Chinese Taipei - Guam Preview: Both teams will look for a consolation win
Chinese Taipei and Guam are out of contention for a berth in the 2014 Challenge Cup but will play for pride as they hope to give their fans something to cheer about.

Guam's horrible AFC Challenge Cup qualifiers have not come to an end just yet as they are set to play their last game on Wednesday against Chinese Taipei. Looking toothless and being likened to a schoolboy team in their previous games, Guam have been so incredibly poor that their coach Gary White does not know which problem to address first.
Chinese Taipei are more than a decent opponent at this level and did well in their last outing against Myanmar as they nicked a point off the White Angels. Taipei were heading for a draw in their first game as well but late heroics from Robin Singh stole the points for the Blue Tigers. It could have been so different for them and they would indeed count themselves a touch unlucky.

There is a small chance for Taipei though, if they are succesful in hammering Guam by a huge margin and if India manage to do them a favour by winning handsomely against Myanmar. At the end of today's game if Taipei stand the best second-placed side among all the AFC Challenge Cup qualifying groups, then they stand a slim chance of going throught by the skin of their teeth. That being said, the future looks bleak for Chen Kuei-Jen's men as they prepare to take the field in their final group match.
Guam will look to garner atleast a point as the qualifiers come to an end and a victory would be cheered as a tournament win for the minnows.
On the other hand, Chinese Taipei will look to vent their frustration on spineless Guam side to end their qualification on a high.
