Semen Padang have already made it through from the Group E, as the Indonesian side has earned 13 points from five matches. The other team who have confirmed their spot in the round of 16 is Kitchee SC from Hong Kong, who beat Churchill Brothers 4-0 in the last match.

The Indonesian Premier League outfit are unbeaten in the group stage, besides Iraqi side Arbil SC in Group B, and stand the opportunity to qualify to the knock-out phase unbeaten, a day after East Bengal achieved the feat this season in Group H.

Meanwhile, with their eyes set on the I-League title, Churchill Brothers have deliberately travelled with a large number of second string players in order to keep their regular starters fit for the important league match against Mohun Bagan on Saturday.

Players like Beto, Sunil Chhetri, Lamine Tamba, Henri Antchouet, Denzil Franco, Lenny Rodrigues and Dharmaraj Ravanan have hence been left out of the squad.
