The Romanian had such an easy 90 minutes that he probably could have kicked back in a deck chair while sipping on a cocktail and gazing into the sky. He saved a free kick at the end of the first half, but had little else to do.

  • Aleksandar Kolarov

    Aleksandar Kolarov

City spent most of their time on the attack, therefore Kolarov had very little to do in terms of defending. However, for a full-back who did not do much defending, he was not as influential in attack as he would have liked. Generally a quiet afternoon.

  • Kolo Toure

    Kolo Toure

The experienced defender rarely looked troubled thanks to City's superiority and some effective shielding by Garcia. However, he made a mess out of several clearances and suffered a few wobbly moments.

  • Matija Nastasic

    Matija Nastasic

The young defender continues to look a classy player, but he was hardly tested at all against Leeds. Most of the time he was keeping McCormack at bay, and he did so with ease.

  • Pablo Zabaleta

    Pablo Zabaleta

City's captain for the day had a comfortable outing. Diouf roamed about a bit and occasionally came up against the Argentine, but Zabaleta was calm and collected throughout.

  • David Silva

    David Silva

The Spaniard is not enjoying his best season in a City shirt, but he looked a lot better today. He played a role in three of City's goals, including a delightful lofted ball over the defence for Aguero's second. Overall he will be pleased with his influential display.

  • James Milner

    James Milner

Playing against his former side, Milner received a great reception from both sets of supporters at the beginning of the match and he will be content with his performance. His passing was very positive as he generally looked for the ball in behind the defence, and his partnership with Zabaleta was solid.

  • Javi García

    Javi García

Yet to show much of the ability which persuaded City to spend so much money on him, but put in a decent shift today. Distribution-wise he was fairly conservative as he just looked to keep move ticking, but he did a good job in breaking play up. He was also an aerial threat from set-pieces.

  • Yaya Touré

    Yaya Touré

Sorely missed while at the Africa Cup of Nations and now that is back you get the feeling is trying to make up for lost time. Against Leeds he was a commanding presence from the first minute and he bagged an excellent goal as he rounded the goalkeeper after playing two one-twos.

  • Carlos Tévez

    Carlos Tévez

Alongside Aguero, City had a highly-interchangeable attack and that worked like a charm as the Leeds defenders chased shadows most of the time. Tevez was involved in most of City's threatening attacks and assisted Toure for the opener.

  • Sergio Agüero

Sergio Agüero Top of the Match

Leeds had absolutely no hope of stopping the Argentine in this form. His link-up play with the City midfield was exceptional and he never gave the visitors' defence a moment of rest. Scored a penalty, got an assist and got City's fourth after a great Silva pass.

    Maicon

Replaced Tevez with about 25 minutes to go, filling in on the right just ahead of Zabaleta and he had little chance to impress.

The injury-prone midfielder had an extended cameo and looked fairly sharp without doing anything too spectacular.

  • Edin Dzeko

    Edin Dzeko

The Bosnian was given 10 minutes after coming on for Aguero and looked like a man who wanted to impress as he tested Ashdown from an unlikely angle. He should have crossed, however.

    Jamie Ashdown

Neil Warnock has remained very loyal to Ashdown this season, contuining to play the second-choice goalkeeper despite playing top opposition. Against City, Ashdown did not produce any howlers, but he will be disappointed at being rounded by Toure for the opening goal.

  • Lee Peltier

    Lee Peltier

In the first couple of minutes the centre-back looked commanding as he put in a crunching tackle on Carlos Tevez. The match got a lot tougher as it went on, with the constant movement of the City attack causing Peltier plenty of headaches. He appeared more composed than his partner, but he'll be glad to see the back of Aguero and Co.

    Samuel Bryam

The presence of Silva, Aguero and Tevez meant he had plenty to deal with in the first half. However, in the second period the hosts seemed reluctant to attack down their left, meaning Byram had more license to get forward. Perhaps should have done better against Aguero for the third goal.

  • Stephen Warnock

    Stephen Warnock

A battle between he and Milner looked set to begin towards the beginning of the match, but as the game went on Milner found himself roaming more and more. Luckily for Warnock that meant City posed little threat down the right and he had a fairly quiet afternoon.

  • Tom Lees

    Tom Lees

The younger of the Leeds central defenders, and that really showed at times. Tevez and Aguero had a field day against him on occasion, with the latter drawing a penalty out of the England Under-21 international after gliding past him like he wasn't there.

  • Aidan White

Aidan White Flop of the Match

The least ineffectual of the Leeds midfield trio. Always offloaded the ball once he received it and rarely put tackles in.

    Rodolph Austin

The Jamaican midfielder sat very deep and patrolled across the width of the pitch. He made some very good tackles without being over the top like Brown, and he never stopped running for his team.

  • Michael Brown

    Michael Brown

The midfielder notorious for causing trouble on the field had been constrained in previous clashes with Premier League sides this season, but today he let the cat out of the cage at times. Confrontations with Yaya Toure and Tevez immediately spring to mind, while he did not do a great deal on the ball.

  • El-Hadji Diouf

    El-Hadji Diouf

Tried to put his authority on Leeds attacks, but often he looked like he was trying to do everything himself. When he came deep he did not have much influence and he hardly touched the ball after halftime.

  • Luke Varney

    Luke Varney

Has been given a hard time by Leeds fans at times this season for less than impressive displays, and today followed a similar pattern. Of course in Zabaleta he faced on of the Premier League's best right-backs so he can't be criticised too much, but he was virutally anonymous.

  • Ross McCormack

    Ross McCormack

This will be a match quickly forgotten by the Scot as he was verging on invisible in the first half and was then replaced at the break.

Replaced Brown with 15 minutes to go, but the match was already won and lost by then.

Came on for the poor McCormack at half-time, but aside from a few aerial challenges with Nastasic, he contributed precious little.
