with the physicality of challenges and both sides' inability to retain possession the most obvious talking points in a drab first half. The home side have had the better chances, Andy Keogh striking the inside of a post and Liam Trotter bending just wide but that has well and truly been it as an attacking spectacle. Surely the second half will get better... Surely?
  • 43'
The game is petering out to half-time ever so slightly here, with lofted balls into the area dealt with comfortably by both sides.
  • 40'
Millwall come within inches of taking the lead as Adam Smith bends a superb ball into the box and Andy Keogh meets it at the far post only to see his header come cannoning back off the foot of the upright. Best chance of the match by a country mile.

  • 36'
Adam Henley is forced off with what appears to be a hamstring injury, with Bradley Orr stepping off the bench to replace him. Both teams are still sizing each other up, with less than 10 minutes until the half-time interval.
  • 32'
Millwall have the ball in the net as Rob Hulse heads home, but the goal is ruled out for a foul by Danny N'Guessan on goalkeeper Jake Kean before Liam Trotter wastes a cross from a presentable position, firing into the arms of a grateful Kean.
  • 28'
    Yellow Card Jason Lowe
  • 28'
The stage is set for David Bentley as he stands over a free-kick just outside the area, but his weak effort is straight into the wall before a long, speculative pass upfield almost finds Jordan Rhodes' elusive run in behind the defence, but Millwall deal well with the looping ball.
  • 26'
    Yellow Card David Forde
  • 26'
    Yellow Card Marcus Olsson
  • 24'
The first meaningful effort of the game falls to Liam Trotter, but he fails to direct his shot on target after good play from Jack Smith. Trotter was always off balance as he attempted to curl the ball into the far corner but Kenny Jackett will be encouraged by his side's performance in the last few minutes.
  • 20'
The first shot of the game falls to Jack Smith, who is looking very comfortable in possession now, despite his effort flying harmlessly wide. The home side maybe starting to get slightly on top out of the two teams now.
  • 16'
It was always likely to prove a bruising clash and a moment of controversy just a few moments ago has left Scott Dann nursing a cut under his eye. Rob Hulse went up with the centre-back, who felt Hulse has used his elbow during an aerial challenge. Game-wise, it's still very hard for either side to get any real momentum going.
  • 12'
It really has been a scrappy start to the game here with Morten Gamst Pedersen's horrendous free-kick perhaps epitomising the starts both sides have made here. Foul throws have also been a recurring theme throughout in the opening exchanges.
  • 8'
The first creative spark in this game comes from the home side as neat interplay by Rob Hulse allows Danny N'Guessan to sprint down the left-hand side, but the subsequent cross is wasteful as the Frenchman blazes the ball out of play.
  • 4'
A physical battle early on as both sides compete for possession. The home side have forced a series of free-kicks but Blackburn, who sealed their quarter-final spot with a win at Arsenal no less, defend manfully to see off any danger.
